This restaurant appears to be closed. At 8:30 pm on Sweetest Day the parking lot was empty and the place was dark.

My friend and I met there at 7:15 tonight to try their steaks. By 8PM we hadn’t seen a waiter and left. Each of the 5 tables in our section had angry patrons. As we were leaving, a woman from a table at the front was bringing her half eaten dinner to the manager to complain. Talk about having a bad night… Never again.

Their website lists their opening at 3PM. I called a number of times, finally being successful at 4:30 last Friday evening. My chicken lacked seasoning and both of our twice-baked potatoes weren’t properly heated. My date’s first margarita was superb. Her second drink contained a dead fly and was sent back. The next drink was sent back because it was too sour. The third drink was also too sour and she didn’t drink it. When you pay $ 8.50 for a drink, not only do you expect an excellent drink, but also consistency. The server was great and it seemed as if she has had plenty of practice apologizing for various miscues. I emailed the management of our experience the next day. Obviously he doesn’t care because no response was ever received.

We split the Calamari appetizer delicious and a good size serving. Wife had the Lamb Chops wish I had ordered them. WOW! Double Baked cheesy potato excellent. I had the Skirt Steak and Shrimp special. The steak was fantastic but the shrimp was mediocre and so were the mash potatoes and that’s why 4 not 5 stars. By the way we ate at the bar and Ken the barkeep was very attentive and entertaining.

If there was a way to give a restaurant zero stars this would be the perfect time. Not only was the service awful. Our reservation was at 5:45 and we are now leaving at 8:27. We were a party of 19. 5 never got their dinner. 1 got something they didn’t order. 2 got raw chicken that had to be sent back. A peskytarian was given chicken on a salad with salmon. Never go to this restaurant. Ever. Absolutely disgusting. Gagging

Not the best dining experience we’ve ever had. A Groupon enticed us to give the place a try. The place was fairly crowded not packed. The service was pretty terrible. We waited for ten minutes to have someone take our drink order and then another 10 fort the drinks to arrive. Our meals also took an excruciatingly long time to arrive. The food was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. The dessert was awesome.

Let’s review, campers. Recent name change.(Possible ownership change — maybe a partnership dissolution??) and a flurry of flames masquerading as «reviews» from« Unilocalers» with fewer than Five friends/reviews? Hmmm what might be going on here? I had a Great skirt steak, baked potato loaded and a Fresh salad with blue cheese so sharp it bit Back. Busiest part of the dinner hour, everyone was courteous and attentive! I’ll be Back!

I wasn’t going to write a review; why kick a dog when it’s down, ya know? But I wouldn’t be doing the right thing by not warning Unilocalers to avoid this place. I thought I was the only one who hated the food, until we drove home and everyone admitted they were just being polite. While the server was wonderful and tried to be accommodating, the food was inedible. I had brisket that was soaked in an awful sauce and tough as nails. They replaced it was a burger that was, dare I say, the worst I’ve ever had. It was mad correctly and looked wonderful but tasted disgusting. I just don’t get it. Avoid at all costs.

I have been to many restaurants this had the worst experience and the worst manager. My companion and I were enjoying our salads when the person at the next table told us not to talk. WHEN I called over the manager he said he would move us, I said move them we did nothing wrong, He did nothing at all. I cancelled my dinner by this time. My companion finished hers and when the bill came they tried to charge us for my dinner which I had cancelled. They boxed it up trying to make me pay for a dinner I cancelled. The manager never came by after those people left to see if we were okay. Horrible service will never go back again.

Not sure why there were such awful reviews! We had a wonderful experience today so I urge you to give them a chance. We had spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer and it was delicious. , y dad had a skirt steak taco salad with garlic dressing and loved it. I had the BBQ chicken salad and it was excellent. Service was great. We will be back!

I had never been to Jimmy’s Charhouse however what I am gathering is that Flame is the same restaurant with nothing more than a new name. Things started off well with hot bread coming out of the kitchen and water served right away. Menu looked appetizing with lots of selection. Our server was extremely nice and pleasant. My wife ordered the ribs and I ordered the filet mignon sandwich. We also ordered the calamari appetizer. My wifes meal came with cream of mushroom soup which came our right away. It tasted no better than canned soup… not a single sign of mushroom. After ordering, we waited… and waited… and waited and finally our entrees came out. The calamari was missed. Our server apologized and made sure it wasn’t on our bill… but we really were in the mood for calamari. My wifes ribs were very tough. I don’t like fall off the bone ribs but these we struggled to cut through, let alone eat. My sandwich was a joke. The«filet mignon» was no better than a sirloin and was about the size of a silver dollar. Not a speck of seasoning on the meat. One half of my sandwich had less than a bites worth of meat but plenty of lettuce and tomato. Horseradish sauce? Didn’t see a drop except for a small amount slathered on a quarter of the bread. The bacon was good but thats about it. All around poor, careless execution. The french fries were good but I wont be coming back for fries. This place needs to get its act together. I am willing to pay top dollar for thoughtfully prepared food and I did not feel that’s what was being delivered at Flame — I am sure that I am not unique in that sentiment.

Meh, no thanks… I ordered a skirt steak sandwich, and I got a fatty piece of leather on some bread. It was such a cruddy cut of meat that I can barely bite through the middle. Not only was it a bad cut, it was cooked incorrectly. I ordered medium and it was red in the middle. Pops’ brisket and veggies left A LOT to be desired. Ugh. I won’t be coming back. Such a shame since it right by my work.

Decided to try Flame with my wife and two children for my birthday after buying a groupon. Seemed worth a shot. I knew it wasn’t perfect for kids, but that was ok. I did not have super high expectations, just was hoping for a decent meal. We went early(5:30) and the place was not too busy. With two kids we hoped for a normal booth, but were taken to a table. We asked to sit in one of the normal booths(about 10 were open) and were told no, our only option was the table or a smaller, circular booth. That was disappointing. Service was good, we ordered two kid meals, salmon and the twin filets. We also ordered calamari as an appetizer. The food came quick, the calamari was good, so was the tortilla soup. I ordered a Pinot noir, which was good too. The entrees arrived quickly, my filets were tender and cooked to order. I was pleased. However, my wife’s salmon was way over cooked. Not just a little overcooked, pretty much inedible. She asked to have the salmon recooked. It took about 20 minutes to get her new meal and this time it was raw in the middle. She nibbled around the outside, told the server and manager what was wrong but no attempt was made to make it right. I figured they would have comped us something, maybe my wine? But they didn’t. Very disappointing. They did give me a piece of cake for my birthday. Overall, very mediocre experience, don’t think we will be going back anytime soon.

Got a good deal on a $ 25 coupon from so decided to check out the former Jimmy’s Charhouse. Arrived at about 6:30 on Friday night. The restaurant was nearly full with the senior set. It’s a steak place so we ordered the rib eye and skirt steak. Comes with soup or salad, potato or rice and a vegetable. One of us had salad, the other soup. Salad was non-descript. On the soup, he said he’s had better and he’s had worse. The rib eye was very fatty. The skirt steak was pretty good. Potatoes were fine, but hard to mess that up. Vegetables were soggy. Bottom line, this is an average steak place. Nothing was a stand out. No need for us to return. Helped to have $ 25 off.

I hadn’t gone to Jimmy’s for probably 15 years, but when it reopened as Flame, I decided to give it a shot. I wish I hadn’t. It seems like they had literally just changed the name on the outside of the building(didn’t even take the JC off the awnings), and that’s about it. Everything inside was EXACTLY the same(even the silverware/dishes), and felt very old and worn down. The food was AWFUL! I ordered the chopped salad and received a huge bowl of mostly lettuce with 2 different dressings that both were not good(I had asked for a second after I disliked the first). My husband had the skirt steak and it also was flat out bad(overcooked and flavorless). We ended up stopping at McDonalds on our way home(although we did pay for our meal even though they saw that neither of us ate anything) and enjoyed that much more. Hoping for something new for the neighborhood, but all we got was a new name with the same old… I’m still not sure how Jimmy’s lasted as long as it had, but I certainly don’t see this restaurant lasting long.
