So far my favorite mexican place in Riverside. My husband and I came here on Valentine’s day. This place doesn’t have an open spot to sit even. I am thoroughly impressed with the service and food on such a busy night. Tacos were excellent! Angel was an awesome waiter. Even with the crowd for Vday, he took his time with us and had a smile the entire time.

This place was recommended to me by someone who lives in the area. It more than lived up to the recommendation. Chile relleno is my test dish, and their’s is absolutely delicious! Sopes were soft, with generous dollops of sour cream and guacamole. I will definitely go back when I am in the area.

Los empleados fueron muy amables.

Las porciones grandes.
Probé las enchiladas michoacanas, molcajete mixto que tenía frijol con chorizo, pollo, bisté, nopales, queso, camarones envueltos en tocino, cebollitas, frijoles y arroz al lado más aparte tortillas echas a mano.
Regresaré.

I’ve passed by this place hundreds of times and due to the aesthetics of the building i didn’t want to give it a try. I went to this place to have breakfast one morning and didn’t see anyone else eating there so I left without going in.
Last night we went to eat here and I’m a little upset with myself for not giving this place a chance in the past. I ordered the mocajete mixto and it was awesome! The shrimp and everything in this amazing mocajete was worth every penny. My family also enjoyed their meals. The waitress was really nice and attentive so she got a really good tip.

I came here with my parents because they had a gift certificate. The waiter was great and the food was amazing. However, after presenting our gift certificate we were told we could no longer use it because the owner has since changed. This was a gift certificate NOT a coupon. They offered us half the amount. When you buy a 25 $ gift card from Starbucks or wherever else-​a year even ten years later, you expect it to be worth 25 $. My parents would have come here at least once every two weeks so not only did they lose all potential business from us in the future over 15 $, (or however much my parents gift certificate was worth), they now have feedback that shows the new owners do not value their customers. Very upset as I did enjoy my dining experience but I won’t be supporting a place that can’t be loyal to customers.

came out with the family to try this restaurant that I found on Unilocal great food real authentic taste! I had the enchiladas estilo Michoacána con a side of cecina and Güilota and I washed it down with a michelada that was bomb! My girl had un chile relleno con un taco dorado SHE had a Margarita that was not that GREAT but she enjoy her food !!

Went out with the family. Rice was old and hard. Carne asada was old and tasted like they reheated on the pan with oil. Menudo was just OK. Service was not the best either. This 2ND time here, will not return.

I was there for dinner on Saturday night. It was not that busy, got seated right away. I ordered a molcajete it was delish, mom had the enchiladas also really good. Now let’s get down to business. The service was NO good our waitress had the worse attitude. She brought our one plate at a time but did not bring the flat ware ore the napkins or the tortillas. My sister goes here often and state the service is really good. Not this time sorry.

Small restaurant, but mighty in taste. This is a sit down restaurant, but very casual. Good service. Warm tortilla chips with very good salsa.
The beans are fantastic, they also brig a selection of salsa to your table to drizzle on your chips or to put on your food. Appears to be an avocado salsa, a green tomatillo salsa, and a red chile del arbol type of salsa. This is different than the chunky salsa that comes with the chips.
Highly recommend.

Looks can be deceiving my husband and I have passed by this restaurant a million times we never thought to stop because on the outside it looks pretty shady. It’s a diamond in the rough the parking is in the back of the restaurant so it always looks like it’s empty but it’s probably not. The food is delicious it is true Mexican food not like Alberto’s or any of the other crap it’s real traditional Mexican food. My husband had morisqueta and I had the enchiladas michoacanas I have never been to a Mexican restaurant where they have morisqueta we where surprised. The food is clean big plates and delicious! We finally found our little hole in the wall for Mexican food! Oh they also have karaōke if your interested and happy hour during the week.

Want AUTHENTIC Mexican food ie homemade tortillas? This is the place! Small quaint clean good customer service packed with flavor tacos! Not Salty like most. Salsa is HOT but worth it! Molcajete is delicious Almost as good as when in Cabo. Try it! !! Its definitely worthy for your tastebuds «) Delicious quality and quantity not pricey! !

This is a great little place to enjoy an authentic tex-​mex dinner. More mex than tex. the food is delicious and the service is excellent. The chips and salsa are made in-​house and they’re the best, crunchy chips and not oily. The salsa is tasty too. I ordered a chili relleno and cheese enchilada. They turned out perfect. Of course none of this compares with my wife’s Mexican cooking (or any other cooking for that matter) but it’s a close second.

We were hungry on July 4th for fried tacos. Lo and behold Unilocal came through! We hopped in the car and took a chance. When we walked in we were charmed by the salsa bar, small/​intimate dining area, alcohol available and expansive menu. I tried the tampiqueno plate which is a cheese enchilada made with MOLE… YUM. And carne asada that was grilled slightly crisp-​my fav. Beans and rice were also tasty. She had a variety of tacos & shared my rice and beans.

This little hidden gem in the city of Riverside is well worth the u turn had to make because it is looks like a house not a restaurant… This establishment looks really cozy inside. Typical little family owned Mexican resistant with very hospitable staff.
We ordered shrimp empanadas and a michelada to start off with, it was delicious. Nice spicy beer drink with a sweet n salty dish… So delicious. The flavors were really good. I also order the shrimp cocktail, it’s the traditional Mexican made with no ketchup (I added it), must say it was awesome. Shrimp was large and juices had the right amount of lemon… Yummm!
Enjoy don’t forget to take home some bean burritos for later or the kids because the beans were on POINT! (snatched some off my friends plate) lol
I only gave this establishment a 4 stars because it is very small inside and the tables are very close together seating is probably 30 people max…
