I’d have to say this is a great BX, of all I’ve been to. They have a pretty big food court with outdoor seating, the standard clothing sales, tailor/dry cleaners, and Regular AAFES store, along with a bunch of other specialty stores. The AAFES was big with a lot of merchandise. And there’s even a massage area where you can grab a quick massage and pay by the minute. I can’t think of anything it was lacking.

I been to the Base Exchange a few different times while visiting my father’s family here in Georgia. They have all different kinds of mini shops inside the walking area before you get to the Base Exchange inside they have mini stores as well and even a Dunkin Doughnuts which is a plus if your wanting a cold or hot coffee or maybe something for a snack wise. Inside the Base Exchange they have a men’s, ladies, children’s, fragrance, lipstick and makeup area for the ladies. Also they have sporting good areas for the men who like weapons and ammo. For the computer guys and ladies they have a section for that as well they sell PC or also Apple Macintosh. Also they sale cell phones from different cell phone carriers/providers also as well they sell Televisions all different kinds.

I miss this place already. Since my brother is stationed here, I got the privilege of seeing their base exchange. I didn’t get to walk everywhere but inside is just a more tightened security mini mall. I spent most of my time waiting in the food court area, shopped in the store for the necessary toiletries and left. The food court area– yes, no tax on my food! yes, it’s everything I would want to eat! Charleys, Popeyes, Dunkin Donuts’ etc… but like any mall food court, they are some rude employees. Dunkin’ Donuts– the employee laughed smiled and bared along with me as my first time visiting a Dunkin’ Donuts in my life. EVER. I enjoyed this location because it was tax free, everything I could buy at home for a better price! I bought 2 K-cup(coffee caramel & hot chocolate) iced coffee for the car ride to Atlanta and some donuts for the 2 kids. It came to just over $ 20. Buying 2 K-cup items at Baskin Robbins at home is already $ 25+ Charley’s Sub– dang… girl behind the counter with attitude. Sister in law was ordering something for my brother because we know he’d be hungry getting off work. Eyes rolling and attitude like she’s something hot & popular in high school. Of course the minute my brother comes in she’s all smiled and charm. Is it the uniform or because we’re not a guy?

This BX is definitely commensurate with the size of the military population on this AFMC dominated base – very small! It is well-kept but very small. Definitely does not have the variety of selection like a large AF base such as Lackland or Army post like Benning, but is good for bare necessities.

The BX at this base is just A-OK… A little on the small size for a base this size. I know AAFES has been rebuilding and remodeling tons of locations — this location appears to be fairly new, which is why I was surprised for it to be so small. Anyway, they do have all the basics, just no too big of a selection… of anything… just the basics. And with all on-base perks… all purchases are tax free… gotta love that.
