The bomb!!! My best friend took me here a week ago and I Ioved the pupusas! Very tasty and flavorful! Can’t wait to go back again. I tried the other pupusa spot on Oakland and Floyd and wasn’t satisfied. This place definitely trumps! My go to pupusa spot from now on! Oh yea I also ordered the chille relleno and same thing it was the bomb!

Gigantic delicious pupusas, slammin tamales and yummy tacos at $ 3 apiece! Service is good and they have a lot of meats to choose from, including lengua, tinga and other staples. The only downside was that they ran out of tamarindo drinks. I highly recommend the jalapeño and cheese pupusa, which was huge and best eaten hot with the yummy spicy cabbage.

I never thought I’d get to enjoy some delicious pupusas right here in Modesto/Riverbank area! The only time my family and I would get to enjoy some authentic pupusas is when we are visiting friends in Daly City/Mission District. The pupusas at Dos Pueblos are just as good as the ones we would get in the city. Bonus for us was when we tried molotes for the very first time, and they were super yummy! I highly recommend Dos Pueblos if you ever have a craving for some authentic El Salvadorean cuisines without having to drive to the city.

Whether you live in Riverbank or are just passing through, this place is a must try. Absurdly good food. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. My personal fave is the spinach pupusa piled with the cabbage mix they bring out. Not only is the food jam packed with flavor, but you could probably feed a small army for about 30 bucks. The green mole is unique and delicious. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Definitely 5 stars. From the salsa and chips to my lunch item everything i had was amazing. Everything made here is authentic. Their hibiscus(jamaica) drink is made fresh as well as their horchata and even their salsa and chips were freshly made. I ordered their molotes, a chicken tamale and their mixed popusa, my husband had the shrimp taco and the chille relleno plate which were all delicious!!. I will definitely be coming back when im in town!

This place is great! The papusas are delicious and fresh, and you must get one or two. Yes, papusas can be heavy, so maybe just order one and a taco. If you can eat a lot, you’ll be alight getting a few for a meal. They’re only 3 bucks each, so can’t hurt to have leftovers! Their tacos were fresh and flavorful, full of texture and the tortilla was made fresh. We also had the Oaxacan tamales, which are good but I have had other ones that are better. Great sevie and prices, great place to stop on the way home from Yosemite. Also, they give you a ton of curtido as a side for the papusas. They’re prices are super reasonable so give them a try!

A Mexican friend at work asked if I’d ever had a pupusa. I thought it was that sack that Indian women carry their babies in. Not so. She gave me a pupusa from Dos Pueblos. I couldn’t eat it right away so I wrapped it in a napkin and hit the road. Even though it was luke warm by the time I ate it, it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I call it a hybrid of a tamale and a quesadilla. I’m half Mexican and I’d never heard of a pupusa. Turns out they’re an El Salvadoran food. Go to Dos Purblos. If the rest of their food is anywhere near as good as the luke warm pupusa I had(which was FANTASTIC) then you won’t be disappointed.

This unassuming Oaxacan spot has some delicious house made thick tortilla chips with a dark red salsa. I got two tacos and was so full from the first one that I took the second to go! The tacos are beautiful and delicious with a fluffy corn tortilla! I see why this place has 5 stars! Yum

I came here because I was in Modesto hungry and didn’t feel like cooking. My bf recommended this place to me and told me they are known for their pupusas which I haven’t had in a while so I figured why not. I ordered the chicken and cheese pupusas and the chorizo and cheese pupusas. Both were delicious and crispy, after I ordered I found out you can ask them to make it extra crispy which is good to know for next time. All the pupusas comes with this big container of pickled slaw and hot sauce for the pupusas. After eating 2 I was stuffed and happy. I also shared the molotes which was delicious. They are crispy fried and stuffed with cheese and meat. They were so good I would come back just to order those. Service here was good, our waitress was very talkative and nice. There was no wait for a table and the restaurant itself seemed pretty empty. This place is right by the Riverbank movie theatre in case you are looking for it and you miss it.

Uhm, whoa dude. This place is ridiculously good. The burrito? probably the best I ever had – tangy salsa with a good amount of cheese and chicken that didn’t feel really dry. It was soft and delicious and full of flavor. The pupusas were pretty good, too – I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to pile the lemon-y cabbage onto it to cut the greasiness but it worked really well. The only thing that bummed me out a little was that the salsa in the to-go container wasn’t really that great, but the food was cheap and delicious.

When you see a place that is five red stars and has that many reviews, you have to check it out. Don’t judge this place by the cover, they don’t have a crazy huge menu, but what they do have on there is Dy No Mite! Grab a taco.

You can’t beat the prices! The food was authentic. We were happy with our meal. There’s no alcohol available, but if your looking for a **no frills, affordable, small, simple kinda place this is it.

Pupusas are good. molotes are good. Gross package horchata… no tamal con crema. Service was slow. No complimentary chips and salsa. Solid 3 stars for the Pupusas.

I haven’t written a Unilocal review in a while. Everyone needs to know about this awesome restaurant! Forget the stereotype of greasy, overly spicy Mexican food. At their best, Latin dishes are fresh & flavorful, like at this place :) After trying the treats at the Turlock Farmers Mkt, I was hooked: delicious pupusas, tamales(steamed in banana leaves!), empanadas, everything. Free sides include a fresh, tasty cabbage relish, and a medium salsa. The mole is fresh & aromatic, with equally tasty rice & beans. If you want Latin food with a fresh, tasty, unique twist, go there. Now! Their aguas frescas(lemonade-style fresh fruit drinks) are top-notch as well, especially mango & tamarind. Did I say fresh? :) Everything is freshly homemade! Everything :) This place can be proud to have gone out of its way to deliver Latin dishes that are delicious & very unique for the area. Also very reasonably priced. A great meal with drinks for 2 can be under $ 20. The only bad thing is that it’s really hard not to order too much for your appetite, but who cares! Take the leftovers home. You will love it :)

Dos Pueblos sells Oaxacan Foods, selling tamales: pork, chicken, cheese, jalepeno & cheese. locale: Berryessa Farmers Market, S.J.(8/22) eats: jalepeno & cheese tamale(2) –only varietal left –masa firm, i. e no lard, small amount of cheese, jalepeno chili no salsa given –good size, 2 would be filling.
