I used to go to the El Rosal restaurants in Modesto years ago. I had a craving for the chicken al la plancha salad and their bean dip. They were as good as I remembered. My experience was completely different than the reviews I read prior to coming here. My family was greeted right after sitting down. We were served with chips and salsa right away as well as the drink and appetizer order. The food came out quickly and was good. I didn’t have to ask for refills or chip refills. The check came promptly and the service was pleasant and friendly. I would come back when in the area.
«Please seat yourself.» Ok, so we did. Sat there for over 7 minutes and no one acknowledged us and it wasn’t even very busy. Then another couple came in and right away someone cleaned off a booth, seated them and took a drink order for them. We got up and left. This wasn’t our first time dealing with bad service there but it will be our last. We will never be back.
