Yummy chips and salsa, delicious! Tasty fish tacos although not a ton of flavor. I will definitely be back though because the menu is extensive.

Great authentic mexican food, I love the huevos rancheros, they are delicious! The service is usually really good. The live music on sundays is a little too loud but we sit in the back room and it’s fine. Otherwise we really love eating here!

This food is great! So far I’ve had the Cosido which is the best I’ve ever had outside of my mom’s kitchen. Hot, steamy, lots of melt in your mouth beef and perfectly cooked veggies, not over cooked. The shrimp cocktail and mixed seafood cocktail is delicious, flavorful, ice cold like it’s supposed to be and packed with fresh seafood and veggies. My kids love the enchilada plates and the Longostinos in garlic butter which are basically medium sized shrimps with the heads on sautéed in garlic butter and seasonings. The Shrimp Costa Azul plate are the right size (these are the traditional bacon wrapped shrimp stuffed with cheese) and we’ll cooked all the way through. I’ve found that if the shrimps are too large they’re usually not cooked all the way through.
The cherry in top of this restaurant are the prices, totally affordable for fresh, quality mexican seafood.
I’ve read some other reviews and noticed eveyone agrees the food is delicious except the service sucks. I don’t agree about the service but I do know service could be hit or miss at most mexican restaurants. In my opinion the worst located mexican spots have the best tasting food and the worst service mexican restaurants usually means it’s authentic, lmao! But that’s just a fun way to view things when you’re on the hunt of some AUTHENTIC DELICIOUS MEXICAN FOOD!

Bomb tacos and burritos. Highly recommend. I have been there twice and always enjoy it every time I go.

I have to tell you, I’m always a little excited not being from SoCal to visit the more ethnic side of town – and Cielito Lindo is certainly located there. Upon entry you seat yourself and are normally greeted by a very pleasant waitress. Be prepared to use your Spanish, because that’s the lead language in this place.
Water, chips and salsa arrived very quickly. The salsa was wonderful not too spicy and extremely flavorful and of course the chips freshly fried perfection. Everything was headed in the right direction up until I ordered my fajitas. I went with the beef fajitas which came out in a timely fashion – sizzling and steaming. The flavor was just mediocre and sadly I wasn’t too impressed. I have had the enchiladas in this place which were tasty, zingy and lightly sweet and that’s what I should’ve gone with again.
Mr. Casanova would tell you, «this is why you should always listen to me amigo.» And I can tell you this, I will never defy him again.

Been getting lunch here at least once a week since September of 2015. The food is delicious! Hand made corn tortillas? yes, please!!! The staff is always friendly. The only con is that the place is a bit dirty and out dated… but the food is what matters right? Plus I always order to go since I take it back to work and eat.
I’ve had pretty much everything here but the seafood. My favorite is the grilled fish tacos, beans and rice. Great now Im hungry.

It was Sunday morning so I order the Menudo. Fresh and tasty. Add those awesome tortillas and your day is complete.
Service was good and friendly.
I need to get back in here and explore other dishes.

Nasty Hair In My Food.
Plus i ordered a cheeseburger with fries for my son, when my food and my husbands came out, i asked the server how long for the cheeseburger and fries and she says“omg im sorry i forgot ill put it right in!” After it took like 20 mins to be ready.

Terrible service. The food is good, but the wait is way too long despite half an empty restaurant.

Horrible service, and the place was not even busy. Not once did waitress come back and asked if we where doing ok.

Great food, waitress got a little testy when asked to change the order to our preference. Needs to remember great customer service brings repeat customers.

The food is very good authentic Mexican food. It’s very hot inside during the day, not sure if the AC was broken the time we dined in but we usually get our orders to go. Really good prices for their food and will not disappoint !

Food is delicious, but not better then Rubens tacos. Now you ask why the 1 star? The service sucks It’s happened to me twice I’ve got the same waitress helping me. She never comes back to ask if everything is ok or to even check if we need refills, one time I had ate something really spicy & I asked for water & she never came back with it. & to top it off the place wasn’t busy. I was really disappointed. Food is good they just need too get better at there service.

My favoite in town. Too loud music at times on weekends. Juevos rancheros the best. Chile rellano bomb. Beans bomb. Tortilla corn bomb! Yee ha food is great. Dont miss out.

The food is delicious! We ordered menudo and birria and they were both extremely good and very authentic. They give you a huge portion with chips and salsa and homemade flour/​corn tortillas. We also ordered a michelada and strawberry margarita and they both were delicious. We will definitely be back again!

Hands down the best Mexican food in Riverside. The flavor is authentic, fresh and homemade. Their salsa are delicious but make sure to ask for the trio of salsas!
I’m taking one star away because occasionally the service is lacking and when they play music it’s just way too loud and you can’t enjoy the company you’re with .
Food though… 5 stars. Everything I’ve ever ordered at Cielto Lindo has been on point.

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant since we moved to Riverside 10 years ago. The food is fantastic. My husband’s favorite dish is the Chilaquiles a la Michoacana and I love the Enchiladas Mexicanas with chicken… delicious. They have the best caldos; excellent to cure a hangover!
In the past, the owners accommodated a catering order of the Fajitas Mixtas (mixed chicken, beef and shrimp) for a birthday party and on another occasion, they accommodated a big order of Menudo «to go» for the day after a huge party.
The handmade corn tortillas are super delicious. We’ve never tried the flour tortillas.
The service has always been great. We’re usually taken care of by the same waitress! We have gotten to know the owners, who are very friendly and down to earth people. They always greet us with a warm welcome. Cielito Lindo is definitely our favorite family owned restaurant with the most delicious Michoacan-​style food!!!

LEGIT Mexican food & CHEAP drinks! What more could anyone ask for?!
My favorite item is their tostadas which are slathered with beans topped with your choice of meat, lettuce, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. Soo good. Their meat is delicious and cooked well. I loved their carnitas. The boyfriend enjoys their sopes and said that their shrimp cocktail is pretty good. If you don’t want to get an entrée, you can get a mix of individual items for a very cheap price. The sopes and tostadas are only $ 3.50 each! Enchiladas are even cheaper.
And drinks are really cheap — it’s like happy hour every hour here! I believe the margaritas are only $ 4.75. They don’t skimp on the tequila either and they come in really cute colorful glasses. What more could a girl ask for?! They also serve micheladas for around six dollars.
If I lived around here, I would definitely be a regular. I always appreciate a place with good margaritas! You might want to come with someone who speaks Spanish though because most of the waitresses don’t speak English well.
