TOGO’s Sandwiches

The food is good like other Togo’s, but the service sucks!!! Twice we have placed orders to go and had to wait 10 to 15 mins once we arrived on time. Then once we got home we opened the bag to find part of the order missing. Sad…it really isn’t that hard.

I usually stop by when I’m getting gas at the AM/​PM on my way to my office in the Bay Area. This location normally has great customer service, is never busy, and the staff is friendly and attentive, so tonight, when I needed to pick up a «Favorite Tastes» sandwich platter for 10 people (which comes with 16 — half sandwiches), I figured I would throw this location the business in appreciation for all the times I’ve been treated well and it was on my way to my event in Manteca.
I just called to place my order and was treated rudely by the woman who answered the phone. I told her I needed to order 1 of the sandwich platters and before I could tell her which one, I was abruptly interrupted and told that she couldn’t do it because they needed 2 hours notice. Her dismissiveness was really upsetting. Come on, the sandwich platter would’ve entailed making 8 full sandwiches cut in half! I didn’t need them for an hour and a half. But, she cut to the chase and hung up on me before I could even tell her what I wanted to order to see if I could be accommodated.
I don’t know if I’ll be back, honestly. The negative tone to this lady’s voice really set me off. By the way, I called the Togo’s closer to my house in Modesto and not only did they happily take my order, but they also told me that they can usually get larger orders together in 30 minutes or less if they’re not busy.

I just visited this TOGO’s again after talking to a representative of the restaurant on the phone. She said she’d talk to management here. To that rep: thank you. So I ordered my favorite wrap with cold bacon and the employee said that he can’t serve me cold bacon. I told him, «Yes you can. I talked to corporate about this already. He asked his manager and she confirmed that if the customer asks for cold bacon that they’re allowed to get it that way. Now I’m happy.

My husband and I have always loved Togos sandwiches. So we were super excited when one opened up in Ripon. We go there typically 3 – 4 times a WEEK! Recently, my husband ordered his typical meatball sandwich to go and when he took a bite of it once he got home, he immediately spit it out. I could hear the meatball knock on the kitchen table it was so hard. I dont know if they were freezer burn or what, but the sandwich was inedible. I worked that evening so I decided I would bring the sandwich in, show them the meatballs and get a new sandwich. I nicely told the staff and literally knocked the meatball on the counter and she said, «thats weird we make them fresh and never freeze them, let me get someone for you.» The manager at the time came out and stated she needed my name and number to file a complaint. I told her it wasnt a big deal and that we didnt need to file a complaint, but that I would just appreciate a new sandwich. She stated, «Oh im sorry. I cant give you a free sandwich.» I thought she was joking. I explained to her it wasnt free… that I had purchased it 20 minutes ago and it was inedible. She said that the owner doesnt allow them to remake sandwiches (even if its inedible?) and that she could just take down a complaint. SO I said, «ok so I need to buy ANOTHER sandwich because the one I just bought was inedible?» She just said sorry. Needless to say I am very VERY disapointed with the service. My husband and I will no longer be making our weekly trips there.
She stated that she would let the manager know first thing this morning… did I get a call? Nope. Bad management if you ask me. Big bummer Togos.

Togos in general I feel has the most plain bread. They need to come up with some better tasting bread like maybe subway. I don’t really care for the taste of their mustard but the service had as always been good when I’ve gone in.

I’m not sure why Unilocal is not using my previous review but seeing that it is not shown, I would like to say that I have came in for the 5^th time and received the best pastrami sandwich yet. Got home and my sandwich was still nice and hot. Thanks to the girl who served me, I was in and out in no time. Im not from Ripon but I drive by 2 – 3 times a month and will be returning every chance I get, great food and great customer service.

I went it today and ordered a sandwich and it was maybe one of the worste expiernces in my life. I ordered a Cuban and and the beef was so dry. The manager i think i recall her name being Tina was stairing at me till i felt uncomfortable. If you want to go to a place and not get hassled and stared at ny someone i suggest you go somewhere else.

Went to this togos and was disappointed. The bread was obviously frozen because it was so dry, the lettuce must have been lettuce from the morning because it was browning, the tomatoes were sloppy, there was zero mustard which I specifically requested. I’m really upset with the quality of the sandwich at this location. Customer service was okay. I called and ordered my sandwich to go, it was ready when I got there at the time I wanted, but the phone call left a lot to be desired. I had to walk through everything I wanted and had to tell her what I wanted instead of her asking what kind of cheese I wanted I had to remind her that there was cheese on a ham and cheese sandwich before she quickly hung up (note: she didn’t ask for my phone number to make sure everything was correct or if there were any questions.) overall, I was unimpressed. Might have to pass on togos next time. Waste of $ 7!

So disappointed! I ordered several sandwiches, one being a #23. I will post a picture of how skimpy it was. I even asked the girl for extra meat, which she has charged me for. This is just ridiculous $ 10 for this shit!

I like togo’s period lol the sandwiches are usually always good it’s usually just the workers you have to deal with. Nothing bad or anything it’s just they weren’t friendly at all lol. And yeah I guess I did walk in with my vape pen but seriously? You’re gonna be kinda ehh just because I smoke? Nice ahahaha my wrap was good but the vibes in this Togos shop was just ehhh.

I like there sandwiches, and the young lady who help our group is a star. The other girl, who sat. and let the line grow, but she was to busy watching the basketball game, SHAME ON YOU! There were several in line and a few even left, but she sat there with her coffee cup and watch the Basketball game while her poor co-​worker was stuck with the growing line and the impatient customers… and by god, she served with a smile. So ten stars to her… 1 star to the bad employee!

This Togo’s is unbelievably excellent. Not just another chain location. They go above and beyond!

The girl behind the counter (ariel) was rude acted like she didnt want tobe there didnt speak or make eye contact and i will never go there again crappy customer service

Been a togos since I lived in the bay area. I loved that ripon was going to have one… This one is shame. The bread is stale and the avocado tastes like it’s been left out for too long. Looks like I will go to the togos on standiford for my sandwichs… or to subway

Great Sandwich! Awful service! The girl who made my sandwich was very rude and lacked customer service skills. Acted like as if she would enjoy to be anywhere else but at work. I said thank you to her after I paid for my sandwich — expecting atleast a smile in return — nothing. Try hiring workers who actually treat there customers with respect! Never going here again!

HORRIBLE!!! Gave them 3 tries. First time they were out of several ingredients, never a hey sorry about that. Just a look of oh well you should of come earlier. Second time they made the sandwich wrong, my mistake For waiting until I got home. Third try, sandwich wrong again and very stale bread!
The worst part is the unfriendly disinterested and rude employees. This is Ripon folks, we are courteous to each other. Stephanie and Arillee are doing this store a great disservice with their attitude. You will not last long in Ripon with your current employees!
I was so excited to have Togos come to Ripon, but 3 strikes and your out! I will continue to drive to Manteca or Modesto for friendly service and fresh available ingredients!

Just got back from Togos. Disappointed We asked for just pickles and salt and pepper and they did the opposite. I ordered a Chili and they did not offer Crackers or slices of bread either. I worked for Togos and I can say that this is not very good customer service. They are lucky I am not the secret shoppers that come around. They would be picked apart and spit out for the mess up on this order.

First glad to see TOGO’s Sandwiches in Ripon… however I am giving them a 2 stars for a couple of reasons. With a few changes they could be a 4 star. The store was clean and friendly looking. The help (except one) was all smiles, good first impressions. Here is the problem: I don’t eat bread, so I asked if I could get any of the sandwiches made into a salad (like Subway does, they will do any sandwich into a chopped salad.) The first girl said she didn’t know as she was new, but told me they had three salad choices, which were not my choices. The girl asked the not smiling manager (Lady with dark hair and older then the rest of the crew). if they made salads with the sandwich items. Here was her answer «Buy the sandwich you want, take it home and throw away the bread.». Great answer, why didn’t I think of that.
Now, I would think that TOGO’s would prefer to think they provide healthy options for their customers, not waste options. Now, guess where I went. yes to Main St., and ordered from my Local Subway two outstanding handmade fresh salads.
I will give TOGO’s a chance again someday. :)

Ordered online and showed up 30 mintues later as told to and sandwiches (2) still weren’t ready. Took another five minutes. Thirty minutes is too long for an internet order but at least do the order if your going to give a pick up time ½ an hour after the order is placed. Got tuna sandwich. Barely any tuna or tomatoes. Basically just a bread sandwich which is weird because Standiford location makes amazing sandwiches that actually HAVE INGREDIENTS. If I worked there I would have been embarassed to serve that to a customer. Same thing for turkey/​avocado. Just a sliver of turkey. It’s like the place is run or owned by a militant vegetarian who is attemptimg to discourage meat consumption.
I guess they saved money on my order by being really cheap on the servings where you can’t even see or taste the meat (good for their pocket book today I guess) but they’ll lose mine and other people’s business long-​term if they keep operating in this short-​sighted, cheap manner. I guess the Subway around the corner has less to worry about then they thought when the Togo’s opened up here in Ripon. What a disappointment. I was really looking forward to the opening and now all I have to look forward to with respect to them is saving money there because I won’t be eating there anymore.
