It can be ever so hard to turn left from Highway 120 into their lot… but worth it if you do. They grow it here, pick it here, and sell it here(and a few farmer’s markets)… unlike the places up and down the street that sell among other things bananas. I’ve had good experiences here, wishing only they picked at various ripeness levels and gave you a choice.

I drive from Oakland to Placerville once a month or so. I make it a point to drive back out of the way, just to stop by Fisher Farms to buy the wonderful fruit they grow there. I will often drive to Ripon, Ca from Oakland and back just to visit and get produce From Fisher Farms. It is worth the hour(or 2) out of the way to do it even though I live just 15 minutes from Berkeley Bowl and about 20 minutes from Monterey Market(The better produce stores in The East Bay) There are dozens of small«Farmer’s Markets close by too. I prefer driving to Fisher Farms for my FRESH fruit and veggies it they are in season. I tend to stay on a Low Carb type lifestyle. I find that if I get the good stuff, grown with care and«Organic» principles, I enjoy produce much more than the generic«Factory Farm» stuff sold at the stores. Its nice to meet the people who actually plant, nurture, harvest and sell my produce. Before you make a special trip, be sure to call them to see if they are open, and check to see what they have. Remember, Everything they sell, they grow. Sometimes they run out !!

Without a doubt the best peaches on the planet. I LOVE their peaches, in fact, I list their peaches on my top 10 things that make me happy. I look forward to visiting my relatives in Calaveras just so I can stop by Fisher Farms.

I think this is the little produce stand that is near some diagonal train tracks on Hwy 120. We make sure to try and stop by here whenever we are passing through driving to Yosemite. Unlike many of the other stands that sell a mix of fruit that is not necessarily from nearby and touristy goods, this place only sells fresh produce, nuts, and plants. The prices are fantastic for such tasty fresh fruit. I’ve always had the best luck buying seasonal stone fruit. It’s a simple family business and that’s why it’s the best stop along Hwy 120. I do wish they had samples sometimes as I’ve had to guess what to try. And with any seasonal place, there’s a little luck in visiting the right week(like for apricots).

Best farmstand between San Francisco and Yosemite, bar none! They only sell what they grow and they give a discount for buying more than pounds of fruit or vegetables, which keeps the prices reasonable. I’ve been driving there for seasonal fruit for fifteen years and keep coming back!

My dad and I run a small family farm that has been in our family for almost 100 years. We sell only what we grow, and we pick and sell our produce at the peak of ripeness. We grow cherries, stone fruit(apricots, yellow peaches, white peaches, yellow nectarines, white nectarines, plums, pluots, asian pears, apples, heirloom and«regular» tomatoes, peppers, Armenian cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, okra, and some beans. New additions this year are red, yellow, and white onions, Spanish Red garlic, fingerling potatoes, Yukon Gold and red creamer potatoes, Cranberry beans, Jicama, Lacinato Kale, Chard, radishes, and melons.
