Luna Rossa

This is an amazing restaurant! I have been here many times and the food just keeps getting better! I actually attended a wedding here last month and it was wonderful. They did a buffet with fresh cheese, meatballs (SO GOOD), chicken parm, pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage… and much more I just can’t remember :) There was plenty of room for them to have a little dance floor in the middle and places for people to sit around. They also set up a fire pit outside on their BEAUTIFUL patio. It is so nice out there with all the cute café lights. Prices are great and the owners are so nice and welcoming. WILL BE BACK!!!

Luna is like going to eat at your ‘best friends’ house. Cozy, friendly, & welcoming. The food is delicious! The Eggplant rollitini, pasta dishes and salads are wonderful. One of the best attributes of Luna is that they will make a dish the way You want it or even make one that’s not on the menu! Nello and Anna are nothing but 1^st class and their waitstaff is just as nice. They have a nice happy hour and outside dining when the weather cooperates. I would also recommend Luna for small functions or events. They did a wonderful luncheon for a party of 40 and the food was delicious! It’s definately worth a try… You will come back! Oh, and their wine list is great also! Stop and have a drink or appetizers at the bar. it will become your home away from home!

Had lunch today at Luna Rossa for the first time. The luncheon menu is great. They offered several types of paninis, entrees and; something very special, three different types of 12″ pizzas (which are enormous). I had the eggplant, tomato and basil. Outstanding. I felt I was back in Tuscany or Naples eating a traditional pizza. Fresh ingredients that taste like they were just picked from the garden. Eggplant, melting in your mouth. A great secret in Ridgefield… lunch at Luna Rossa’s.

We had a great time for cocktails and appetizers. Food was great, we had the calamari and zucchini. Martini was excellent. Great for an afternoon noon out.

Great atmosphere, excellent food and owners really welcoming. Nello is a true wine connoisseur will match your perfect glass with your choice of meal.
Definitely going back soon …

This is one of best Italian restaurants in area and Westchester spent Christmas eve and new year’s eve going back as often as possible the food service décor all make for great time owners are also very pleasant
A must visit and you will be a regular

So far so Great. I’ve had 3 really good dinners here and the bar is cozy and inviting. The food is above average and this place is never jam packed like most of The joints in town. This is mid scale, modern Italian so resist the urge to look for chicken parmigiana. Luna Rossa is also not as high priced as the Italian joint on East Ridge. You’ll get great pasta and mains here at or around $ 24.
Worth visiting.

This restaurant has added so much to Ridgefield! It’s set back from the road, but easy to find right around the corner from Starbucks. There’s ample parking close to the door. The food is wonderful! I eat here once or twice a week, more often when I can. Introduce yourself to the owners, to the chef, and to the bartenders. You’ll find their knowledge and warmth makes this a very special place indeed.

Perhaps I will try again as I note the reviews have improved. Tried this a few months back. Found the menu to be very ordinary with little offering of fresh meats or fish. The food was passable and the service a bit apathetic.

We had never been to Luna Rossa. Nice setting. Service was outstanding! Menu is limited. Cuisine good… not exceptional. We would go back, however, not any time soon! Somewhat pricey for the quality of food — dinner for two, no drinks, with tip was $ 85.00…

great new spot for a nice dinner date. thoroughly enjoyed my pasta (fresh gnocchi) and the bronzino, cooked perfectly. Sampled the filet mignon, meatballs and calamari as well, absolutely delicious! will definitely be back soon. good service, prompt and courteous.

We were a party of 4 and chose to sit on the patio since it was a perfect summer Saturday evening. The patio is comfortable and pleasant. The restaurant placed large hedges around so you would not feel like you were near a parking lot. There were candles for bugs but we had none this evening. We decided to only eat small plates and starters that would be shared by the table. We each had wine by the glass. All the selections were very good with the eggplant and meatballs exceptional. The fried calamari and oysters were fried in a light batter which was great, however there could be some more seasoning added that would improve the taste. The aioli was good but nothing special and the same was used for both fried dishes. The mussels and sausage was good but not outstanding. We all shared a lemon cake for dessert that was outstanding. The main waiter was not very pleasant however the rest of the wait staff was superb and really helped make up for his demeanor.

I returned to this joint for another try. So much better than our first experience. The food and service were top notch. Chicken parm was solid. We sat out on the patio which was also really pleasant. I’m still so happy about the prices here as it is extremely reasonable. My first experience was pretty bad. Second was amazing. I’ll be going again to see which of the two nights was the off night.

Loved my dinner at Luna Rossa– food was excellent, above my expectations. They also have great deals on wines by the bottle, and the staff was wonderful. Our server, Ellen, made the experience. Her humor, charm, and vast knowledge of the menu was appreciated by all. Can’t wait to come back!

We went to this lovely restaurant today for a late lunch. I had met the owner/​chef, Jamie, at Ace Endico, the food distribution center where I work in Brewster, NY recently. We were greeted by a very nice lady who I asked if Jamie was there and she asked for my name to tell him. A very friendly waiter came to greet us at our table, before Jamie came out of the kitchen and greeted us very warmly. We chatted with him and the waiter about the restaurant and the menu. The waiter took our order, we had decided to split a lunch entrée since neither of us felt we were too hungry. Jamie had him bring us a complimentary Bruschetta appetizer, which was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken with sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes. Rather than just putting it on one plate for us to split, they split the entrée onto two plates, a very considerate touch. I can only say one word about this entrée, OUTSTANDING! Everything about it was superb.
We thoroughly enjoyed out experience at Luna Rosa and will absolutely go back again, even though we live in Dutchess County, NY! It is worth the drive.
We wish Jamie and his entire staff the very best at their new restaurant! We recommend it wholeheartedly!
