The buffet changed its name to Yome Garden Buffet. It has various food made. The food are ok. Not too bad. A good place to watch sports as well, such as the Warriors.

I’m not one to give bad reviews because running a business to everyone’s liking is not easy. However, I have to make an exception in this case because I found the food to be subpar. Even if the food is not tasty, it should be hot in the restaurant business. This was not the case on my visit. It was lukewarm at best. For my personal taste, the spices used in the chicken wings, beef stew, hot sour soup, and sticky rice tamales were not to my liking. I’ve dined here before and it was much tastier. Apparently, the new ownership doesn’t cater to my tastebuds. The one exception is the vinegared pig’s feet. Soft and yummy!

Wasn’t worth the trip over from Marin! They didn’t give me the drink I ordered and paid for before I was sat, then when I inquired about it they told me I needed to pay thank goodness I had them email me the receipt! Terrible service! On my 2nd trip back from buffet, everything was gone! I asked what happened to my table setting? Mind you I’d only been there approximately 20 minutes by this point, they replied«we thought you left». Ugh! Awful experience! Not to mention possible case of food poisoning!

Don’t EVER come here ! This place was awful, my nephew had chicken that was super cold, the beef and broccoli was disgusting, chow Maine had a weird taste not good. I wouldn’t even give this one star more like negative star, and the hostess was very rude. Overall even the restaurant was dirty, with bad customer service! NEVERAGAIN

The only place where you can have bao, chow mein, sushi, crème brûlée, and French fries on your plate. I can’t believe this place is only ten bucks a person. Pretty extensive buffet with decent sushi, Chinese classics, and dim sum/dessert. Only negative was some stuff was a bit cold, and staff wasn’t the friendliest… but we came an hour before closing. Can’t beat all you can eat Chinese food for so cheap

I went to Lee’s Garden Buffet for lunch with friends, & da ohana following a funeral in El Cerrito. Lee’s Garden Buffet kinda reminds me of a «Buffet 100» we use to have back home in da 808! Lee’s offered a HUGE selection of foods like — dim sum, sushi, seafood, fried food items, fruit/salad bar, & dessert bar. Most of the food items had a little bit of American, as well as Asian fare. I mostly tapped into the dim sum items, the char sui ribs, fried chicken wings, and some mixed veggies. I also had some fruit for dessert, as well as a little Crème Brulee for dessert. The restaurant is pretty huge, and can seat a lot of people here. It’s a great place to go if you have to host a very large party. The food is pretty decent for a volume buffet. I gotta give credit to the staff at Lee’s as they kept the buffet area clean. And since there was about 4, or 5 long rolls of buffet tables… there was a lot to keep up with as far as filling it up, and keeping the serving area clean. Parking is plentiful, as Lee’s Garden Buffet has a private parking lot. It’s very easy to find too, as Lee’s Garden Buffet is located at the Hilltop Mall. Service was so-so, as it took forever for a waitress to come by to take our drink orders, and give us hot tea. The waitress also did not come by to take away dirty plates, so we ended up stacking our used plates,(to make room on our table) if we decided to go back for seconds.

When is Lee’s Garden Buffet not Lee’s Garden Buffet? When it has new owners, of course! This buffet has been our go-to place for several years and it’s always been very good. Today, New Year’s Day, we decided to introduce a neighbor to the place, as thanks for her help with some heavy chores. It was an hour before closing, and we noticed they were out of a lot of things. What the heck, it’s a holiday. But that was no excuse for the place being freezing cold — even the help were wearing heavy jackets. We asked one of the employees, who said«They want it cold — they won’t let us turn the heat on»! It was miserable to eat there — not what we’ve come to expect — so I asked for the manager to find out what had gone wrong. The staff seemed to have difficulty understanding the word«manager», but I spotted someone who looked official and talked to him. He explained that this was his first day, and everyone’s first day except a few former employees who were staying on. I asked if there was a new owner and he said yes. He didn’t offer an explanation for why the heat was turned off, but he said it would take them«a few weeks to solve all the problems with the building». I thanked him, but explained that we were embarrassed and uncomfortable, and we might not be back for quite a while. He didn’t seem too concerned. I’m writing this review as fair warning — this isn’t the place you know and love. Hopefully, they will get their problems worked out, but for now, don’t expect too much.

Be careful with the cashier. She was rude. She charged week day buffet for weekend rate. Also charges 15% tip without our consents. When we asked her about the bill, she had very bad attitude. She blamed on us — the customers not to respect her. Also she charged the hot tea for $ 1.25 per person, which we barely drank any. We thought the tea was included in the buffet, since we found the tea cup ourselves. The cashier should be fired. Give two star, the food was decent. Other waiter/waitress were nice.

Worst Chinese buffet I’ve ever had. The most of food were cold. The taste was only eatable. The worst part: the cashier lady was rude. She threw the receipt back to me(really wish that I could record this…) I never heard thank you. And the price is not include drinks. 2 stars because the other staff was nice at first.

Went here for lunch after a funeral in Vallejo. Highly impressed. My uncle pressured us to go here and we’re like, we’re going to Richmond for a Chinese buffet? –__– The oysters were crazy good in that black bean sauce. THEY’REHUGE. The rest of the entrees were actually HOT and not cold or reheated. Everything was surely fresh. Service was okay. Just as how you’d find it at any other Chinese buffet. They pretend they don’t see you because there is only three of them on the floor. Had to ask twice for refills and napkins. Whatever. Would go again. Kind of pricey, but well worth it.

Do not eat here if you are craving seafood. There was no crab even though we called to confirm. No crawfish and barely any shrimps. The only thing I ate was clams and sesame balls. Everything else was gross! Will never come back! Ps. I had to select 1 star since I couldn’t leave it blank. Would rather give –2 stars!

The food is surprisingly yummy. I love seafood but picky because I couldn’t stand the smell. And at Lee’s Garden the seafood are yummy. Especially the clams! I don’t mind coming and just have that. The price is quite a good deal for buffet. Come hungry!

Me my wife and my mother in law was invited to celebrate my wife’s sister in laws moms surprise birthday. It was a pretty nice day and most of the invitees came from church. It was a Sunday. Finding this place was not hard because I was pretty familiar with the area. As we got here, the place pretty roomy and have ample parking spaces. The food choices, as you would expect from a Chinese cuisine buffet was common(fried rice, chow mein, chow fun, Mongolian beef… etc.) but there were a lot of choices on sea food such as fish, clams and such. I not really big on fish so I just limit myself with what I think was safe for me to eat. The service was okay. Our attendant was pretty good and was also proactive in keeping up with our drinks. All in all my experience here was good and everyone had a great time.

I don’t understand the low ratings here. Look at the price. They should charge a lot more! I got crab, seafood, sushi, roast duck oysters, clam. Go to any restaurant and you will pay triple. Yes the food isn’t going to be 5 star quality(duh) but it was so cheap and the selection of food was great. They had everything.

you get what you paid for… you get some unique items like lamb stew, whole crab shell, frieds fish with eggs inside… but none are fresh… crabs/fish taste mushy, sashimi looks very unfresh, everything with bad color… I had a diarrhea that night. $ 12 weekend dinner buffet, you get what you paid for tho…

I came here HANGRY after waiting awhile for my car to be maintained. This place was the closest I really can’t complain for $ 10.99 buffet. However, cleanliness and only certain items were worth my pretty penny. I was pleasantly surprised they kept the body of the fried crab. I was happy they had lots of eggs. It was dry but I’m pretty sure they had to to make its tough shell shell easier to break when fried. Nothing vinegar can’t fix! I liked the chow fun; watermelons were sweet, clams, and oysters were good… not many choices. The dim sum was just ok. Stay away from the potstickers. The Sui Mai was probably the best choice, but had a weird taste. Again, nothing vinegar couldn’t fix! If you’re a sushi snob I suggest you stay away from it, unless you love California rolls. Stick with the tamago nigiri if anything… but I was really afraid to try the faded-colored looking fish on top of the California rolls. They had a sign that suggested that the intake of raw fish can lead to food poisoning.(I never seen that anywhere else). Covering some behind tactics. They have deep fried sushi too but I was never a fan. Overall you have a two hour limit. Don’t waste food or else you’ll get a $ 20 wasteful charge. They aren’t very clean. kind of below average. From where I was sitting, which was not next to the bathroom, had a faint smell of urine… I guess it went away as I sat there longer. On the plus side they have strong toilets!

The price is good, yes, but the overall quality of the food is sub-sub-SUB mediocre at best. Hubbers and I walked in and the place looked pretty decent. Seeing the floor clean in an AYCE buffet made a good impression on us. So we paid and we got seated(and our drinks) quickly. As always in a buffet, I circled around first to make my choices. Everything looked very good. However, the moment I took my first taste of their hot and sour soup and first bite on the fried fish told me the food may have been sitting there for quite some time. But I didn’t want to make a quick judgement on their overall offerings based on two dishes. So I moved on with everything else I got. The only ones I ended up liking was the steamed fish, the noodles, the fried shrimp and the clams.(They’re the ones that ran out fast, therefore, they may just be the few items on there that are actually prepped fresh.) As I mentioned earlier, everything else tasted old. Tried a couple of their fried sushi rolls. Totally regretted it. Also had the steamed oysters. I’ve had fresh oyster many times and theirs is absolutely NOT fresh. ATALL. Not even close. The soy sauce bottle and the hot sauce jar provided at the table needs to be CLEANED!!! That looked way too nasty. They must have been sitting there neglected for MONTHS!!! The bathroom walls and doors are all scratched and written on. Floors and counters are pretty clean, though, but overall needs redoing. The food didn’t sit well in my stomach. Had to make a few trips to the bathroom when I got home. Ugh. I would give this NO star, but the one star is because Hubbers was«ok» with it. Couldn’t do a ZERO-STAR if I wanted to anyway… No, not coming back. Nope.

I’ve been to Lee’s Garden Buffet a couple of times. Some were just casual family dinners, and others were red egg party’s. The food is decent, especially when it’s about $ 10. Some of the goods would be– Steamed oysters, black bean clams, stir fried crab(seasonal), sweet honey fried wonton skin(delicious!), hot and sour soup, eggplant tofu, and veggie vermicelli. The fried foods are fried and predictable. Sushi section is a hit or miss. It depends on the night. Heads up– The ice cream machine is on and off sometimes. And when it’s on, the ice cream could be churning, so depending on your luck, it may be runny liquidy ice cream, or fresh frozen ice cream.
