Even though once you’ve been to one you have been to them all I like this one because it seems to be a classy hangout right off the highway. I normally would get a pike and a shot of espresso. Grab a nice comfortable seat in one of there leather chairs and use some free WiFi. If you need to grab a quick cup of joe while traveling this is the spot to go too.

I was expecting the worse considering some of the previous reviews and was even looking out for rude, blonde Baristas, but was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the lady who took my order. The store was fairly clean and the service is the typical speed I have come to expect out of a busy Starbucks. We are on the road travelling for the holidays to Florida and it was nice to take a pit stop and grab a nice hot Caramel Apple Spice w extra caramel drizzle and extra whip and a few added sugar-in-the-raw packets to sweeten this already favorite cider-ish drink of mine! I love this time of year especially for that! The drink w my modifications was delish oh by the way!

I have been to a lot of Starbucks and thus is the most inefficient one. 10 people in line, and there are two people slowly filling napkins? Why not wait on customers and do that later. 20 min for my coffee!

I received what I asked for quickly and found the staff friendly enough for the short quick interaction. Not outstandingly great or outlandishly bad. The scone was fresh, but crumbly. The breakfast sandwich was hot. My drink was a tall seasonal concoction. There was a small group of state troopers having their breakfast as well as a pair of young people with laptops. I don’t think this location deserves such a bad string of reviews.

Very slow service… 30 minutes for 2 drinks. On top of that the drinks were terrible. Not up to Starbucks standards.

Like another reviewer said a lot of these reviews are unfair. This is the last Starbucks you’ll see for a while if you’re heading north and the first you’ll see if you’re heading south. I have never ever had bad service there and I go at least four times a week. The staff is always friendly and helpful. And it is always clean when I go.

I frequently make the drive between Raleigh and Alexandria. I’ve stopped at this Starbucks several times. The drive-thru is always quick, and the employees are friendly.

Poor customer service. The lady who took the order was nice and friendly but the blonde barista was rude. Made the drink and left it on the counter, didn’t say it was ready whereas she called all the other people’s orders. Seemed racist to me. This was on April 10 an 12:15. Will not return.

Was traveling to Virginia on I-95 and stopped in to use the restroom and get some coffee. It was about 8:30 pm on a Sunday night. There were three employees and fewer than 10 customers… nearly all of whom had already received their coffee. I walked right up to the counter and was surprised I had to wait a full two mins before anyone took my order. It seemed like it was cleaning and/or restocking time behind the counter and all 3 employees were involved in it… while I stood there. Eventually a long haired guy hesitantly came over to take my order. I asked for a small«Blonde Latte»(blonde coffee mixed with steamed milk). The employee taking my order apparently misunderstood because what I paid for and received was(I’m guessing) a «Flan Latte». I didn’t realize the mix up until I was on I-95 again and took a sip of the super-sweet drink. Yikes! It’s unfortunate this is the only Starbucks for miles around because the service is slow and they sometimes will screw up your order.

SLOWESTSERVICEEVER!!! Will never be back! Line out the door and only one cashier. To be on a busy interstate, things need to be speedy. Just ordered plain coffee since too long ringing up a latte.

I live 30 minutes away from this Starbucks and visit it frequently. I find the reviews a bit unfair. It is one of the busiest ones I have ever been in and I have been in ones from NYC to FL and as far west as San Diego and Denver. This one is right off I-95 and is the first stop coming south just over the NC state line and the last heading north before the VA state line. ALMOSTEVERYONE is traveling, tired and in a hurry to get to their destination. I think it is important to keep the customers«frame of mind» in the proper perspective. I find the staff doing the best they can to provide adequate service under these circumstances. I am grateful they are here and I have never gotten a bad beverage over the last four years.

Unbelievable! In general I find Starbucks south of DC to be slow, but this store wins for both slowness and messiness. I can only assume the regional management has not trained the staff well. Additionally, there did not appear to be any site manager in the place. The drive– thru had two employees working on orders but the in store customers only had one employee struggling to keep up… which he could not. After waiting ten minutes(yes, I said ten minutes) for a tall Americano I went back to the cash register and swapped it for a regular coffee just to get back on the road. The women’s bathroom was filthy and my husband said the men’s room smelled awful. I have never seen a Starbuck’s with this kind of neglect. Keep on driving even if your desperate for delicious coffee as we were… it’s not worth the bad experience.

Coffee was good. But place was not kept up with throughout the day. I understand it is probably a popular stop among travelers but cleanliness should be maintained. Coming from I95 North do not take exit 171. The correct exit would be 173 to avoid dark back roads.

Waited a half hour for my coffee, and it tastes burnt. This location is a huge disappointment. At my home Starbucks if you wait over 10 minutes in the drive thru they don’t accept your card, it’s free. & if you already paid, your next cup is free. What a joke, worst experience at a Starbucks ever. I’ve been to NYC at an insanely busy Starbucks and they kept it together better than this place did. Unorganized mess! Literally had to tell them what I ordered bc they lost it. And by the way I totally get that they get a lot of road trippers off I-95 but I live in gettysburg, a heavy tourist area & our Starbucks is still 1,000x’s better. No excuse.

I personally frequent this Starbucks anytime I’m in the area. I read the rest of the reviews and there are some truth to them, but something to consider is that this Starbucks is located right off i-95. During weekends and holidays, it’s jam packed because roadtrippers usually make their rest stop here. While the service is slow during those high peak days, it’s not within the business’s control. This is a regular sized Starbucks and the service has always been really friendly. I knocked off a star because the bathrooms are a bit dirty — dirtier than other Starbucks at least. Great place to sit down and do work while enjoying a hot beverage.

I read the reviews on Unilocal.Said it was bad… I thought, can’t be that bad. It’s that bad. Not enough staff for the volume. Dirty. I have pictures. Slow. Men’s room out of order. 2 stalls in ladies room– men jumping in line, thought I was at a concert. Not a single smile or happy face. Yuck yuck yuck! I used to travel to Richmond frequently and have stopped here before and it was fine. Stay away… Starbucks you need to fix– this store is a blemish to you reputation..

If you know me you know that I visit Starbucks every day.(I know. Get over it!) On a recent journey back to NJ from FL I stopped at this location for my morning espresso fix and breakfast for the brood. It was prior to 7 a.m. and this location was out of everything we ordered; light cream cheese, veggie egg and cheese sandwich, tomato basil panini… Service was friendly, but not very apologetic for the inconvenience. Espresso drinks were fine.

I was a little worried about stopping at this Starbucks, but I needed my fix while traveling down I-95! They must have improved… ladies bathroom was clean! There were actually five employees working, trying to keep up with the constant flow of customers. I felt they were still a tad slow, but definitely a great improvement from the previous reviews.
