So, I thought the raving reviews were all hype. I was wrong. I’ve been wanting a really soft concha for forever now and decided to pay this place a visit. The place is small, not much to see but with fresh soft pan dulce like this who needs décor, they pretty much sell themselves. I got 6 pieces of pan dulce(4 which were conchas) AND a small coffee for 4 bucks. Sold.

Very small place. We walked in and no one was there. Within seconds people came flooding through the door. Their pastries are fresh and super tasty! This was a great find. Now I don’t have to go all the way to San Francisco to get some breakfast pastries.

Had to find a spot to get my pan dulce at since I moved from s.f. and I think I found it!!! Mostly all the breads are 50 cents each some are a little on the small side but that’s fine I’ll buy more! The breads are soft not hard like some other places I tried. I even bought one with custard in it for my husband and he ate it the next day saying it tasted like it was just made!!!

Sooooo good! A friend of mine introduced me to conchas and now I am absolutely addicted! This bakery is tucked away in a quiet part of Richmond with plenty of regulars. I came here for the conchas(which are delicious and only about 50 cents a piece), but they also have a variety of other Mexican goodies that are made fresh every day. The staff is very friendly and attentive. One of the bakers even offered to switch out the bread I just picked for ones fresh out of the oven! The only thing is to make sure you have cash on you, but other than that I’m sure you’ll make this a new regular stop!

This place is so good. Conchas, orejas, all the standards you’d expect, made fresh and in stock. Definitely will be a place I stop at more. Like another review said, once you get over the fact that you’ve found heaven in Richmond, you’ll be back. Cash only.

Someone told me they have the best panaderia in the East Bay. It is true. I left with a bag of treats and it was only $ 3.90! The panaderia didn’t all taste the same like in many other shops. I just wouldn’t eat all the stuff I did on an empty stomach again. I was left feeling a bit ill. My bad. Bring cash, as I don’t think they accept credit cards.

I had a great experience with this bakery this weekend. I had a sweet sixteen cake done for my daughter. The cake looked awesome and the chocolate raspberry cake was moist and delicious. My daughter wanted an Austin Mahone cake and was so happy when she saw it. Thank you so much for making her Birthday a success. I would highly recommend them to others.

Best place for Tres Leches in Richmond, yes Richmond!!! Once you get pass the idea that you’re in Richmond, check this place out. You’ll be amazed at how wonderful the baked goods are. Ok back to the tres leches, not too sweet, just perfect! When in season, they add fresh strawberries, soooo goooood!!! They also have the traditional pineapple filling and I’m sure they have guava, just ask. If pan dulce is what you’re craving, this would be the spot to satisfy it. The west coast version of Valencia Bakery in the Bronx.
