Good steak, tender, marbled with the right amount of fat to render it juicy and flavorful with shrooms prepared properly, hot firm baked potato nice fresh house salad A good meal for a good price, served by very nice waitress Michaela. The inside is a little dark, but clean. The restroom was clean well stocked and clean smelling. The staff was friendly and very hospitable. I read the negative reviews… I don’t understand people who complain after the fact, if its not right give them the opportunity to fix the problem. I recommend this restaurant and will return.

The wife and I stopped in at 2:30 for late lunch. I had seen an ad on wsls 10 web page for free onion bloom with an entrée. Told waitress we would like to get one. She said let me ask the manager about that. Came back and said that was only for hotel guess with a pass??? Wth? So I ordered a steak, salad and potato. The steak was the usda choice sirloin. If you like chewing on rubber bands then this is the steak for you. Obviously a frozen cheap low grade steak thrown on the grill. The potato had spoiled or extremely cheap sour cream on it. Could not eat it at all. The salad was decent and the server was very good. I wasted $ 55 on crap food. Save yourself the money and try something else. As I was waiting for my food I overheard the customer next to me ordering the menu listed(I saw it on there as well) all you can eat smoked ribs on the Saturday special. Again waitress said I do not think we offer that anymore, let me check with the manager. Here again she tells this customer it is available until we run out. Guess what, at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon, they are already out! Go figure! What a poorly run operation! You can find better tasting food at a better price in the Roanoke area.

Stopped in late Saturday afternoon. Very busy at an odd time. Service was good. Food not so much. My daughter really enjoyed her chicken tenders which were the highlight. My son’s buffalo wings were too sweet and not spicy enough. My husband’s philly cheese sandwich had almost no peppers or onion. My half club was okay but stay away from the potato soup. Definitely not the highlight of my day. Overall mediocre at best. I would not go back. Don’t eat the after dinner mints. They taste like soap. Yuck.

Great food, great staff. I enjoy coming to Jersey Lily’s for both lunch and dinner. The staff is consistently cheerful and the food is consistently well prepared. My favorite steakhouse in the area.

Tried their new spinach flatbread pizza and it was great, but disappointed they haven’t changed dessert menu or special’s in years. That is why only 3 stars

Ugh. Where do I start. The good: I ordered a special: a crab cake served with coconut shrimp. And surprisingly, the crab cake was very good. Not under cooked and mushy, but hot with a crispy crust, and no bready overkill. My husband got the chopped steak, and ate every bite. The bad: Our entrees were great, but every other detail of the meal was just awful. Sweet tea was not fresh. Our salad lettuce had a lot of brown spots and the croutons didn’t even crunch — they were so stale they were chewy. I would have loved if the crab cake(which is a menu item, and not an irregular special) came with traditional remoulade, but this came with tartar sauce. Hey, it’s a roadhouse, I completely understand. But the tartar was slimy and rancid. The downright ugly: Our waitress — let me just say I get that waitressing is a hard job. People have circumstances going on that make going to work that much more difficult, especially when ones job is dealing with the public. But our waitress just could not be bothered to pretend that she had a personality. Did she get our orders right? Yes. Did she refill our drinks? Yes. Did she even take back a dish that my daughter tried and didn’t like? Without hesitation. But you would have thought we were holding her family hostage or something through the whole ordeal. Secondly, we were at a ‘roadhouse’ with a full bar so my husband ordered a draft. He produced his ID in spite of the fact we had an 11 year old in tow, but because the plastic on his ID was warped in the corner, it was deemed unacceptable, and they refused to serve him alcohol. I walked to the bar and asked a very kind woman what exactly was the matter — is this for real or is the surly waitress on a power trip? Apparently, they have a rule that any ID that is frankly not pristine might have been tampered with and not legitimate. I asked why ID was even an issue when the patron is clearly over 21, and accompanied by their legal spouse and decade old progeny. But I was told a rule’s a rule. I won’t even mention the travesty that is Jersey Lily’s bathroom. There are better and more deserving restaurants in Roanoke to take your family to than this.

I think it’s extremely terrible… I would go to any other steakhouse possible, the food is well below average, little selection, it’s dirty, dark, the waitresses are bimbos, and literally all their customers are senile, everytime I get dragged here the only other people there are a 100 years old, their tastes buds have died and they’ve lost their will to live… that’s why they go to the jersey Lilly’s

Good service. Decent comfort food. Go early on Sunday to beat the church silver hair crowd.

Not my favorite place for a steak but the filet is tasty and this is the go to place for events at my work. The bloomin onion at my last visit was good. Try the warm bacon dressing!

Love everything I have tried there so far. Lunch specials are cheaper and more filling than a drive thru

After driving by this place MANY times, I finally turned in for lunch yesterday. This place looks like any other«chain» roadhouse place. Notable differences, no peanuts on the floor, and a smoking section(rare these days and downright unheard of that it was appropriately separated from the main dining room). Lots of menu items were attractive. This place has VERY well priced lunch specials 5.99 w/soda and MANY options. Wife had the chicken finger platter w/fried apples(great honey mustard). All you can eat ribs was the daily special for 9.99, but alas, they ran out. I settled on the 7oz sirloin skipped the salad for a cup of chili, and fries. Steak was perfectly cooked, Chili was MUCH better than anticipated(but could have been served above luke warm), and fries were crisp and hot. The verdict: We’ll be back! Steak was better than others in town(logans, longhorn) and it cost less than 25.00 w/tax and tip.

We were driving back from the Layman farms corn«maize» and were looking for something to eat. This place looked packed so we figured that we might as well give it a shot. The food here is basically the same as Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse or whatever Texas-themed steakhouse you want to go with. I tried the sirloin and coconut shrimp combo. It was alright. The shrimp were pretty good. The steak was ok, nothing special. It was cooked how I wanted it. This place is pretty much your average chain restaurant. Service was good. This seems like the place where all the high school kids go for dinners before dances or their dates… so keep that in mind when looking for a dinner option. Also, this place has an isolated smoking section/bar area. Not a bad option, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

Jersey Lily’s has been a perennial lunch spot for me when I have business on this end of town — I can’t believe it has taken me this long to offer a review! Known for their high quality, hearty fare, JL’s always offers consistently good quality at a reasonable price in a Texas-style atmosphere. For lunch, I routinely order the meatloaf or the homemade pot roast. The meatloaf($ 5.99 for lunch) is some of the most flavorful I’ve ever had. The pot roast($ 7.99 for lunch) is slow-cooked and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Both come with mashed potatoes, gravy, and country green beans — although JL is happy to substitute upon request. Today I had a lunch cut 12 oz ribeye, medium rare with green beans and a side salad. The steak was well seasoned and prepared just at the right temperature. Oh… and I also had the apple cobbler ala mode — but don’t tell my wife! ;) Reliably good, reasonably priced, and consistent service make Jersey Lily’s one of the better restaurants out Route 460. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!
