The 2 stars are strictly for the service. I was going to rate it 1 star, but only ONE particular time did we have friendly service. We had been there more than 6 – 8 times now and we like Shipley’s, grew up with them, and always enjoyed them, but this location had terrible service. We went because it was a convenient location, and that seemed to be the general consensus of most reviews. The staff always acted annoyed all the time with any task they had to do, not friendly at all, and cared more about talking to each other and snickering than customer service. That ONE time we had smiling service was through the drive-through, and it never happened again after that. We are done giving them chances. Westco Donuts down Harlem is much much better.

I’ve been coming here for several years now. I do not know what has happened at the drive thru window, but there are some massive issues with communication, now. Today and the previous two times I came here, they got my order wrong. Giving me too much, giving me too little, and giving me the wrong item. This is, I believe, an issue with English comprehension. Whenever I see the employees speaking to one another, they use Spanish. When they speak to me in English, it is often halting, and in short sentences – so it seems to me that they do not fully comprehend English. Considering the clientele that comes to this location, people whom I assume use English at the drive thru window, it would be helpful for management to hire those who can speak English competently. As it stands now, I’m not going back.

We came 30 minutes prior to closing this evening and although the sign clearly showed they were open and all the lights were on, the doors were locked. The man behind the counter looked at us and then turned his back. Really? How about actually keeping doors unlocked during business hours? In fact, isn’t that an ordinance? I plan to begin bringing 4 dozen donuts a couple times a week as a treat to my employees, starting tomorrow. I’ll definitely go to the new WestCo Donut shop instead.

15 minutes to get 4 cars through the drive through line. If there is more than one car in the line, go inside!!! Slowest pace EVER!

This shipleys accidentally gave us the wrong donuts. Accidents happen I fully understand but the accident could have killed my son due to his allergies. When I took the donut back, Ana, decided mid sentence it would be okay to smile and turn her back to me. First of all, there is no customer service at all whatsoever. Second fix your mistake without an attitude and when you laugh and smile and point you just make the situation worse. Third when you tell us we can call the manager then provide the store number you work for and repeatedly say you can give us the managers number and hang up on us that is rude. I am sorry you don’t seem to care that your accident could have killed my child but I will make sure it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

I come here to get kolache and donuts. I find them to be very consistent each visit and always tasty.

Workers are not pleasant. Donuts and kolaches are bland and almost a bit stale. I’m there in the mornings so it’s not due to lack of being there on time. Shipley’s HQ really needs to come save this place. I think the only reason it’s still afloat is because of the convince.

They are more focused on quantity instead of quality. The last two visits have been terrible. Server NOT friendly, kolache over cooked & donuts hard not soft & too much sugar. Will not be going back!!!

So… who sells fountain drinks and doesn’t provide free refills? $ 1.69 is a rip off when I can go down to the sonic and get 3x the amount for $ 1 during happy hour.

Not friendly at all at this place. And they may say they accept Credit Cards but be aware they will make you charge at least 8 $ before you can use it. The do-nuts there aren’t the very best very doughy and way to much coating on it.

Donut attendant was unfriendly, perhaps not enough sugar in her diet… Cinnamon roll was made with old, frozen batter. I do love their bavarian cream donut but should I go back and they’re out of this tasty, I’m out of there!

A great local Shipley’s. Plus they have a drive thru!
