We lunch here every once in awhile and I feel like the food is getting even better. Nice staff, fresh food. I ordered the turkey rueben with a side of potato salad and both were really tasty. The potato salad had fresh herbs sprinkled on top and the reuben was toasted like a panini. My friend ordered the quiche and it was equally delightful.

Great little coffee shop with good food in the Bellevue neighborhood. If you live in Northside Richmond this is a great place to go. The shop is kid friendly and wheel chair accessible.

Hmmmmm… I really wanted to like this place. It has good reviews and is in a decent location relative to where I live. I was surprised at how big it is when I initially walked in. It seems like a trendy little spot where people come to get coffee and work on their laptops. There was a small group of women knitting in the corner. I’m not a coffee drinker but it looks like they have a nice selection. The woman who took my order wasn’t very friendly– she didn’t seem thrilled to be there. I believe I got the Hermitage Panini. It was tasty and came out super hot but the bread was pretty hard. The pasta salad side was incredibly small. Lunch was enjoyable, but I feel like I made a rush decision. The menu is written on a chalkboard wall and it was awkward trying to read the whole thing with people sitting in front of it thinking that I was staring at them. I’d like to give this place another try and see if I have a more memorable experience.

The breakfast wraps are the Business! Also, all employees are super nice, the place is clean, and not to mention they have great food aside from Breakfast. I live in Lakeside and come by once or twice a week for at least a cup of coffee!

I stopped into this café because I was at an event on this street and was starving. I had no expectations and I can say that this adorable café exceeded any judgments that I had from the outside before I walked in. They have a wonderful sandwich menu that is written on a wall with chalk but looks more like an artistic mural take on a menu. They also serve breakfast everyday which is a big WIN for me! I ordered the original breakfast wrap which was egg, cheese, peppers, onions, and sausage and it was FANTASTIC! I stopped in on a busy day because a festival was going on but they had plenty of staff working and I watched them be accommodating to customers over and over even though they were quite busier than normal. They even let me know up front that orders were a little backed up which I appreciated. All in all Stir Crazy can’t do anything better in my eyes. It’s a great alternative to a fast food chain, good fresh food, adorable ambiance and décor, and great service. Did I mention they have local beer too!

Nice selection of seasonal drinks & food. Their coffee isn’t bitter and the price is reasonable. We purchased ground coffee to take home and the quality is very nice. Staff is polite and helpful. Great place to sit for a while and read or do work. There is plenty of parking as well.

Hadn’t been here in years but was reminded of why I loved it so! Delicious coffee, friendly service and great no-bake cookies on menu that day! The cream/sugar/lid/napkin/whatever else you need station is on an old stove that was craftily converted in to a table(LOVE!) Stir crazy is a true northside gem. I’m so glad my lunch break allowed me to stop in before returning to work!

This place is cute and hidden in Bellevue. It is constantly busy. The food is delicious. The coffee is good, not great to me, but to each his own. It certainly has plenty of people going in and out for it. Atmosphere is great. I love the bar area, as I can do work and not see all the activity going on behind me.

This place has quickly turned into a great work space for me. Good coffee, plenty of outlets and comfy chairs. It also lacks the pretentiousness of other like local coffee spots. And the cookies are delicious!

This is my favorite coffee shop in Richmond. Love the staff here. Super friendly. Great breakfast. Relaxing and quiet spot to do work and enough space for everyone. Still one of the best kept secrets in Richmond!!! Even on a few nights they have a band and wine etc so great!

I kept seeing this place on Groupon and fellow Unilocalers have all reviewed it. Finally I had a desire to go try a new café where I could sit and study, since I normally pick my home or library over cafes. Went onto Groupon and within an hour was at Stir Crazy ordering a meal. I decided to have the Mt. Vernon panini: Grilled chicken breast filet, bacon, swiss, pesto, served on ciabatta bread. That was a fatty piece of chicken breast. I was also able to pick a side with my panini, so I decided to try their coleslaw. Very good meal. I stayed at Stir Crazy for about two hours so I dragged out my meal, and the panini was good when it was pipin’ hot and cool. I also had a large chai tea latte, which came out in an enormous mug. I wasn’t expecting the amount of foam that I received, but it’s like they could read that I’m a foam lover. The drink was great, and I dragged it out too, just like my meal. To reach the full value of my Groupon, I also ordered a chocolate muffin. You could tell by the taste that this wasn’t a mass production, factory made type of muffin that you get in a pack at Food Lion. I took most of my muffin home and my husband, who is not a chocolate fan, really enjoyed it. The whole time I sat at one of the tables up front, by the window. Lots of people came in and out, and while the place is loud, I and a few others were about to focus in our work. I think the large size of the establishment helps. I really enjoyed sitting at a café and will probably try to come back again.

Love this place for catering – you really won’t find a nicer, more attentive staff. Their offerings have grown over the years I’ve been visiting and they’re all delicious and wonderfully made. Their friendly service with fresh coffee makes for an easier morning!

I wrote the majority of my master’s thesis in this place and am still giving it 5 stars, which ought to tell you something. Come here for respite from all your traumatic life events! Things I particularly love about Stir Crazy: –Small, local business –Convenient location for us Northsiders –Friendly baristas –Tasty and inventive food –Glorious, well-priced coffees and teas(you could just about stand a spoon up in the foam of their cappuccinos) –Their fancy water filter with rocks in it –Excellent ambiance for working or relaxing, individually or in a group –It’s next to a friggin’ WINESTORE(Once Upon a Vine)

What a great spot. Plenty of outlets & comfy couches and chairs, even a private room if you have a group and want some privacy. The large open windows provide great lighting and menu is large and easy to read. The food is fresh and a wide selection for breakfast and lunch. You can grab and go or sit and relax, outside tables are great touch on a nice day. Selection of coffee is great the sell local stir crazy beans and rostovs.

I am doing a short Update for Stir Crazy Café as I feel when a Positive change is made… it should be noted for those who come here to eat. I stopped going to Stir Crazy because of several things, and one was the issue was the Bathroom which is a BIG thing for me. If I see an unclean bathroom, I feel it may reflect on the management, and how they treat the kitchen as well… I just received a notice from the NEW manager of Stir Crazy Café, and she said the place is NOW under new management and they NOW have 2 bathrooms and they are nice and clean and well stocked… So, I will be going back to try the food, in the meantime I am upping my stars from a 3 to a 4 because the NEW management took out the time to let me know of the change. I feel this is a Positive step in making this place, or any place better for us all… I enjoy eating out, as I do so often. When I see the Kitchen is not clean and/or the bathroom especially; I feel they go hand in hand. This is a reflection on how they are treating and fixing my food. Not only do I want good fresh food coming to my table, but most of all… I want to know, that it was made in a clean environment. :-)

This is the cutest café on an unassuming street in a quiet neighborhood. I wasn’t planning to eat here when I came; I just wanted a cup of iced caffein-y goodness to keep me awake after an exhausting day at work. But, the ambiance sucked me in and my stomach told me to order something and I’m so glad I did. It’s funny how the little things can bring so much joy because when I ordered my panini I didn’t realize that it came with a side, so I got potato salad. I don’t remember the exact name of the panini, but I do know that it had turkey, cheddar cheese, bacon, and barbecue sauce. Oh-My-Goodness it was so good! It took me by surprise how good it was. I mean, it’s just a sandwich(!) but it melted in my mouth and the combination of salty from the bacon and turkey and sweet from the bbq sauce was perfect. Not to mention the bread was a great combination of crispy and soft. I can’t say much more except that this was just a good sandwich that I would absolutely get again. The potato salad was different. It’s not your typical recipe, but still good nonetheless. Next time I will probably get a different side, though to see what else Stir Crazy is workin’ with. As for the coffee? Delish. It was a great compliment to the sandwich and it woke me up, so no complaints there. I must go back and try their specialty drinks!

You know how you sometimes find that go-to food or drink that just makes you feel happy? Well the Mexican hot chocolate at Stir Crazy is that bevvie for me. Chocolatey. Cinnamon-y. Spicy. Sweet. Pure happiness. The spice can be adjusted based on your request: Like it spicier? Ask for a heavy handed dose of cayenne. Tears appear in your eyes at the thought of hotness? Ask for a smidge. Or, on second thought, why are you considering this drink in the first place? Seriously, I crave it. In the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening. In fact, I’m craving it right now…
