Very very clean taqueria. Was impressed. The whole taqueria is very nice. The new owner did a nice job remodeling. Plus the food taste great.

We used to come here at least twice weekly and the food and service was always great. Now with new people, the portions are half what they used to be and they charge for everything. Extra chips, watery sour cream and with the fajitas they now give 3 tortillas when they used to give 6, for 2 people. Time to move on for good.

Taqueria is awesome. The food is great and so are the prices. The owner is also very generous and sponsors our local schools. He contributed $ 200 to sponsor my daughter’s jog a thon! We are so thankful for the taqueria!

I had the super quesadilla suiza with carne asada, really enjoyed the flavors and texture of the meat(nice and juicy). Salsa bar is excellent. The sliced lime was so fresh and tasty. They make homemade horchata here!

Had a quick bite here with 6 people in our group. Did not encounter any issues with service, course it helps that I can speak Spanish for dish/ingredient clarification and I’m not impatient. Restaurant is very nice with some of the coolest décor I’ve seen anywhere, including Mexico. Clean open kitchen, love to see how they cook and clean their work space. Restrooms are clean but need a little fixing up, no biggie.
La Comida: 1. Tacos de Lengua: Tasty and tender, just the way they should be. 2. Carnitas: As they did not have Cabeza(Big Bummer), carnitas worked and were tasty as well. 3. Frijoles: As an app with chips, their’s are damn near correct. Lard is a must for good refried beans. No Lard, no joy. 4. Chimichanga: Two people ordered this monster of a burrito and were both quite happy with themselves. 5. Coctel de Camaron: My Dad’s hopelessly addicted to Campechana(A mixed seafood cocktail/soup) and while their Coctel is NOT Campechana, it is still a solid Shrimp Cocktail. 6. Tostada de Camaron: Wanted to try it just to see, not too shabby. Tostadas are not my thing but I am glad I ordered it nonetheless. 7. Kids had Burritos: They were happy with them and the burritos certainly looked nice. SALSABAR: I really enjoy salsa bars and when I see one I pay close attention to the offerings. I especially look for cut and freshness of ingredients as these items have to be prepped ahead of time. Their citrus looked fresh and clean as well as their herbs, onions, and salsas. The one thing I always look for are the Jalapenos. While there are a couple of styles to choose from, I really liked the fire roasted penos. I have had these in several eateries but TR adds beef bullion to the bowl which makes for some damn tasty eating. Some of the best I have EVER had. Would not hesitate to go to this place. My only complaints: No Bohemia Beer, my favorite Mexican beer all time hands down… No Campechana: Expensive, but worth every peso when done correctly No Cabeza: Did not find out if they offer it period, or were just out at the time. No Pata in their Menudo: Feet really make Menudo magically delicioso!

We recently moved to this area from the Bay Area, and I didn’t think we would be able to find a good burrito place out this way, but this has now become my go to for Mexican. Before I even ordered I was in love with this place because of how clean it is and friendly the staff are. The prices aren’t that bad either. I ordered fish tacos and a super burrito. Both were excellent! Everything was fresh, the chicken on the burrito was tender, the fish tacos were full of flavor and the chips were very good too. The portions were also very large I was able to share with my kids. They also have the best limeade I’ve ever had!

Best ever. A local favorite(always listen to the locals we know what we are talking about). I practically grew up in that place. Chicken nachos are definitely the star of the menu but everything is good. I recommend the shrimp tostada too its always fresh. I will say they do get crazy when it’s busy but it’s always worth it. The staff are sweet and treat you like family. The place is well decorated and always clean. They have the BEST green salsa I have ever had and I live in salinas now. That’s saying alot. I miss this place and can’t wait untill I’m back in my hometown to eat there.

The service at this place has somehow managed to become even more dogshit. I was on the phone on «hold» for long enough to get in my car and drive to la casuala across the street. I’ll never order anything from this place again. The meat market has better food overall.

My home town taqueria which I’ve been a regular at since it opened in early 2000’s. Love the authentic taste and prices are easy on the wallet. I always get grilled chicken taco on flour tortilla with cheese. I recommend if your in the area or driving through!

I have given this place sooooooo many chances. Today was the last straw. I ordered a bean cheese and rice burrito for my kids. It was a sloppy mess that could not be held… oh and they forgot the rice. My tostada shell were stale… really stale. Hubs has gotten a cold super burrito before. I will spend my money elsewhere.

This was my go to place even when I was vegan. Their beans and rice are the most flavorful and fresh I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Everything is good here: nachos, burritos, salsa, etc. Definitely the best Mexican place in Ripon.

Came here randomly looking for another restaurant. Got asada nachos and wasn’t disappointed at all, asada was amazing and came together with the other ingredients for an amazing meal. Would stop in ripon again for this!

My food is always hit or miss here. Today everything at the salsa table was over a day old even my burrito tasted more then 30 minutes old. when I ordered till pick up and back home was a total of 10 min. Chips are not fresh. More details: The radishes were on the verge of soggy The jalapeños were bottom of the barrel Cabbage salsa was beyond dry Tortilla gooey soft like dough Rice inside of burrito tasted super soft like mush. On a previous visit: Tables were ALL dirty and the restaurant had no patrons inside and staff were all standing around. I ordered a cheese quesadilla that was a total mess with too much cheese and watery chicken. The only reason I give 2 stars is because I called in a order about 2 weeks ago at 5 min till closing and they made my order promptly and that was the one and only time I have ever had good food from them in the past 2 years.

Probably the cleanest taqueria I have been to in a while. The tables were cleaned immediately as people left and I saw someone frantically whipping down windows and salsa counter. The food was mediocre nothing I can really say was worthy of mentioning. Although if you do get something wrapped in aluminum foil be aware they wrap first cut later so watch out for aluminum shreads. Ambiance is nicely done and the service is good. Too bad the back of the house is not better.

Geeeez… Walked in to place two separate orders! Everything must be ordered at the counter then you find a place to sit and they bring out or call out! Which ever works for them at the time So I order to go and wait, they bring it to me and I DONOTCHECKIT, WRONG! ALWAYS check it! Half the order not in the bag. … It’s 8:0clock not busy think they could include all of it? Get home have a glass of wine sit down ready to eat!!! Yup I was pretty upset. food is just ok not a lot of flavor, rice was hard blazzzaa Now I remember why I don’t order to go! If you are really really needing kinda mexican flavor then maybe go? Las casuelas is far better though(across the street) my fault

Yummy breakfast burrito– however, it is not a true Mexican restaurant. I was on road trip and decided to visit a rural town. I was craving for Mexican breakfast– took a risk to eat this place after read couple of reviews in Unilocal. This restaurant locates in an awesome downtown.
