Most Rochesterarians know about Abbott’s frozen custard that makes a sweet summertime snack. They are a locally based company and offer a unique perspective on ice cream.
This location just opened up next to LA Fitness (maybe a trap for the weak willed after working out) and has a fresh, warm feeling interior with a small seating area.
While most Abbots locations shut down for the winter, the new Henrietta store is open year round.
Custard isn’t the only thing on the menu… they bring their A-​game with ice cream sandwiches, flurries, pies, and frozen cakes. Prices are just below or in line with Coldstone, but I feel better about supporting a local company and getting a better taste (see what I did there?) of the wonderful Rochester area.
If you haven’t had their custard and you’re reading this, now is the time to go (unless they’re closed of course!).

Abbotts is always good. However the quality varies from store to store and I thought that this one was very good. I got a chocolate milk shake and it was very delicious.

The vanilla custard was way too soft and immediately dripping all over the place. Very disappointing.
