Su Casa has always been my favorite Mexican restaurant. The kitchen and wait staff are quite efficient. Service is unbelievably fast. The food is delicious and servings are generous. Tonight was the first time I ordered delivery. The same efficiency applies to the time the order was made until the food was delivered. The fajitas were great. Everything was piping hot when delivered to our house. Five stars for sure.

Ordered though eatstreet. Called an hour after ordering and was told that they had received a blank order. After getting in touch with eatstreet to get my money refunded I was told that had they received a blank order they(SuCasa) would not have been able to enter the confirmation code that they had received the order, which they had. I was hesitant to order after the mixed Unilocal reviews and wished I hadn’t… since now I have a hangry kid impatiently waiting for food from another place.

I enjoy eating the food here, but had an extremely upsetting experience this evening. I ordered delivery for the first time. Instead of sending two chicken enchiladas with rice and no beans I received two beef enchiladas with beans. I don’t eat red meat and did not want beans so naturally was a little upset. I called the restaurant to let them know and was placed on hold for seven minutes before being hung up on. I have tried calling six times since then and got a busy signal each time. I paid for a meal that was sent incorrectly and will go straight in the garbage. I’m very disappointed the restaurant did not try to remedy their mistake. I’m so mad they sent something I cannot eat and did not help to fix it. Do not expect to have your order resent if they send something incorrectly.

It had been years since I ate at Su Casa, but I was hungry after dropping my car to be repaired. As soon as I walked in, the wonderful smells of their food grabbed my attention. It was lunch time so they were a little busy, but we still got a table quickly. The traditional chips and salsa were brought to the table and we ordered drinks while looking through the menu. They have a great selection of lunch specials that run around $ 5.50, and include all the classics. They also seem to have $ 1 taco and burrito specials through the week. The difference between Su Casa and the many other Mexican restaurants around town seems to be the quality. Everything I’ve ordered here tastes like it’s house-made. By the way, their enchilada sauce is probably the best I’ve had anywhere.

Any review below a 5 star rating for this restaurant is absolutely absurd! I’ve been coming here for years for lunch, and let me tell you… 1.) Even if the place is crowded, the customer service is above top notch and really treats you with the type of exclusive service you would expect from a ma and pa establishment. They will get you in and out if you have a tight schedule and if you have ambition to stay longer, they don’t rush you out. 2.) The owners have carefully selected a unique set of specials and regular menu items that you aren’t going to find in other restaurants. I certainly challenge anyone to find a better bargain price, and quality in the city for Mexican food. 3.) Establishment is always, and I mean ALWAYS clean. I have been here sometimes 4 out of 5 days in the work week and not so much as a dirty table or floor has ever been encountered on my part. I give this place 5 stars. If you are a true Richmonder or even an out of towner; coming here is just a great piece of the culture and variety of what makes this city great. Not coming here… Is definitely doing yourself, your family, your friends a community a great disservice. All people are entitled to their views and opinions, but any review less than 4 stars, is insane and that’s my honest review and opinion.

This $ 1 taco advertisement drew me in. Every time I drove past, I kept telling myself I need to come to Su Casa. Well I finally did! This is the spot to go when you want some quick, simple tacos and don’t really want anything from taco bell or would like to sit and chat with a friend. The chicken hard tacos were fresh and had sufficient lettuce and cheese. I did not try but heard that the refried beans and beef tacos did not disappoint. The chips and salsa are perfect. Make sure you ask for the cheese dip! I plan to come back for those burrito nights as well.

Great lunch deals and the staff was super friendly. You can’t beat their prices anywhere, I will definitely become a regular customer at Su Casa. –Josh

Small, no problem(actually kind of cozy). Bland food, it’s a problem; I actually thought the burrito I was going to eat might have some flavor to it… never trust a dollar burrito unless you are at Taco Bell. The chicken nachos were bland again, but there was a lot of chicken. Every single plate, bowl and glass on our table was chipped; that’s a big problem(and a health code violation). Replace your damned stuff, what if a customer gets cut? I give it two stars because the price of the alcohol was very reasonable and the salsa is good. But we won’t be going back.

Love these little places. Good food, good wait staff, good prices. And nice and quiet on a Saturday night!

The food is so terrible I wouldn’t even bother; it was quite literally nauseating. In fact, if it was possible to give 0 stars, I would. We placed an order online and it took two hours to arrive(order placed ~7:15pm and arrived at 9:23pm, after the restaurant was already closed). We called the restaurant at 8:16pm. The person who answered said that they go through Eat24 for delivery and gave us the number. We called Eat24 and they called the restaurant who then told Eat24 that they use a third-party service for delivery. Eat24 was very nice and on our first conversation, the manager of the restaurant offered 20% off the bill. Eat24 said they would call us back, and they did. The manager offered us 50% off after all was said and done and promised fresh food within 10 – 15 minutes. That was at 8:45pm. Our order arrived at 9:23pm barely warm, and as you will read below, practically inedible. We ordered nachos supreme, two orders of guacamole, and enchiladas supreme. The«nachos supreme» consisted of stale corn tortilla chips, globs of flavorless grey beans, a TON of shredded lettuce, and a small glob of sour cream. The guacamole and accompanying salsa were inedible, not to mention that one of the orders of guacamole was missing. The enchiladas supreme were covered in mounds of shredded lettuce and were such a soggy mess that we couldn’t even tell what was in them. As the daughter of a professional chef with international experience, this meal was far beyond a lack of culinary expertise or any kind of knowledge of Mexican-American cuisine at all. If you want a real experience, make the trip to your local Mexico Restaurant or Rico’s Mexican Restaurant in Midlothian.

I ordered flan but they were out. They called me to replace it with something different and they were very polite. Good customer service, but the replacement item was disgusting. The food overall was not seasoned at all. Everything was so bland and they didn’t even send sour cream because maybe that would have helped it. This is the first time I can honestly say I wasted my money on food. I couldn’t eat it because it tastes so bad.

If you’re looking for great décor, this isn’t the place for you. If you want great salsa, and a delicious filling lunch, this little gem can’t be beat! Try the lunch quesadillas — one beef, one chicken. Plentiful plate for $ 5.95! Quick service, in and out in less than 30 minutes!

The taste was alright. But the portion was NOT worth the money by any means. I ordered arroz con pollo to go and my meal could not even fill up half of the box. I also ordered chips, salsa, & cheese dip, the chips filled less than half of the bag and the cheese dip was cold and one small container. Way over priced for what I received.

Horrible! I ordered simple, a side of rice, cheese sauce and chips all to go. Got back to work and to my surprise I had white rice. Bland, plain white rice. I totally expected yellow rice but NOT. The cheese sauce was cold and so thick that I could not even dip a chip in it. Oh, and it had a spoiled taste to it. I will NOT be going back.

This place is great. I came on a Wednesday and ordered their dollar burrito special. I got three huge, delicious burritos and a margarita(only 2.99), plus warm chips and salsa. The waitress Tanya was extremely nice, the place was very clean, and I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Bland, had four different tacos and all of them just blah. They are correct in regards to how to make a taco(i.e. the menu looked good), but the end result is run of the mill. Not sure if I would go back based of this one experience.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside and not crazy fancy inside, but the staff is friendly and it’s cozy. Also, food is fantastic and filling!

Great chips and amazing salsa, but not much beyond that. I was not impressed with my taquitos. My friend’s tostadas were pretty good but she didn’t like them(we traded plates halfway through the meal). Stick with this place for your default chips, salsa, and margaritas hang out, but go elsewhere for food.

Su Casa is a Family owned Restaurant and believe it or not… it is OWNED by a Greek who likes Mexican Food. I have been there on several occasions, however there is something lacking in the food and it is Flavor. First, I started out with the Salsa & Chips. The Salsa tasted like only tomatoes in it, and it lacked any seasoning and most of all… I had to ask for some Cilantro, so it would give it added flavor. In addition, I asked for the Spicy Salsa and the manager said they ONLY make the regular Salsa, and if I wanted it spicy… I could add some Hot Sauce to it. So, the Salsa really on a scale of 1−5… I would give it a ONE. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Tostadas with beans & Pico de Gallo in a hard shell… The cost was 3 for $ 10. A little high, however the manager convinced me in how good it was. I should have listened to my instincts… When the plate came out, I was thinking a small Salad, would have come with this, as it does on most Mexican plates. It was just the 3 Tacos… Fish does not take long to cook and you have to be careful, as you can OVER cook fish. Also, tuna has an excellent flavor and if cooked right… you will have an outstanding Ahi Tuna Taco. Unfortunately not here… First the Tuna was way over cooked and very dry. The beans were OK, however the Pico de Gallo they put on top was really watered down and because of this, it soaked into the Taco shell, which made it soggy… You could not pick the Tacos up as they fell apart from being so Soggy. Again, the Pico de Gallo lacked flavor as it needed some salt and Cilantro… So, since he had already bought me out some Cilantro… I just added it to the meal… I was extremely disappointed, as Greeks are known for creating flavorful food. Su Casa may have had all of this when they first opened 8 years ago, however the food lacks creativity and most of all GOOD Mexican seasoning for Flavor. For what they are charging in prices, I would rather go to a good Mexican Restaurant where I know Flavor is in the food and they have regular Salsa and Spicy Salsa with LOTS of flavor. This is too bad as I like supporting the Mom & Pop type places. It will be hard to want to stop here again anytime soon as the food lacks in taste, and NOT as authentic as «REAL» Mexican Food should be. :-(
