One of the most poorly run Paneras I have ever been to. They need to get their act together. 9am on a Friday and they run out of bagels. They primarily sell — bagels. Always disorganized and marginal service it’s really a shame.

Pretty standard Panera, you know what you are getting. The pros of this particular location is that the layout is different from other Paneras and it offers a more private setting. As other Unilocalers have said, you can get work done here because the floorplan is not as open. Cons are that I’ve been here twice in the past week and had problems both times. The first time I ordered a flatbread sandwich and soup as part of the you pick two. When I went to pick up my flatbread, they informed me they had to make it without the sauce that comes on it because they are out. Okay, but a mediterranean chicken flatbread is not just something I can squirt mayonnaise and mustard on and it be okay. I wish they had told me at the beginning they were out, but there is so much disconnect between the people who take your order and the people who make your order. Thinking that I could not eat it dry nor alleviate the problem myself, I asked for a ½ turkey sandwich on the whole grain bread. The manager brought it out and the sandwich was still on country miche, I gave up the fight and ate my food. A couple of days later, I wanted soup again so I went back. My fiancé went this time and ordered the you pick two with an apple as his side. I go to pick up the food and he has bread on the side, and the lady seemed irritated when I asked her to swap it out for the apple originally ordered. Aside from the lack of customer service and lack of desire to please the customer, this is your average panera with your average panera food.

This(and quite frankly, all) Panera Bread can be hit or miss. While the good is usually good, what really irks me is the service. Tonight in particular. I was excited to see my favorite baked potato soup on the menu, so I ordered that and the chicken Cesar salad as part of my You Pick 2. When my order was served, they told me they were all out. Common sense tells me they should’ve informed me before my order was confirmed, but alas, I settled for a lukewarm bowl of chicken noodle salt. To call it soup is an insult to chefs everywhere because this was just depression in a bowl. Panera, get your shit together.

I’m a fan of this Panera. Aside from the parking, which can be a headache since it shares a lot with Fresh Market, Petco, and Chipotle, everything else is great. I always go for the you pick two, with a tuna sandwich and broccoli cheddar soup, and I have yet to be disappointed. The staff is always super friendly and my order is always ready in a flash. I also like the convenience of this Panera… it’s super easy to get to from my house, and I’m often in Carytown so this is an easy stop for me. I don’t visit often, but I have utilized their wi-fi and posted up for a few hours of work before. The layout of this particular location is pretty conducive to getting work done — it’s a more long and narrow setup than other Paneras, so you don’t feel like you’re sitting in such an open area and it’s easier to buckle down and concentrate. If you’re looking for scrumptious soup(seriously their broccoli cheddar is the one thing I crave when I’m sick) and a solid study spot, check out this Panera.

I previously had problems with the service at this Panera location. I am pleased to report that the service related issues have been resolved. When I call in an order, it is almost always ready for pick up when I get there. I know my coworkers are also getting better service there as well. The food has always been good.

I love this Panera! Its actually my favorite one around Richmond! Their service is excellent, and there’s plenty of seats available. This is a fairly new location. It opened up around August/September of 2012, along with the Fresh Market right next door. This is a great place to relax and/or study. Great atmosphere overall! I remember I was here around September 11, 2012, and their power went out. This happened before I wanted to purchase some pastries to bring home. Since their computers were down, they couldn’t ring me out since my only method of payment was a credit card. Instead, they just decided to give me the pastries for free. It was really nice of them to do that, and I greatly appreciated it!

Simple order, a broccoli cheddar soup bowl. One would think the staff could handle this in a timely & correct fashion. It took over five minutes waiting with no other customers just before the lunch rush. This I can handle, what I can’t handle is FORGETTING the bread bowl!!! Shame on me for assuming the order was correct & not checking. Perhaps a I’d be satisfied with a resolution after calling to report that the order was incorrect. What I received was no regret, almost like I was bothering them. Well I’ve learned my lesson, I should have gone to one of the local shops in the first place. At least there I’ll find people that care.

Just delicious! Their creamy tomato soup with a grilled cheese is absolutely amazing! The service is great. The wifi is good, it is quiet and I enjoy the layout of the seating creates very private spaces. The staff is always friendly and the Restaraunt is always clean. Their asiago cheese bagels are good too.

I have been to Panera Bread on several occasions, and I am beginning to believe; Some are better than others. Why I am saying this? The Panera Bread on W. Broad St in Short Pump makes a great sandwich and it is packed full of whatever you want when they make a sandwich. This past Sat, I entered this Panera Bread at 9a. I was thinking of the Egg; Bacon and Cheese on Asiago Bread at $ 3.99 plus Coffee of course… While waiting, I dived into the coffee and it was nice and hot. Whatever bean they were using and where it came from, had a nice full bodied flavor, which is too my liken. It would be nice to know what region of the world the Coffee came from as many of us like myself buy Whole Beans for a fresh brew at home. For myself, I find different regions of the World, have different taste in Coffee. When my Breakfast Sandwich was ready… the first thing I saw was two slices of bread toasted together… So I asked the young lady behind the counter… Did you put the Egg and Bacon in the Sandwich? She said Yes, and of course I took a peek and I have to say… They must have used a Quail Egg for the size of the Egg. One slice of cheese and ONE slice of bacon cut in half. It was ALL bread to say the least! I felt cheated in what I received with the tiny egg, ONE slice of cheese and this little ONE piece of Bacon. It was NOT worth the $ 3.99 as I felt like I was eating Bread ONLY. So, I will think twice before ordering again from Panera Bread at this location. The Coffee was good however… Enjoy!

It’s Panera. If you have never been, it is one of those places you gave to try and you will end up liking it and continue to pay $ 15 for a coffee and sandwich. Lol. Pastries are always wonderful. Glad someone came above the horrific Starbucks coffee and treats. Panera is always fresh and exciting. This place has good room for large groups and studying but the social atmosphere is lacking since it is all on the next street in Carytown.

The set up of this Panera is pretty cozy. I love studying/people watching here & the staff is always super friendly. The coffee? Fabulous. The food is a bit pricey for me, but I’m here for the atmosphere.

Pretty standard Panera. This place has a wide array of seating options from large booths to small tables. There’s lots of room to work or hang out.
