Cool vibe! Nice staff! Everyone was very friendly, it was like you were hanging out a friends house. Very relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. We had a great cheese board to start and then really nice dinner.

Staff is great and all their recommendations were right on. You can’t beat the portions for the price

The North Fork Tasting Room was the perfect venue to host my engagement party. It’s rustic, charming, and the staff is absolutely incredible to work with. From set up to break down, the entire staff was so accommodating, and made me, my fiancé and our guests feel so welcomed. Plus, the food is SO good! I can’t say enough good things about having my party here.

Came for lunch today with my mother. We ordered the blue claw crab sandwich and the seafood chili. Both were pretty good. In my opinion the seafood chili was missing something flavor-wise. We both got the red wine flight and they were very good. I am very picky regarding my red wine and I found all 3 of the included wines to be very enjoyable. We sat outside in the back and we enjoyed ourselves. I will come back in the future.

This is a funny site — its like one of those family tourist attractions that are trying to maximize their money-making potential by offering whatever they can think of. The tasting room for lunch was all right — slightly upscale bar food plus a large list of local wines and a smaller list of local craft beers. We had salads and the homemade chips w/blue cheese. These were nice, and we enjoyed most of the wines in the flights we ordered. It seems insane to rate this 5 stars(in fact it could be a mere 3.5) but it was nevertheless perfectly fine and enjoyable.

Visited in Sept. or October… I can’t remember. I was dying for a lobster roll from The Lobster Roll Northside all summer. Not wanting to wait an hour to get a table, they suggested we go next door to the North Fork Tasting Room… as they have the same lobster rolls as The Lobster Roll restaurant… and since we were only there to eat lobster rolls we decided to give it a go. The service was really slow… they only had like 2 people working there and one of them was the bartender. Although the place was dead, we still had to wait a while to be seated and have our order taken. We all ordered our lobster rolls and 2 people that were with us ordered a flight of beer. The lobster rolls were pretty good… maybe a little too much mayo… but I like mayo so I didn’t mind. All in all I was satisfied. And they were served with these amazing homemade potato chips! Delish. Just have to get more people working there!

Oh North Fork Tasting Room… how you let me down. You disappointed, let me down and embarrassed me all in the same evening. I experienced the above mentioned emotions and it’s truly a shame considering what this place has the potential to be. It all began with the incredibly slow service. When I say slow, I can’t even begin to describe the wait that we experienced. Each request of the waitress resulted in a slow, painful delay in service that eventually turned in to a running joke. If we had to hear, «I’ll be right back» one more time I swear that one of us may have lost our minds. Ask to see a menu, «I’ll be right back.» Order your drinks, «I’ll be right back.» How about ordering a glass or a water? You guessed it…“I’ll be right back.” The sad thing is, «right back» is relative and really meant«I’ll be back… eventually.» It’s hard to justify any stars based on the experience that we had, but I’ll give them credit for a creative menu and wide assortment of local beer and wine.

Sophisticated, mellow, and very comfortable atmosphere. All wines are local and taste great. Significant amount of menu items, had a great thin crust pizza and cheese platter. Live music was one of the highlights of the night.

We had a great experience with a buffet lunch at the Lobster Roll’s North Fork Tasting Room. Our group arrived on a tight schedule and was met by the staff with our food ready to go. Everything was handmade, even the delicious potato chips. The panini we had(Veggie, Cuban) were exceptional. The grilled vegetables on the panini were perfection, where others tend to present poor vegetarian options. The fun and friendly owner stopped by to tell us a little about the history of the restaurant and his family’s arrival on the North Fork. As the meal ended, a surprise ginger snap with crème on top was served.

Wonderful food. Today’s menu was the same as The Lobster Roll. Flights were fantastic and our waitress was fabulous! Thanks for the chips! Ambience? Great! Sat outside but inside is beautiful. Can’t wait to go back.

Food is decent but the wait was out of control, especially for the off season. AND we go the wrong beer flight twice! Not worth the prices!

The tasting room is as good as ever! Even though the lobster roll is closed till April, this is a great alternative! Check the photos, you will agree.

Made an impromptu visit to the North Fork Tasting Room in the latter part of summer. The whole area is kinda«busy» for a winery. There is a knick knack shop a candy store a full restaurant and an antique store. If you like to spend money frivolously then this is the place for you. I was only interested in booze and light bar snacks so I went straight to the tasting room. The staff as a bit laid back and we were standing around for a few minutes before we were seated at the bar. There is a menu inside the actual tasting room but the food comes from the restaurant next door. We ordered some baked clams which I thought was ok. Had some seafood bisque which was excellent. We only ordered some nibbles to soak up some of the alcohol we were about to taste. They had a beer flight and wine flight which was excellent. Very good bang for your buck. The choices they offered were mostly good. Some of the stuff they have posted may not be available for tasting and they will make substitutions. Overall it was a decent experience. Not as good as the other wineries in the North Fork but definitely a place to stop by at. I think its one the first ones you come across in the area.

Love this place ! My husband and I stumbled upon this place last year and were pleasantly suprised. We’ve also been back with friends who enjoyed it as well. One of my favorite things about this place is that they have local wines as well as local beers, so if wine isn’t your thing you’re in luck. And like the wineries you can do a tasting here which is great, and you dont have to travel all the way out to a winery to experience the different wines. They do beer tasting also. I personally haven’t tried the food here but friends of mine did and they were very pleased with what they ordered.

NFTR you coulda been a contender! I know, the Lobster Roll is alright and outta sight, what happens when you have teenagers in the group that aren’t eating a lobster roll? We’re a group of 7 with the teenagers in tow and we spent a few hours shopping for school clothes. Everyone is hungry and we got burned with the food from J&Rs. Fool me once J&Rs but not fool me twice. So we head to the Tasting Room, their board outside shows some great looking sandwiches! We ordered two appitizers to start, Buffalo Chicken Wings and a corn & crab dip with homemade potato chips. The potato chips are off the chain! Homemade, thick cut and not too salty, they made the perfect dip chip. The wings? Epic failure They were from a bag, frozen and under/overcooked at the same time. Its like first microwaved them then and then cooked the wings in the oven. The final result was, the skin was all mushy and the meat tasted vile. Our waitress? Slooooooooooooow. She comes over after 15 minutes of no water on the table, ready to collect the plates. How’s everything? I tell her, everything was great but the wings were the most vile things I ever ate. She looks at me and books out. We ordered a pizza, ultra thin with zero flavor. Flatten a cereal box and throw cheese on it, now serve. Yuckk. Its starting to get better, We had two orders of the Polish Town Kielbasa ‘n’ Kraut, Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Pulled Short Rib with Fontina Cheese, Pressed Roast Turkey Cuban and a Ruben. My son and I both had the Polish Town Kielbasa. Piled high with fresh, thick cut chips, its a filling meal. I think it was cooked in beer, nice hearty flavor. Pulled Short Rib sandwich? Come to daddy. This sandwich was great, the short rib meat was cooked for a long time, it was tender and flavorful. So the meals were a few hit and missed. They do have some great local beers on tap as well as local wines. We ordered a Long Ireland Pumpkin Ale and a Blue Point Blueberry, both fall beers that I enjoy. The waitress knocked off the wings which bumps this up a star. I’ll be back, keep those wings away from me as I’ll keep tasting in the tasting room.

Recently tried the North Fork Tasting Room for Friday happy hour and was plently surprised. Started with a beer flight and then went on to pints. Love that they only offer local beers and wines. Food menu was pretty good, very heavy on the seafood side, but overall not terribly expensive and good portions. The staff was very nice, if not a little distracted, but they had a big party that night and it didn’t detract from the evening. Also overheard that they made special accommodations for other guests who wanted something from the Lobster roll(restaurant next door) which I thought was nice. Will definitely be back this summer! :)

The North Fork Tasting Room is awesome! It is a new concept that is all about us locavores. They offer Long Island wines and microbrews. Each are available by the glass, bottle or tasting flight. The selections are perfect for everyone. They have flights for the new wine lover or choices for the more discerning palates. Plus, another huge plus is that if your friend or significant other really gets pumped over beer — now the craft brew tasting can be simultaneous. Everyone is happy– yay! They also have live music, cheeses and sweets available. This place gets five stars from the Martins.
