Had a great lunch at Fork in the Alley. The pork«bro rito» and wood fired pizza were spectacular. Would highly recommend. Great service.

Really liked the place. Great atmosphere except there were kids running around and making a lot of noise. It was Sunday afternoon so maybe that was to be expected. Best pizza I have had since moving to Virginia about 5 months ago. Service was great. No complaints except the noise from the kids running in and out — would have been 5 stars.

This place has a really cool dive bar feel to it. The neighborhood is adorable and the décor(right down to the physical menu) is unique. We ate here on a Monday at around 4pm so it wasn’t very busy at all. Our order consisted of the Chicago dog with a side of Mac n cheese and a small pizza that I designed(all the cheeses they offered and jalapeño peppers). Our food was out in NOTIME! The hotdog and Mac n cheese were amazing, and the pizza was impressive(although not the very best I’ve had). Prices were good, they have daily specials, staff was friendly. Overall a great hidden gem!

This place is amazing with s great neighborhood feel. My husband and I were here on a business trip. JR immediately made us feel like we were at home. Amazing food and spirits. I love the long yellow fork cab. We returned for blue grass music and it was rocking.

Food is good but the server doesn’t want to be here and it shows. We ordered an appetizer and the lunch. The lunch came first and the rather large app came 10 minutes later. He should have timed that better and at least addressed the issue. Truly awful and an embarrassment for a tasty place to eat.

The restaurant is tucked back between a 7 – 11 and a cupcake place, the outdoor seating is a tent and the inside is a small neighborhood bar. The food is great with unique hot dogs, brick oven pizza and other fare. Gteat atmosphere, and a good meal.

At nearly 50, I’ve eaten at nearly every pizza place on the west coast. This pizza is by far the best I’ve ever experienced. The toppings are delicious, the crust was incredible and the atmosphere there elevates the experience exponentially.

My friend and I always stop here when we are in the area. When we know we are passing through the area we get very excited to have lunch or dinner here. I always get the Cajun Blue burger and it is consistently delicious. Love the trendy atmosphere and fantastic tap selection.

Cool little spot for dinner. Menu is pretty basic. I had a burger with pimento cheese on it which was really good. Beer selection is average at best, service was average, burger was above average. It was a Thursday and the menu says $ 2 off all burgers so the whole table ordered burgers only to find out the special ends at 6. I didn’t see it stated anywhere but I wasn’t going to argue over $ 2 — still a bit annoying though.

My boyfriend and I have eaten here a few times. Great food, wonderful staff. Their outside seating is fantastic on beautiful days. They have inside seating, as well as a full bar. They call themselves Fork in the Alley because you’ll certainly need a fork for their massive burgers! The fried green beans are also the bee’s knees. Definitely not for those on a diet, but a great place to treat yourself!

We stopped by for a quick bite and a beer. We shared a pizza with Italian sausage, pepperoni, red onions, portobello mushrooms, and black onions– it was fantastic! The brick oven did its job. Service was great and the atmosphere outside was cute. We definitely enjoyed our late lunch.

Very pleased with apps and drinks on a Tuesday evening. Was really nice to sit outside. Prices were fair and the portions were huge. The tenders and fries app was a full meal. Draft beer and wine by the glass was fairly priced. Service was fast and the food was served very hot. Parking seems to be what you can find along the surrounding streets, but we got there early and had our pick. There was a really nice mix of patrons there, from families with kids to hipsters to retired couples, most of whom seemed to be regulars. Our only complaint was that they seated customers with a non-service dog in tow(which one of the servers was handling.) Non-service dogs have no place in a restaurant, even if the seating is outside, and food servers have no business playing with dogs while on the job. Had it been our server we would have left. Otherwise, they would have scored five stars easily. Dogs aside, it was a very nice evening out.

I want to give this more stars because the food was good, service was good, and I loved sitting outside. But unfortunately, the food took forever! Granted, we got there Saturday around noon and most of the tables were full outside in the front. But still, we ordered two black bean burgers and chicken tenders from the kids menu and the food took nearly 45 mins. Fries were lukewarm and not crisp when they arrived at the table. Chicken tenders were hot but the fries with it were not. Black bean burgers were good; I usually dislike most black bean burgers because they’re either over spiced or fall apart too easily. These didn’t. They were a nice consistency and seasoned so that they didn’t overwhelm the other items on the burger. Server was attentive. I’ll definitely be back, but I hope the kitchen gets its act together.

I was here today for a late(very, very late) lunch. We ordered most of the appetizers — the Tuscan Cheese Bread with Fresh Rosemary, Chicken Quesadillas, and Grey’s Tenders. The portions were impressively large for what we paid for them, though I’m not sure appetizers are their strong suit. The Tuscan Cheese Bread was incredible, though — we left most of everything else on the table(simply a lack of appetite), but the bread was gone in ten minutes. The Grey’s Tenders were good, but I wish we had ordered the Buffalo tenders, and the only difference I’d like to see in regard to the quesadilla is no scallions. They don’t add anything — it’s like biting into celery. Weird and strangely cold. I highly recommend the Greco pizza; I had it last October and would have ordered it again had I been hungrier. I didn’t catch our waitress’ name, but she was just the right amount of sassy and professional. The first thing she said to us was, «Please don’t ask me what my favorite appetizer is. I answered this like six times last night.» The outside seating is wonderful and the presentation of the menus is very trendy and unique. The only complaint I have is that the seating area is small, so the noise from other parties seems to be amplified. Beyond that, FITA is quaint and the menu is full of good food. Will definitely be back!

On this trip, I had the«Bro» rito. This is one superb version of a burrito. I would highly suggest you go for the traditional pork version; this is by far my favorite dish on their menu, although I have yet to try the dogs! They have Brick oven S’mores for dessert and I would recommend adding peanut butter if that is something you can enjoy. I will be back and keep coming back. Everyone seems to have their one or two favorites and you can never go wrong with their pizza. A cool place to hang out and an awesome patio to dine on including big fans in the summer heat and heaters in the winter cold. Check it out; it’s worth it.

Definitely the best of the Forks, but still a little hit or miss. The service is spotty, often times it just seems like they don’t have enough people working. The pizzas are top notch, the rest of the menu is meh. Outdoor atmosphere is delightful.

FITA used to be a solid 4 stars. That is the only reason I am rounding up what at best was a 1.5 star experience today. My wife and I ordered three different hot dogs (Mad Dog, Slaw Dog and the Scooby). None of them were even half way decent. The buns used to be good quality and toasted/grilled. Today they were cold and crumbling and tasted like the cheapest grocery store kind. Our dogs had obviously only been grilled on one side; burnt crusty grill line on one side and cold on the other. The baked mac-n-cheese used to be amazing. It is now a bland soupy mess. The quality of all of the ingredients seem to have taken a major hit. The other servers appeared to be hard wotking. Ours wasn’t. I am really sad to write this review, because until today I really enjoyed FITA. Perhaps my wife said it best saying she would have preferred a hot dog from the 7 – 11 next door.

Good casual fare. My faves are their brick oven pizza. Their black bean chili is good and spicy. Their salads are good also. I’ve tried both their Alley and City locations. They have live music on some evenings. Either location is good for pizzas, burgers, salads for an easy casual meal. Decent service but it can be slow when they get really busy.
