Maybe not the best place to stop in before going to an interview… I could NOT stop eating their garlic paste. It’s likely the best I’ve ever had(if not, the top 3 for sure). So perfectly garlicky and spicy and the perfect consistency. Man, that stuff is addictive! The salad with chicken schwarma was quite good, as was the lentil soup. The schwarma was the perfect balance of spice and fat — just the way I like it. If I lived in the area, I would definitely use this as my go-to for Lebanese food. And really, that’s saying a lot since I have lived in the Dearborn area for a long, long time. I’m no rookie! Oh, and my waitress was very sweet and checked in on me the perfect amount — not too often, not too infrequent. Also, that same waitress was very accommodating as she took the order at the table next to me — they were about the two most annoying people I’ve ever heard order in my life… something like Sally in «When Harry Met Sally», only not nearly as cute. Kudos to you, dear waitress, you’re good.

Great great Mediterranean. So flavorful. Kibbe nayee done so beautifully, it’s truly an experience. Lots of soft bread with our garlic and hummous with veggies. Pretty reasonable on the pricing considering how much food you get. I love mediterranean, and this place delivers to my office, so me thinks it’s going to be a very beautiful relationship! Yes!

Awesome taste and very reasonable price for the tasty food. The staff is super friendly too. We will definitely go again. We got the kebab mix for 1, the chicken humus and a latan soup. I will recommend this place every time others.

Went back to Shish Palace a third time over Thanksgiving and this place just can’t be beat. We ordered the lamb shwarma and it’s outrageously good. I would love to know what they use to season their meat. As usual the pita, hummus, and baba were out of this world. I will keep on coming back.

Shish Palace is HEAVENLY!!! Eating the pita bread feels like having clouds in your mouth and the people who work here are just angels.. . If this was just any normal restaurant, each entrée could probably feed around 2 Vivians with the ginormo portions they serve, but since I’m in love with this place, I usually lick my whole plate clean. and WOW this is one of the two Middle Eastern restaurants I’ve been to in Michigan which don’t make crumbly and tough-leaved grape leaves. Everything here is good. A+++++++ especially for the free pita bread(?? lk why do other places charge money when their bread is rock hard and weird-tasting)

I went here for the first time today for lunch. It was OK but not as good as I had hoped it would be. The falafel sandwich was the main reason for my middling opinion. The patty spicing was not balanced, the sauce did not have the tahini richness I craved and the bread lacked the suppleness I wanted. The salad and side of rice were OK — not bad but not up to top notch standards. The stars of the meal were the oven-baked bread and powerful garlic sauce — nice but I would have preferred that the main part of the meal was better.

About 4ish. one one other table eating. Started with fresh lemon/orange ade, so fresh and cold. Ordered Mjadre… lentils and fried onions, rice and their delish salad. Could have used more onions on entrée but it was still pretty good. Friend had the kufta/ground lamb, baked or fried, couldn’t tell. We both agreed it was sorta dense and to dry from my previous experience, husban frequently orders this and of course I always have to sample his meal. The garlic sauce and the fresh bread are always my favoriate. Love mideast food and eat here often. It is blocks from my home. The owner and servers are so friendly, never make food mistakes. Come on in, they treat you like family.

Ohhh my goodness. This is my favorite place to come for middle eastern food. This blows any middle eastern cuisine in the metro Detroit area. I’ve lived in Michigan for 18+ years and I hate going out for Arabic food until I discovered this place 2 years ago… And wow. They hire the funniest amazing staff, and also prepare the best food you can have. Hummus is 10, fattoush is 10, garlic is 10, chicken entrees and meat are always pure perfection! I honestly get more food than I pay for! I refuse to eat anywhere else, I love Shish palace to death. I recommend getting the chicken galaya because it’s super delicious here. And the fattoush should’ve be purchased anywhere else but here because God knows how amazing it is.

We are Middle Eastern food devotees and this restaurant tops our list. Tucked into a small retail strip mall on a busy blvd in Rochester Hills, you might drive right by. If you did notice it, you might assume it to be a small, largely take out place. We live within walking distance of this gem and made the same assumptions for the first year it was in operation. Take the time to stop by and enjoy a meal. You are likely to be greeted quickly by the friendly servers or maybe even Mo, the manager. Servers are well trained and attentive. We frequent the restaurant several times a week, right after the lunchtime rush. We are always quickly seated and the servers have become friends. We always hate to see them transfer to new locations or move on to other life endeavors. If an error is made, which is infrequent, it is quickly rectified. Mo is a generous and people-oriented manager who knows his customers faces and treats them well. He often treats us to appetizers or desserts on the house. We have enjoyed every entrée we have tried. The fresh baked bread and garlic spread is Amazing. We have created our own favorite salad: juicy chicken swarma over a crispy, very fresh bed of lettuce and veggies, topped with tabouli and their house dressing. Lunch portions are served until 3 pm and the food is always plentiful and freshly prepared. All foods are prepared in their kitchen daily, including hummus and soups. The lentil soup is some of the best I’ve ever had. A vegetarians staple. My husband enjoys the lamb chili. Flavorful and delicious. Our favorite evening entrée is the lemon oregano chicken Tawook. So tasty. The restaurant has a moderate amount of booths and tables. Festive pictures and colorful art provide an enjoyable ambience. The restaurant is clean and appealing. Enjoy your visit and prepare to return often.

To-go order: Ordered Lamb Ghallaba lunch special, with french fries and salad. It was delicious! Also at a great deal — around 10 bucks for a large portion. The lamb ghallaba was well-seasoned with a wonderful flavor. The vegetables were well-cooked and the lamb was tender. French fries were good, but nothing particularly special about them. not necessarily a bad thing, i just think it’s not their main priority. Salad though, had a wonderful, unique dressing. It included onions and romaine lettuce. Great side salad. All in all, the food was great. They even offered pita and garlic sauce(toum) for free! That’s more than what Palm Palace offers… My only complaint is that I thought the lady taking orders was a bit rude on the phone. When I met her in person though, she was cordial.

Great service ! Lentil soup is fresh and not salty. The owner always greets you when he is there. Always gives freshly baked bread with garlic dip for free. Shish kebabs are awesome. Fresh meat and salads are always a great choice. They make freshly squeezed lemonade lemons and oranges for only $ 3.50. Definite place to check out!

I came here accidentally last night with my boyfriend since we both were craving lentil soup and a fattoosh salad. We were both thinking of Palm Palace but I put this address in our gps on accident lol oops! I’m really glad we ended up here though! Our waiter, David, was awesome! We both started out with the crushed lentil soup and I have to say it was a bit cold but the flavors of it were so good I got another to go! The fattoosh tawook salad was perfect. The dressing was heavenly! I could literally drink it with a straw but the bf thought it was too salty for him. The bread and garlic is awesome here as well :) They have about 10 booths to dine at but it looks like they make most of their sales in carryouts. I must have seen at least 30 people come to pick up food. I really liked this place and would recommend you try it!
