Taste pretty good but, it wasn’t worth waiting 30 minutes for. I only ordered a taco plate and it wasn’t even busy.

Came here thinking it was like the Rico tacos from the one in San Bernardino and unfortunately it wasnt. They were pretty basic. I got the lengua and carne asada tacos and a tostada. My husband got some taquitos and nachos. All were pretty basic but satisfied the hunger. The workers were nice and polite and ps their horchata was delicious.

So. I went on taco Tuesday and I was very much looking forward to this place. I was so disappointed. I don’t even really remember the food I was too distracted by how cold it was. The tables were noticeably dirty. I get it, it’s a restaurant it’s not gonna be clean 100% of the time. It wasn’t just one table, it was a few. The place was empty so I found it to be odd. Anyways, I wasn’t wowed. don’t see myself going back.

Had an asada tostada, it was alright nothing spectacular. After reading the raves about the asada I was ready to try. It’s the weekend so expected fresh great taste, but it was just meh. bummer Also tried the enfrijoladas and they were ok. I think I liked them better than the tostada because the asada really wasn’t worth it.

Good customer service. Very friendly guy. The drinks were good and the food was good too. I have tasted very different types of Mexican food and I have to agree this restaurants is one of the best kind. It’s hidden in the back but it’s worth to find. Recommend coming to eat here and the prices are good.

Really good authentic food at fair prices! I love going on my lunch break, or even after work. The chile relleno are delicious I don’t like my chile spicy so theirs is perfect. The sope plate comes with three small sopes l, they’re packed generously so the three really fill me up. I like getting them with different kinds of meat they are my favorite!

I have to be honest: choosing between a four and five stars for Rico’s is difficult. But when you consider what Rico’s gives you relative to the crap just east of it(i.e. Los Jilberto’s and Santana’s), I am happy to err on the side of a five. Rico’s is what you would expect were you to eat Mexican food at a friend’s house(or even your mom’s house), if your friend’s mom was an outstanding cook. The beans are made properly with lard, the tortillas made from scratch, everything is flavorful and thoughtful. Rico’s has even expanded its menu so that it could be on par with its weak competitors on University. In fact, I would challenge anyone to get any dish from those two places and try the same dish at Rico’s. I can guarantee that Rico’s is better, fresher, more flavorful, not from a can, not loaded with salt, not served to you by people with attitude and who try to overcharge you… uh, you get my point. If you are going down University for Mexican food, go to Rico’s. Yeah, it is not open as late as Los Jilberto’s or Santana’s but face it: those two places suck. Get going early and eat at Rico’s.

We had never noticed this place and decided to give it a try. We loved everything we ordered. We had Asada and chicken tacos and an Asada burrito. The Asada meat is not particularly spicy but is good quality and has a peppery flavor. The chicken is really good. The rice is tasty and the beans, though quite soupy, were yummy. And the veggies were flavorful and a nice touch. The atmosphere is so-so, so I would recommend carefully protecting the beans and finding a nice outside place to eat.

I’ve been a customer here for a couple years now and let me tell you, i love their burritos. The Adobado burrito is second to none. However, you lost me as a customer during my last visit where i cracked a tooth by biting into a Small Rock that was inside of my burrito. I can’t even begin to imagine how a rock can make it into my burrito, let alone all the other stuff that might have passed by the cook. Great people, good food, but I hope you guys are more careful in the future.

It’s Tuesday so I was looking for a restaurant with taco specials. They have .99 cent tacos(except Asada). I ordered two al pastor and 1 carnitas. The Al Pastor didn’t look how Al pastor meat is supposed to look like. It was just greasy pork meat. I wasn’t very happy. I also don’t like the fact that they charge .50 for using a credit/debit card. There salsas aren’t good either. I won’t be going back, I’m very disappointed.

Wow! I can’t believe this place has four stars. It’s probably one of the most unsatisfying restaurants I’ve been to in the area. Aw man, where to start? We ordered nachos… The entire meal was boring and bland. The only flavor came from the incredibly salty chips. The meat had NO flavor, ONE chip had cheese, even the salsa was bland. There was NO spice at all. At least the horchata was good. One star for good horchata.

Mexican food is by far my favorite type of food and ricos is very good. My one complaint is that every once in awhile on the carne asada tacos or sopes you will get a fatty piece of meat. Not my favorite thing. But I love their sopes regardless. The beans and rice here are perfect and it’s definitely one of my favorite things!

Don’t recommend it. My girlfriend and I had it I had burrito and she has tacos. We both have steak. My girlfriend is Mexican and right away she told me the meat tastes old but since we were hungry we are them and for 72 hours we had to pay a visit to the restrooms every now and then

Update: ever since discovering Ricos Tacos, the frequency of our visits has increased. My wife has fallen in food-love with the Enfrijoladas — tortillas dipped in beans, then rolled and covered with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, salsa and cheese. Delicious!!! I continue to swear that the chicken served here is the best tasting bird in Riverside. If you haven’t tried this place yet, what are you waiting for? Jump, Sparky!

This place is great! I only had the tacos. I tried the Asada, Carnitas, and Buche. They were all really good but buche will always be my personal favorite, when made correctly. I’ve tried many other taco places in Riverside and let me tell you the tacos out here aren’t the greatest. This place is definitely worth trying.

It’s hard finding a really good Mexican food joint in this area. And this is one of the best. The meat taste so good and prices are reasonable. Buche tacos are good. Carne asada burritos are good too.

Good food, bad location as in SCARY! Don’t go alone after dark and get it to go, but the tacos are GREAT.

I usually eat at Hot Chicks Rice or Rice Box because I almost always prefer Asian food over American or Mexican food. Well, Ricos Tacos has gone and changed that. After reading Robert B’s review, regular tacos were not an option. It was tacos tortillas al mano ALLTHEWAY. There was no pork that day so I got an asada and chicken taco. Service was great, the food was great, and cheaper than Hot Chicks and Rice Box, what is there to complain about?! Nothing, absolutely nothing to gripe about. 5 stars.
