Wonderful food, great, really terrific waiter. With two little children and a baby, we had a super time and wonderful lunch!

We’ve been going here as our«go to» place. Tonight, I ordered a white pizza with shrimp and tomato. There was a time, when their pizza was a prize — loaded with ricotta and fresh large shrimp. Tonight — it sucked. Barely any Ricotta and worse, tiny pre frozen cheap«salad shrimp». The kind you buy at $ 6/pound. — no flavor. Cheap on the ingredients. And yet, they charged us $ 24 for large white pizza with shrimp and ½ tomato. After 12+ years, I’m done. That was supreme BS! Crappy ingredients. Overpriced. And just not worth it anymore. What a shame.

Went there Thursday the 25 February. Food was great had the steamed clams, burratta, a penne vodka. And two Margarita. The atmosphere service and food were great. I will definitely be back. Only criticism I’d give is that the place is so lovely and charming, why not spring for cloth napkins. The place deserves it is feel.

Here’s the deal. When it opened the food was made with flavor and frequented the place frequently. As the years progressed the quality fell as did the flavor of the food. The place has been reduced to just above fast food. The food from delivery to my home was horrific. It was replaced with food just as bad. The place has lost its edge since it opened.

We’ve been going to Piccolo’s regularly for the past few months and are consistently impressed with the quality of the food(wood fired pizza) and the attentiveness of the service. Recommend trying the Frank Lowe or the Buffalo Chicken pizza – or, order it half and half on a single pie. Great place to grab a quick dinner then head across the street to catch a flick at the Prospector.

We eat here often and have dinner delivered, fresh and hot other times. They have many creative and delicious pizzas, all made with fresh ingredients. Their other meals are excellent, too, including the Italian standards. Some evenings they have the added attraction of live background music. Always a pleasure.

I used to love Piccolos. We used to go all the time and then they expanded into the next storefront and downhill it went. Service is extremely inconsistent and the food quality has taken a nosedive. Pizza is skimpy with minimal toppings. The last and final time we were there the majority of the pizza was crust. Two bites and the slice was done. We brought friends one Saturday evening and the fiasco of service was explained by the fact that the waiter was new. No training for staff? Apparently not. It was so aggravating eating here that we vowed never to return and blissfully never have

Good wings but beware pickup orders. We ordered two subs that are supposed to come with chips($ 1.50 extra for fries). So one of us ordered fries. Every time we get home and open our food SOMETHING is missing. We had a few paltry soggy fries and no chips. Last time we were missing an appetizer. They don’t even include the itemized receipt. I feel cheated every time I get takeout from here. Oh and they say the chips come with the sandwiches but YOU hAVE TOASKFORTHEM, they won’t just include them.

Most important: Child friendly. Good pizza, caesar salad, and BREAD. Their bread is better than Bertucci’s. My 2 year LOVES the bread. He also will eat their salad, which is huge. He is usually picky with vegetables. I suggest anyone with kids come eat here for a civilized meal(we know it’s difficult for adults to enjoy a sit down meal sometimes).

Decent pizza and a nice place for lunch. Did a wonderful job fixing the place. Rest of menu is ordinary. Gelato next door ain’t what you’re used to walking the streets of Venice and rarely do they serve pistachio. We love going Sunday when they have the Jazz and I enjoy the pie with sausage. The round Sicilian is OK but I grew up in Brooklyn and Spumoni Gardens. Now if you can make that Sicilian wow!

I went with a group of people and we loved the place! The food was very yummy especially the baked Ziti and the pizza. For dessert we sampled different flavors of gelato and enjoyed the cannoli’s. We also enjoyed that there was live music there. It’s a rarity now a days.

Pizza used to be much better — the crust was unusually tasty. But today it was bland and the pizza was too cheesy. Also, the advertised live jazz had not begun an hour after it was supposed to start. Seems they are sliding into mediocrity, like their cousin Toozy’s on Route 7.

Wow! Amazing ambiance and food. I bought the living social deal to try out this place and am so happy I did. I came with my boyfriend on a Thursday night. The cozy atmosphere was perfect. and the live jazz was great as well. The shrimp appetizer was beyond delicious and the pizza was very tasty. The only thing that lacked was the service. There was one gentleman who was on point who made sure we were taken care of, but the other staff were not attentive at all(providing wine list, clearing plates, checking up on table) I would definitely recommend.

Great live jazz by a duo earlier tonight! It really added to the ambiance. However, the service was just AWFUL, and that’s probably putting it nicely. The restaurant was less than half full when I arrived, alone, on a Thursday evening around 6:15pm. A waitress approached me to seat me at a table, and I asked if they had a gluten free menu or if they offered gluten free pizza, and she looked at me like I had ten heads. Another waitress walked up and assured me they did have GF pizza. So, I headed to a table, but waited a LONG time to be waited on, even though wait staff were standing around. That same clueless girl came to my table to take my order and I ordered a gluten free pizza. She had no idea what I was talking about and didn’t even know how to write gluten free on her notepad. So, I asked if she wanted to send over a different waiter. He arrived a few minutes later and I told him I already gave her my order and he kind of tossed his head and said, well, she doesn’t know anything. Yikes! Pizza arrived later and it was delicious. They use the STILLRIDING premade GF pizza crusts. That is why I sought out this restaurant in the first place! I found them on Still riding’s website. I should note that no one ever brought a glass of water, and my soda was empty when the pizza arrived, but no one offered another drink. I ended up flagging down a waitress to ask for another coke and a glass of water, but it sat empty for a LONG time before I found anyone. I was surprised when I saw the bill that I was charged for two sodas, so I asked the other waitress if they in fact charge for refills and she said, yes, but I told them not to. Another Yikes! The best thing about this place is the jazz!!! I’d go there and have a glass of wine anytime and listen to that duo, but I might have to bring my own wine so my glass isn’t empty! I also heard the jazz singer say that they were one of the sponsors of a jazz event at Ridgefield Playhouse that same night, so that’s really cool. I just wish they could get their act together with service. It was really poor for a little place like this.

I don’t know if «authentic Italian ingredients» generally means a boatload of sugar dumped into pizza sauce, but that’s my impression of the pizza at Piccolo which I’ve had several times. The sauce is on its way to being the latest creative cupcake topping. The bread — I mean pizza crust — was bready enough that I forgot the word crust. Speaking of words, ‘jazzeria’? Never mind. I’ve met a friend here for sandwiches several times and they were just ok, the lighter ones were best. The drinks(soda) seemed really overpriced, but maybe that’s typical of Ridgefield. It struck me as a cute place though. I wanted to like it! Oh well.

Thought I would give Piccolo one more go because I honestly felt bad for writing such a scathing Unilocal review for a place with yummy food. Big mistake; wrong sandwich again. Never again — and this time I mean it!

The food here is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. If you have the time I would recommend you catch their jazz nights, great way to spend time with others.

Have not eaten at the restaurant since, as others have noted, it is quite small, but have gotten delivery on a handful of occasions. The pizza is quite tasty(the low fat thin crust pizza is especially good), but the prices are EXORBITANT. Just last night ordered a low fat pizza($ 8.50), and a medium pie with a selection of toppings, and was not paying attention to the incremental cost of each, because the total with tip came out to be $ 50. Certainly, it’s my fault for not scrutinizing the bill more carefully. I will order again, but with a bit more care.

This a cute little pizzaria/jazzaria that also has good salads, soups, pasta and sandwiches. We’ve ordered delivery service a number of times and the kids always devour their meals. Kid-friendly environment and sometimes they have jazz nights each week — although I always forget the day… A cute, casual and cozy environment for a quick meal with the kids or a quiet moment with your significant other. Portions are large. Oh, and if you want a drink with your meal — it’s BYOB. Take-out is usually prompt and you can place your order online.
