My Husband and I went here yesterday for a casual evening. He had been there many times before, but this was my first time. It’s a small dive bar with several pool tables. A low key crowd as it was a Monday night. I could tell the people already there were regulars and everyone was so friendly. The bartender, Mikey, was fantastic. I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea, which Mikey mixed fabulously. The food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled awesome. My Husband bragged upon many of their food items. I ended up ordering a house salad, along with a pepperoni and cheese pizza. I must say everything was fantastic. So much so, that I ask Hubby if we could go back again. I would highly recommend this place for a casual night with higher than expected expectations. Kind of a hidden gem!

This is my favorite bar. Great prices and people. The bartender’s shifts are set so you’ll always know how to find your favorites. Although, they are all my favorites. Great food too, I love the Papa D’s special and their grilled cheese! Also, I wouldn’t say that it’s a «Walking Dead» bar but I did come here every Sunday to watch the newest episodes with other regulars. I wish I could go back now for a big beer!

Papa D’s rocks! Great food and service, and they don’t mind making your sub or sandwich your way! Fun place and atmosphere!

Great place to drink and listen to awful karaōke. A couple of nice pool tables, too. Hollins University summer students have made it their go to bar and Kory(the owner) always welcomes them with open arms and a big smile. Its a great, low key, unassuming place. And a little too smoky!

Cheese steaks rule. Second only to New York Pizza in Vinton. Subs are top notch. Not sure about anything else

I love Papa D’s! Kory the owner is the most awesome man on the planet. The atmosphere is friendly, kinda like cheers. The Karaōke is amazing and the food is always good. The alcohol doesn’t cost much and they have a good selection. The best if you go and get drunk you can get a ride home from Kory in the short bus! You have to go at least once in your life. Or hundreds of times if you live in Roanoke.

If you want an actual hoagie like they make up in Philly, go here. Man is this stuff good. I can’t get a good hoagie where I live now(CO) and I wait all year to go home and eat at Papa D’s.
