I recommend you walk the 10 – 15 minutes to the off campus subway if you want a proper subway sandwich. I always get the same thing but at this location the sweet onion sauce is strangely more acidic than anything else. And they don’t seem to understand that they need to use the knife to pack the ingredients in nicely. In the process of wrapping my sandwich half of the avocado I paid $ 1.50 came out and the worker just tossed it instead of putting it back.

This might sound strange, but I have to eat my sandwich with a fork. I normally eat my sandwiches like any other normal person would, but when it comes to the Subway sandwiches made at this particular Subway, I can never eat it properly. Everything falls out of the buns and I’m only left with the ham and cheese still in tact. I feel like I’m eating two separate things — a salad and a ham and cheese sandwich. Usually I hold my sandwich it it’s original wrapper because I don’t want to hold it with my bare hands, but the way they wrap the sandwich is out of control. The sandwich isn’t cut in half all the way — half my veggies are cut in half and my top bun is cut while the bottom is unscathed. So, not only do I use a fork, but a knife as well. When did sandwich eating become a delicacy? Even though the sandwich presentation and method of eating a sandwich isn’t what I would prefer, the sandwiches are a healthier option compared to most other food options on campus. The prices are also cheap for your typical college student and the meal is more filling for your buck. I’d recommend buying sandwiches freshly made than spending almost the equivalent for a pre-made sandwich at Scotty’s Convenience Store.

I’ve been eating at this Subway since it opened, and I was pretty impressed at first. But I must say I’ve experienced too many off days here that I must write an updated review. Reasons for this change — the quality of the food preparation and customer service is inconsistent. Along with other Unilocalers’ ratings, this place probably doesn’t deserve more than three stars — at least not until they figure out a better system to speed up the process to reduce the long lines without having to sacrifice the service and food quality. I’m at ease when I see familiar faces making my sandwich, but that’s not the case anymore. There’s plenty of new workers — therefore, the inconsistency with the way sandwiches are prepared. It should be consistent if everyone was trained the same way, right? Some days, I get a poorly stuffed and cut sandwich that it just falls apart. Some days, I get too much sauce and the sandwich gets soggy. Some days, I only get a stripe of sauce. and I don’t dare to ask for more because the workers seem very unenthusiastic to be there.

UCR subway… hmm always a longggggg line, so if you are ready to wait for about 10 – 15 mins or longer each time, good luck, well assuming the time you are going is about lunch or after lunch, well to me it always seems busy, i dont think they accept coupons or anything from outside, and you get a flat price that shows on the menu as a student, so thats cool… healthy and just like a regular subway… just HATE the long long long line, even though there are two diff stations that they prep the foods

The workers here never smile. However the assistance manager is way to «smart». When he was in the store during lunch time, he closed one side.(Two sides were open before he came) It took me 15 minutes to get a sandwich. There were like 30 people in the line… 2. The«smart» assistance manager made the worst sandwich in the world. Put everything in the sandwich and then closed the bread put it directly to the sandwich bag. He did not even use the knife to push the vegetables in the sandwich. When I opened the bag everything just«fly«outside…

This Subway is a poor excuse for a fast food place. I don’t care that my fellow classmates are working, they need to pick up the pace. The workers are not efficient and that is not acceptable. It causes long lines and frustration among hungry customers. Yes, the employees are very friendly, but that doesn’t make the situation any better. I also don’t like the fact that I have to yell and repeat myself several times just so that they can put spinach in my sandwich, and not the lettuce that I was asking for. Last time I came in for their breakfast special there was only one person in front of me and the workers were still slow. The point of a fast food restaurant is for fast service! Don’t take your sweet leisurely time trying to make the sandwich pretty. The receipts they give you at this location are the ones from the HUB, so you don’t get any offer to take a survey for a free cookie, so that sucks. I love their cookies!

If you guys are looking for a presentable sandwich do NOT come here. The ‘Sandwich artist’ BLOW. they are slow and can’t listen to simple things. I told this guy I wanted a stripe of ranch, he zig zags the whole thing. Plus the waiting time sucks.

The sandwich artists seriously need to be fired and replaced. No one should have to wait for 25 minutes in a line, even at peak hours. I’ve never seen someone put salami and cheese on a sandwich so slowly…

Don’t mind this subway because it’s conveniently located right on my campus! Too bad the line is ridiculously long! The kids making the sandwiches aren’t eager to be working there, that’s for sure, and a lot of the guys sweat profusely. Lot of employee’s, line goes sort of slow, and they are eager to accomodate your requests. Just your basic subway but this one is run by students and is on the UCR campus.

Dude i went to this subway i was like damnnnnnnnn look at this long line. When i finally reached the front two of the best employees in the school’s subway, Tiffany and Nau, made me a nice foot long. They were very helpful with my decisions and were very friendly. If you go to this subway ask for Tiffany and Nau because they are the best employees on campus.

I was quite excited when I discovered Subway was going to open on campus. My friends tried it first, and they were satisfied. I don’t typically patronize Subway restaurants, but my friends said the prices at this location were similar to other Subways off-campus. This is a huge plus, especially when other on-campus food vendors jack up prices. The line was long near the lunch hour. I thought the line would be moving a little quicker, given that they had two separate lines and 15 – 20 employees. The employees were still slow and inexperienced, despite being in training for weeks prior to grand opening. The bread on my Roast Beef Sandwich wasn’t too fresh. The roast beef was okay — a little dry. Overall, still one of the better choices on campus for food, but sandwich shops off campus are much better! Hint: They don’t accept corporate coupons from the mail…
