The space is tiny so it’s perfect for a cozy night out on a slower evening like a Tuesday or Wednesday for a post-work drink. I tend to frequent now more so on warmer, sunny days to settle in on their outdoor«patio.» They have several tables outside(more than inside) so it’s pretty easy to nab a spot to soak up the sun and enjoy a few weekend daytime beers. My friends come to watch sports. They have tvs inside. As for the drinks, I rarely see anyone getting the half pints anymore… not sure if that plan is gone to the wayside so if you want to get a halfsie of two different beers, you might have to ask for it because the default lately has been a single pint. They’ve had Bell’s and 3HB on tap for a while, I tend to go that route. Brooklyn Summer Ale is a go-to when it’s in season. Ciders are a win too. They have liquor so a solid vodka soda is another option for me. Their bloody marys are great too! Spicy! They toss in a dash o’ red wine, which gives it some depth. You can also order takeout and eat it on the patio. So grab a slice of pizza or a wrap and curb those beer munchies.

I’m good whenever I can drink and hang out with my pup, so I’ll take it! The wine left a lot to be desired, but I guess that’s not their specialty.

A bar that’s name so accurately describes it. This cute little building sits right on the corner of park and Oxford and is a nice stop for a low key, intimate night out with friends or a loved one. Service is usually pretty quick, but sometimes it gets pretty packed in due to its small size. There are a few tables inside and they also have outdoor seating when it’s nice out. Overall a really great spot for a few drinks.

Great neighborhood bar. Small and cozy. Went to watch a football game and it was fairly packed. Friendly service. Everyone seemed to know each other. Fun vibe.

The Half Pint Pub is such a neat little place. A real gem on Park Ave.(at the corner of Oxford). It’s a small, cozy Irish pub. Intimate and quiet, but boasts an overall great atmosphere. I was there the Saturday afternoon after Christmas. While it was quiet, there was still a pretty decent crowd of folks. 10 to 12 people, other than myself. They have TVs around the bar, so it’s a great place to watch sports. The beer menu is decent — great variety! Also, as their name indicates, they serve half pints. So if you can’t decide which beer you’d like to try, you can get two different beers for the price of one. Pretty neat! Because the location is so small, they don’t have a kitchen, but they have partnered with a local restaurant for some food offerings. I tried the fried mac and cheese bites. They came out a little«well done», but man were they still delicious! Loved the sweet and sour dipping sauce for them. Nice touch! Great place for a happy hour or some quiet day drinking.

Great beer options but this place is really really tiny! The bar tenders were nice enough but the vibe was very odd! I think a lot of locals go here and I definitely felt like an outsider… I would say give it a try it’s a good bar for the summer time because of the outdoor space!

Half Pint is a fun place to visit for a quick, pleasant drink. The outdoor seating is a great perk! The indoor seating is fine(but cramped, since it’s so tiny). The biggest disappointment the first time I visited was the enormous TVs inside the bar area. I’m tall, so sitting on a bar stool at one of the high tables, the top of my head almost touched the bottom of the TV. Lame!

Half Pint is the best place to come for an after work drink and it seems that’s usually the crowd they cater to most frequently. I just had the chance to check this place out(after work, of course) and I really enjoyed it. It’s a cool place albeit very small. The inside has room for only a handful of people. Luckily they have a great outdoor area with lots of little tables and chairs set up. Prime Park Ave people watching. It’s great during the summer when you can take your drinks out there and enjoy the weather but, I assume it could get quite cramped inside during the winter. I tried a tangerine beer they had on tap along with the Purple Haze(one of my tried and true favorites). Loved both choices and really appreciated that I could satisfy two cravings with only five bucks.

I love this small bar. It’s location in Park Avenue makes it the perfect spot to sit down, enjoy a beer, and people watch. The bar is small, so the service is usually very good, since they don’t have huge crowds to tend to. They have a decent beer selection, although not very large. They have half pints, which are perfect when you want to try something new, or when you may want to pace yourself.

I think this is s pretty average bar for Rochester. They have a great outdoor space, but the indoor space is pretty small. The beer selection is ok, but not great. Overall, I think this is a great bar to go to if you are in the area, but don’t go out of your way to stop in.

So adorable I love half pint! A great spot to walk too in the summer! It’s small but it’s worth it. Something new to try out for sure!

What a cool little place, and when I say little I mean that in the most literal sense possible. I came here later on a Wed evening, so it wasn’t too crowded. The bar is tiny though, and I could see it getting pretty uncomfortable during busier times. They also have an outdoor seating area as well, but it fills up pretty quick. I was also a little surprised by the bathroom situation, as they only have one for all patrons(for a second I thought I had walked into the wrong one). Took a bit longer than expected to get a beer for the amount of people there, but the service was super friendly. Can’t really see them as having the space back there for a 2nd bartender. I was a bit surprised by the prices, it was a lot less than I was expecting. The beer prices ranged from about $ 4.50-$ 5 for craft type draft beers. The cool thing about this place(and their namesake) is the fact that you can either get a full pint of one beer, or two half pints of different beers on the menu(both for the same price). It’s a great way to try new beers. I highly recommend the Tangerine beer. Yum! They do have food(kind of). It’s not cooked onsite, but ordered from Mozzeronis which is right across the street. Typical bar and pizza place food. The bar is also dog friendly, which is an added bonus for some. Though, if super allergic this may not be the place for you.

This bar is so tiny it is better for drinking outside vs. inside. It is a good location for having a beer when the weather is nice — this corner is a great central spot on Park Ave to people watch. In past summers we have watched the Gay Pride Parade from here which is really good people watching! The beer selection is pretty decent and the service was prompt despite a pretty big crowd on a Friday night.

Starting off with the pros, Half Pint has the best outdoor seating on Park Ave, with an awesome view of the magnolia trees on Oxford street in the spring. It’s exceptionally chill during off peak times(winter/weekday evenings/weekend afternoons), and bartenders tend to be skilled and speedy. They have a decent selection of beers, ranging from run-of-the-mill, to regional, to more exotic. It seems like they change out their taps pretty often, as there are new choices every time I stop in. Somewhat unexpectedly, they also have liquor/wine, but I got kind of a hairy eyeball the last time I ordered a cocktail. Serious beer drinkers only, please! As for the cons, there have been a handful of times where I’ve walked in and walked out in a matter of seconds, because it’s too crowded to even get to the bar. I’ve also never had a pleasant bathroom experience there… I can’t say I blame the staff, because I’m sure it’s hard to keep up with a huge volume of customers using just one lavatory. However, the«facility» is often unclean and comes with a long wait time — an unfortunate logistical problem. Half Pint has some great qualities; all the basics of a great bar are there. Glad to see the place thriving after just a few years in business.

A really cool place to go in the summer! It’s outdoor seating adds to the city like atmosphere. Beer is typically what you get, but they do have other drinks. If you want to grab a drink and actually be able to carry on a conversation with someone, this is the place to be.

This is a nice little place in the heart of Park Avenue, one of Rochester’s most walkable and picturesque neighborhoods. The primary strip of merchants runs between Goodman Street and Somerton and Half Pint is closer to Goodman. The place is named for half pint sized glasses that allow you to try more beers but don’t worry you can get full sized glasses too. The beer selection often boasts a plethora of great regional beers. The venue is small but always fun!

Could be the fact I came on a Saturday night, but I just wasn’t feeling the love for this place. So ridiculously loud, with a very fratty vibe even though many of the patrons seemed to be mid-twenties+. There was a baseball game on and a huge gaggle of people gathered around the TV area chanting and dancing with the music. I have nothing against a good sports bar, but this place isn’t aiming to be a sports bar and was just pure chaos. Card accepted for $ 10 and above. You can get two half pints for the price of one pint and thus try more varieties of beer.

Great little pub. And I do emphasize that it is little. Great outdoor seating. Prices are standard park ave prices. The clientele is mostly park ave princesses and bros. You can order food from mozzeroni’s across the street which is just ok food but its better than nothing. The only negatives and the reason this bar gets 4 stars rather than 5 is that there’s only one single use bathroom and the place closes at 10:30 outdoor because of the noise ordinance. Its annoying I give it 4 stars because of things they can’t control but its the only thing from making it a perfect 5 star bar.

Wonderful place for a drink on the avenue on a beautiful spring day. I love this place. Lots of seating out front of the beautiful little half pint pub. Customers and employees are all great. You can get a pint or two half pints, mix and match. Hell, I might go back today!

Such a cool little pub, very interesting concept that you can get two half pints. Great outdoor seating to people watch, great tv’s to watch the game. Prices are not out of line with any other park ave places. They now have food from across the street also. Perfect summer spot
