Happy good Friday! No meat day but fish. My family and I was craving for Long John Silvers and I went on Unilocal to check out the nearest location. This location doesn’t have good reviews but I still wanted to give it a try since I didn’t want to drive all the way to Vallejo. Came in to the place was greeted promptly by the cashier. Took my order(although couldn’t decide what I wanted) but he was very patient. I give this location 4 star because Fernando was very kind and attentive to his customers.

Oh where to begin?! I’ve visited this location several times and never had a great experience, but today took the prize! First of all I sat in line behind only ONE car in the drive thru for over 8 minutes waiting for them to answer the speaker to take their order. Once I got to the speaker they took my order promptly, but that’s where the good ends. It took them another ten minutes to get the people ahead of me their ONE bag of food(how much could they possibly have ordered? It was only one bag?!). Then when I get to the window to get my shrimp, the guy at the drive thru tells me they are out of ketchup! What kind of sh*t is that?! A chicken/seafood place being out of one of the 3 top condiments used?! Unacceptable! I told him if I’d known that I’d never have ordered the shrimp. Instead of offering to let me order something different all he said was«Sorry» and handed me my bag of food. Needless to say, I won’t be going back!

ZEROSTARS, please! I suggested Long John Silver’s to my husband– an innocent first timer who’s never had Long John’s before. Big mistake, the food made him so sick! Super greasy and tasted old! Here’s the kicker: we asked for Tarter Sauce, which is like a basic condiment for a seafood fast food restaurant serving FISH N CHIPS… Get this. They don’t have ANYTARTERSAUCE! That is such a fail on so many levels! forrrrrr shameeeee– never again. I’m such a jerk for taking my husband here :(

haven’t gone to Long John Silver for years. menu is mostly fried and breaded items.(also previously frozen)… don’t like paying full price. getting a coupon would help. previously had the fish & chip, prawms, too much batter, not enough seafood. fries salty. one day, i’ll try again.

Couldn’t decide what to eat last night so I ended up here. Now I like KFC their food is normally pretty good. But this particular location gives the chain a bad name. The young lady that helped me at the drive thru was nice and fast not to mention really cute. But when I got home and saw what I wasted my 8 bucks on I was disgusted. My «whole chicken wings» were tiny as party wings. It was super greasy and looked old, it actually looked like some wings that were plucked out of the trash. I really can’t even describe how horrible this chicken was I ate one cause I was starving and I feel like I’m gonna have to call the CDC and be quarantined lol. Seriously the worse experience ever I will never stop at a KFC again in life. Knew I should have just went to wing stop!

[worst experience ever 40 minutes and they tried to serve me food that was dropped!!!] Waited in line(5 people) for 10 minutes. When it was my turn — he asked for me to wait for another 5 minutes. Once I ordered my food — it’s been over 30 minutes after ordering and I still haven’t gotten my food. I want to speak to the manager but there’s a line of 3 people for that also… [additional edit] Coincidentally, after waiting in line for management, the staff had dropped my food before attempting to give it to me. No replacement of food was given until I had spoken with management. They had attempted to reissue, but they were required to re-cook the food. After 40 minutes of waiting, I had not intended to wait and requested for money back. 40 minutes of wasted time and to walk out with no food!!! * Entered Restaurant @ approximately 2:55PM(Customer line 4 customers) * When it was my turn(10 minutes of waiting) was asked to wait(total 5 minutes) NOTE: Understood the delay — but awaited patiently then ordered * Awaited over 30 minutes for food(Long John’s 2-check planks, #3 original with coleslaw, #2 with fried green tomato) * I saw staff drop of food before serving without replacing contents and they served my order(even though it was dropped) * I was very upset that they were willing to serve dropped food(on top of waiting over 30 minutes) * Asked to speak to the Manager(Carlos)(5 minutes because others were upset with the service and were talking to the manager) * Asked for them to replace the content of the food dropped — they needed to re-cook the food which would take approximately an additional 4 minutes * Appalled of the delay and the service — manager gave money back and I walked out with no food after waiting a total of 40 minutes * Departed around 3:40PM from location feeling completely upset and angry It is ridiculous to wait approximately 40 minutes for«fast food» and have them attempt to give food after it has been dropped. At the end, I didn’t walk out with any food due to quality of service. It should never take this long for«dropped food» — I saw this happen with my own eyes and was surprised they were so willing to give the food that was dropped because I was required to wait additional time, I refused since the staff was ignorant to serving food that has been dropped. I had not wanted to experience this again and was on a tight time limit — so had to leave without the food. I like the food but the service(probably majorly understaffed)

This has to be one of the worst excuses for a restaurant in the chain. This does not come from some upset customer who had a once-in-a-lifetime experience… this place is consistently a dump and on an August night in 2014 I have given this place the last opportunity in the world to dis-serve me. So I don’t waste anymore time on this pathetic excuse for a fast food chain that actually has an armed guard watching over it… apparently upset customers is a common thing; or being mugged so either way it is a place I will avoid for now on(even when desperate for fast food). The drive-through line took f o r e v e r and once the two of us made it to place our order, we had to repeat everything several times — and my pronunciation and verbal English is native and clear. Once oozing our way up to the window we were told to wait in the parking lot as our complex 12 piece chicken tender order was not ready. Once in the parking lot we were forgotten; we watched as several other cars completed their orders and drove away; finally we decided to go inside — there we could see the poor condition of the kitchen and the struggling staff. After being ignored a bit longer we were offered our food — after almost a half hour? No thanks.

So I come here for the long john silvers portion of the restaurant. Sometimes I just have to scratch my itch for greasy fish! It always seems like a good idea when I’m in the area-that is until I get here and wait 20 min to order and another 10 to get my food. Then check my order only to realize there are items missing. Ask for condiments-seriously did you think I wanted dry, greasy fish? I got a large combo with extra fish he gave me two packs or tarter sauce, a fork and no napkins. I ordered nothing that required a fork but ketchup for my frozen fries would have been nice… Ugh! Oh well I’m not in the area often and when I am ill prob still stop by so yeah I’m not boycotting just reminding myself(and maybe you) of what to expect when you are here

Every time I go here I tell myself I’ll never do it again. But if course, time heals the pain. So after today’s complete debacle I’ll never go here again. Drove there at halftime of the niners game Sunday. Got my order to go and made it home at the end of the 4th quarter! Soooooo slow! Very bad service. The chicken was over cooked and just plain bad. The one bright spot was Luis said«sorry about the wait». Thanks Luis, your the lone bright spot in a bad place! Good luck! In closing I’d stay away from this place. It will put you in a bad mood fast! And that’s the only thing fast this place is capable of!!!

Went into this restaurant about 30 minutes before closing. Greeted from behind the counter by a worker who thought she was auditioning for ‘American Idol’. The manager was standing right there. As I am placing the order, the ‘manager’ seemed to have an attitude. After waiting 20 minutes, we received our meal. The batter on the fish was very SALTY and greasy. I could not even eat it. I could go on about the(non) security guard. but I am done.

This place is HORRIBLE. I had been wanting to try this place since I seen signs for this place going to David, Ca years back and I always wanted to try it. My husband and I went to a furniture store out in Richmond and my husband had remembered that they had a Long Johns there. So after couch shopping we decided to give it try. Upon entering it didn’t seem so bad just the fact that a bunch of high school kids work here and DIDNOT keep this place clean at all. I ordered the Shrimp and Cod basket which came with fries and coleslaw. My husband got the same but he had the platter. My daughter ate KFC. Well upon waiting hella long to get our food I noticed that they kept this place FILTHY! Splatters of sauce on the walls, chairs falling apart, garbage dispenser all dripped with dry old ketchup. I was just gross! Looked like they had not mopped or swept in a long time. We got our meal eventually. Looked and smelled decent. I took a bite of my shrimp and it wasn’t crispy enough batter was BLAH! My cod was fried on one side and the bottom was stuck soggy to my box! UMMmmm NOOO! The fries looked like they needed to change the oil because they were covered in tiny bits of black spots from old god knows how long ago oil. Ewww my son didn’t even wanna eat them. This place was Horrible and I will NEVEREVERGOHEREAGAIN!

Their food was old and cold. Many many menu choices(since it’s a KFC *and* a Long John Silver’s), but it was all fried in rancid oil and left out for hours. The battered fish was especially old. Several hours after going there, we both feel a little queasy. There wasn’t anything vaguely healthy, not that you’d expect it.

This place is quite bad. We went through the drive thru and ordered a fish meal. They said it would take 3 minutes so told us to park and they would bring it out. 7 minutes later the woman comes out with our meal and seemed completely hassled to have to bring it out to us. She didn’t even say a word as she handed us the meal. The fish pretty much sucked too. Not anything like we remember from other Long Johns locations like 15 years ago. It use to be light but this stuff was totally caked on with grease and seemed over cooked as well.

The first cashier we dealt with was slow and very much acted as if we didn’t want to be there and wished we were not either. The place needed a good cleaning and the restrooms were in a sad state of affairs. We wiped off our own table as all those around us were left unclean and the place was not even busy with only two other tables besides us and no lines at the counter. One family walked in, looked around, commented about the place and left and I understand why. I gave two stars because the second person we dealt with, guessing the shift leader, was super friendly when he called out and presented our order and it showed he really cared. The food was OK, nothing like we’ve experienced at other Long John Silver’s locations. I have fond memories of their food when I was a GI but maybe those are long lost days not to be relived.

I went to this location for the second time on Sunday. I always get the Fish and More. It’s greasy, it’s fatty, it’s delicious. Not healthy but great for once in awhile to spoil yourself. Kind of expensive for what you get unless you have a coupon.

Being from the midwest I love LJS. I was so happy to find this one the other night that still craving that LJS flavor I looked to see if there were any on the SF side. Found one in South San Francisco and went today, but everything was super dry and the crumbs were like fake synthetic crumbs, as though they’d made them from some pre-packaged box for people who want crumbs. So won’t be going back to that location, but will definitely be making the trek to the East Bay to this location next time I need my LJS fix. Mmm crumbs!

I like their deals. It’s cheap, it’s tasty and hot. And endless amounts of tartar sauce… AND malt vinegar… YUM. I use to order the clam strips but after they made the portions almost minuscule I was totally turned off and never ordered them again. Don’t get me wrong… They are asking for a lot for hand full of clam strips, literally a handful. I miss the old days.

Well I decided to hit Long John after a lonnnnng barrage of commercials. This place was very clean outside and inside. The cashier was very nice and patient while I read the menu. The food was brought to our table with a smile. Fish, popcorn shrimp, hushpuppies and fry’s were cooked picture perfect. I was impress for a chain place. This is also a KFC place. For those who do not know, My favorite drink from the Gods is PEPSI. Pepsi owns KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut :(~ and now I guess Long John. So if you are in the area give this a shot. JULY14 free fish taco Open til 230 pm

If you’re on a drive back from a Mother’s Day brunch in the Napa Valley, and you can’t make it back to the city without pulling off for a diet coke, this isn’t really the greatest spot in which to scratch that itch. First off, this place takes forever to get even the smallest order out. All the employees seem like they’re moving in slow motion, or maybe that was just my bleary perception that day. And I have finally, in my many many years of enjoying hot sauce, found the one thing that strangely does not go with it. When you get your small order of hush puppies and she offers you sauce, DONOT say yes to the hot sauce, as much as you think it might jazz up the little fried nuggets of goodness. The combination evoked sweaty feet and bitterness. KFC is inside there, too.
