Relative to the other meal options on campus, Latitude is probably your cheapest option. I came here pretty often just because it was enough to satisfy a craving for standard American fare, food’s nothing special. They also have billiards and televisions playing whatever game is going on, which is nice. Workers are great and cordial as well. However, I consistently ran into the same issues every time I came here. For some reason, the simpler the food was to make, the longer it took. An order of strips took 10 min. on average and once(scratch that, twice) I waited 15 min. for a grilled cheese sandwich… The buffalo chicken wrap took no longer than 5 min., but they always overloaded it with buffalo sauce and ranch no matter how many times I’ve asked them not to :/ P. S. My guilty pleasure here was the vegetarian chicken sandwich. It had this odd, crispy, soy-based, hollow, flavorless patty that I inexplicably(really) liked. Give it a try if that sounds appetizing.

It’s a nice burger and fries place on campus, gives you more option if you need to grab a bite on campus. Not the best of food for the price you pay though. Food: They have burgers, chicken sandwich, fries, chicken strips, chilli cheese fries, and other fast food burger fixings. I’ve tried the burgers, chicken strips and chilli cheese fries at one time or another. Burgers are okay, not the best but they are decent sized but most of the size is from the veggies. The patty is thin and isn’t cooked to order, it’s like they cook it in the morning then keep it in a hot box so the cheese they add doesn’t exactly melt. Chicken strips are standard, pretty good too(I remember going at around 4pm or after and they give you more than 3 strips), only complaint is they give you one sauce pack and you’d have to pay for more. Chilli cheese fries are good but not the best, the small size one is a pretty big portion. Service: Students serving students, you will run into the occasional moody person but everyone is usually friendly. Food comes out quickly but make sure to check your order before you leave, they might forget something. Location: Second floor of the HUB, next to the BoA ATM and Subway. It’s a nice spot to chill during the day since music is always playing, plenty of TVs and a few pool tables and game stations. Don’t expect to come here and study like I see some people do. Theres a good amount of tables but can get crowed during lunch, might end up sharing a table with someone. My only complaint here is the prices are expensive for average food.

Food here isnt that great. Had the burgers, fries, chicken tenders and funnel fries. Taste like dining hall food. On top of that it has the campus inflated prices for the small portions. I only eat here when Im in a rush or watching a game and is too lazy to move.

The food is pricey because it’s on campus. They’re always going to make a profit because students will always be hungry. Food: I think their burgers are alright. They aren’t amazing but they aren’t bad. The patties are pretty thin but they give you plenty of lettuce and tomato to make it look full. I would advise you to not order their chicken tenders. I thought they were good my freshman year but recently they’ve been tasting tough and dry. Their fries are good. But I’m a big fan of fries so of course I’m going to like them. They also make okay onion rings, so if you’re craving them, they’ll do. And their onion rings are pretty big. Sometimes there is more fried flour than there is onion though. Customer Service: I’ve never had an issue with the wait staff. I understand that they’re students working for their fellow classmates but the service I’ve received has always been Helpful and friendly. Tips: Latitude does get packed during lunch time and around dinner time. There is a lot going on inside, so if you’re looking for a quiet spot this isn’t the place for you! There are also gaming tournaments, pool, karaōke, and other events on certain days.

All of the food in UCR are pretty much over priced. This is the only place that I feel like has food worth its cost. The best thing here is the chicken nuggets. I like it better than mcdonalds mcnuggets… soo good. I’ve had the crispy chicken sandwich and the crispy soy sandwich too. Those are delicious as well. My friend bought the grilled cheese sandwich and says that didnt taste good, so I’d stay clear of it. But overall I like this place. I mostly come here for the chicken nuggets !

The staff it’s whatever. Music is to loud and the manager always looks pissed off. Food is expensive and always goes up in price every quarter for mediocre quality food

The food is not great. It’s ok but L55 is a nice place to chill. There are pool tables. Games. Tv and other activities like tournaments for poker or video games. I’d usually go there to relax and avoid eating there. They could offer a better quality burger for the price they charge

I don’t typically buy food on campus, but finals week was around the corner and I had to stay on campus to study. The food was expensive, at $ 7.58 for the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. The lettuce and tomatoes tasted like they have been sitting for a while, and the chicken patty was nasty. The fries tasted like store-bought frozen fries. I guess this experience served as another reminder why not to dine on campus…

I had the chilly cheese fries and crispy chicken sandwich. The chicken was still crispy an hour and a half after I bought it, that’s a good thing right? The chilly cheese fries are very filling. I couldn’t finish half of it. Pretty pricy but it has a nice atmosphere to eat in with friends.

A great place to stop by between classes, L55 has good food and a great set up. You’d think I would get tired of the chili cheese fries, but I order them almost every time I come here. What’s more, the couches on the elevated floor are in my mind the comfiest ones on campus. They also have board games(Scrabble!) and video game consoles that you can rent for free, plus a darts board. I don’t partake, but poker games also run in the evenings. Also, I think the space is big enough that if they were to serve alcohol, UCR might actually have a pub/area to throw dances and such, which would be great since the Barn doesn’t serve alcohol anymore.

A bunch of generic food and way way overpriced. The only people who eat here is freshman with dining dollars. Anyone paying with their own money is mad. Nothing, and I mean nothing here is good. In fact, the two times I did eat here, I got sick after. I just love how they charge so much extra for ranch or any sides when it really only cost them a few cents.

This is my usual go-to place to eat on campus. It’s conveniently located in the center of campus. I like the fact that the Bank of America atm is right outside. Sadly, the prices increased dramatically from when it first opened. It went from $ 2 chicken strips(3pcs) and«chips» to $ 4. STRIPS n CHIPS — These are tasty. At times, they can be a bit dry. This place is stingy w/their sauces. They have a very strict policy. Their fries aren’t as good as they used to be. In fact, they were my favorite until they decided to change them this year. :( ONIONRINGS — my absolute favorite here! The batter is amazing. If you are ever craving fried, greasy foods, this is what you would want to order! I’m definitely gonna miss these! CHILICHEESEFRIES — This really surprised me. I found it to be quite good. The portion size was enough to fill me up, but keep in mind, I’m a small eater. It comes in a small to-go box. The chili can sometimes be on the salty side. I find that using ketchup neutralizes it. The good thing is that they are NOT stingy w/the chili. The service varies here as it is run by college students. Most of the time the workers look tired, lazy, and/or unwilling to work. Just order, expect to be waiting a while, get your food, and leave. ATMOSPHERE — It’s a pretty cool hang out spot for students. There’s always music playing. They have pool tables, game systems, etc. Sometimes they will throw various tournaments such as poker, smash bros, and street fighter. It’s pretty much a game/fun center, so don’t expect to get work done here! :P

Lat55 is right in front of the HUB at UCR. It’s a fast food joint with the normal hamburgers, chicken tenders/nuggets, etc. Nothing really special here with the food. It could be better. The chicken nuggets taste doughy to me. Eck. I do like their crispy chicken sandwich. The prices did increase, but because of the budget cuts, it was inevitable… meh. For us students, this place is also a hangout spot too. There are some pool tables, some game consoles, dart boards, etc. There are TV set up around the place and they are always showing some sports game on there. And there are a bunch of couches for you to lounge around in.

The food here is pretty good and cheap but the price has increased since they originally opened. Nowadays, their offering new menu items like chicken nuggets to their new buffalo wings. The wait can be long during peak hours(just when students get out of class) but what is also frustrating is when there is no line and the wait takes 15 minutes. I’ve had various occasions when this was the case. But, overall, the food is decent enough if you’re fancying a burger or fried food.

So overpriced it’s not even funny, or tasty. $ 8.00 gets you a cheeseburger combo, that does not taste great whatsoever, with really low-quality French Fries. Why would anyone come here when one could go to Carl’s Jr. or In-n-out? Oh, because it’s smack dead in the middle of campus and we have no choice unless we want to leave campus and walk fifteen minutes, impossible unless you have a big gap in between classes. I honestly would organize a boycott against this location. Oh, but besides the food, this place is one of the coolest hangout spots on campus. Pool tables, poker nights, arcade machines, lounge, couches, tables, and a very hip and urban interior décor.

Decent, I guess… Not anywhere near the best of anything. They are too stingy with any sauce on burgers and the patties itself tastes pretty plain. Their sauce is pretty much crap, but I remember last year, it was better without a doubt. STINGY with the sauce OMG, get the 3 chicken strips and chips(fries) for almost 5 dollars and they give you ONE sauce, one tiny sauce. If you want another one, dish out 30 cents. I mean really? W/e, schools broke but they have enough money for a building, a UCR sign at the HUB(really?) and a lot of random useless things as well as the new rec center. Why don’t you pop 100 $ so we can get some decent food or at least enough sauce that can cover more than 1 chicken.

What the hell!!! WHYDIDTHECHILIRECIPEFORTHECHILICHEESEFRIESCHANGE? I don’t care about the price hike: $ 2.39 to $ 2.89. Well, kinda but the point is is that the new recipe sucks, and because of that a lot of dedicated chili cheese fries lovers will soon forget about coming here. Sorry I am just so frustrated because when this place opened for the year, I was expecting my beloved chili cheese fries… When I finally got it after 3 months of deprivation… Gross! I even sent an email to UCR Dining Services asking them to change. Well, there goes my rant. Other than that… it looks like they hiked up the price again… Remember when chicken strips and chips were only $ 2? Now it’s like almost $ 5. Seems like every year they raise the price, and now its also lower quality food. Whatever.

I used to come here A LOT, especially when they had their chicken strips & fries deal for like ~$ 1 – 2. But they just had to jack up the prices to like ~$ 4 now? Whatevers UCR. Anyways, being a tour guide for UCR, I have a lot to say about these on campus hot spots like this place. Lat55 is more than just a restaurant for students/faculty to grab a bite, but it’s more of a hang out spot. The interior designing is like a teenage masterpiece with fancy graffiti writing on the walls and an interesting colored theme that adds life to this place. On the back/upper floor, this place is equipped with a miniature arcade with some pool tables for students to get their minds off a studying and simply relax. Whether or not you’re into games, there’s also comfortable couches where you can just sit, chill, and just catch up with friends. As for the food, it’s decent– it’s not too bad, but for the price, I’d rather go to somewhere cheaper. If it wasn’t for the convenience of this place being like the center of the campus, I think Lat55 would’ve closed down a long time ago. On the other hand, I really LOVE the crispy chicken sandwich– cause it does live up to it’s name, along with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and some mayonnaise spread. Oh, and the FRIES here are amazing because they’re SEASONED fries! Thus, this place is pretty cool– but the pricing just ruins everything. High lights: — Yummy fries & crispy chicken sandwich. — Stress free environment. — Tons of tables– great for big gatherings. — Good hang out spot. Low lights: — Pricing.

Every time a friend suggests we eat here, I question their sanity. The food is either oversalted or underspiced or overfried or underwhelming or… you get the pattern. Generic American food made with uninspired ingredients, student wait staff who’d rather not be there, and an interior design motif that only the Joker himself would love, what with all the green and terrible attempts at graffiti(or whatever«art» the school put up in an effort to be «edgy» and«hip»). In one word: terrible. I’ve had better food off of sketchy taco trucks in East Los Angeles. A restaurant is DEFINITELY bad when I find myself preferring roach coach fare over whatever it serves. With the UC tuition hikes they way they are, you’d think they’d at least be able to serve half decent food. Guess not; their half-assed efforts have earned them my half-assed rating. One star for a complete lack of effort, a complete lack of taste, and a complete lack of compelling reasons to eat here. Here goes that one word again to accompany the one star: terrible.
