Mighty Taco is definitely different from Taco Bell. You get to choose the heat level of your meat. I had medium which was a very mild medium. Will try the hot next time. They forgot the cheese on my tacos which is the only reason it didn’t get 4 stars. Bathroom was clean as was the restaurant itself. I know a lot of people from Buffalo live and die by Mighty Taco. I mean it was good, but it’s just a taco. Nothing overly special.

Seriously just go to tacobell. This place is over price and they charge for refills. All the food is rather bland and there’s really nothing noteworthy about the menu.

it’s quality is alright. The food always arrives fast when I dine in the restaurant. It’s location is not bad if you go to that karaōke bar and want a taco while there. it’s within walking distance. The price for the food isn’t too bad either. I just don’t ever find myself craving this food like I crave taco bell or other food that’s similar to what’s served here.

Well… after reading this review, you won’t be coming here either. I had not eaten here in probably over 25 years. I had a little extra time and decided to stop. My appetite was almost immediately over after I found a nice, big, black piece of hair. Picture attached.

Not that bad. Went here because they were the only place open in the area and were were really hungry. The cashier was very friendly and good at his job. The food ordered was put together very fast. I wasn’t expecting much considering the prices so I don’t know why other people who reviewed were shocked about what they got. You get what you pay for. It was pretty okay though. We got 7 different items and the total was about $ 20.Not bad. Would I come again? Probably not. But I would recommend this place if you are starving and desperate for food.

After reading some of the reviews, people set their expectations way too high before going here and don’t fully understand just what Mighty Taco is. 1. Mighty ISNOT Mexican food. 2. Mighty IS terrible, yet delicious food. It truly is a thing of beauty, one of natures true oxymorons. The«feels so wrong, it’s right» expression comes to mind. 3. Mighty Taco doesn’t market themselves as «great, high quality, gourmet, delicious Tex-mex». They barely market themselves at all. They owe you nothing. You have no right to be angry at the sloppy, greasy, cylindrical, cheesy mess you just shoved down your gullet. It’s Mighty. Now that you know what you’re getting into, this place is fantastic. They may not have all the wacky concoctions like Taco Bell, but every bite of Mighty is a flavor bomb going off in your mouth. As people have mentioned, yes, the tacos are bland. Everything else on the menu is not. I have eaten at Mighty an otherworldly amount of times, and have whittled their menu down to the 3 best items: Overall Best: 3 Cheese Beef Burrito. Imagine Michael Buble as a food, singing to your tongue. Gotta Try: Nacho Buffito. Buffalo chicken burrito with nacho cheese. What a time to be alive. The Classic: The Super Mighty(with sour cream). Tried and true. Now get off your high horse and enjoy some terrible food.

I picked up a beef, a chicken and a pulled pork yesterday for lunch with a bowl of rice. The rice had an odd flavor but the texture was very good. I could not tell the difference between the pork the beef and the chicken. The pulled pork would have been better without the gross cole slaw. This place is a big miss. Go to Taco Bell.

Food was gross and flavorless. Ate outside and the seagulls wouldn’t even eat it! Should have known the food wouldn’t be good considering there was NOONE there at 5:00 pm but me.

I stopped in Mighty Taco after getting off a long flight to Rochester because most everything else was closed. Not knowing the connection with Buffalo and the strange food names on the menu. I purchase two items, which I can’t remember the names. I ate one & threw one in the trash. My daughter said that most of the Students at RIT don’t go there, after we were driving to my hotel. I will recommend going to Taco Bell instead of the place.

I think I get it now. After coming up with Buffalo wings, this was Buffalo’s next best thing… yea really, so I understand why the natives take it personally if you go to a tacobell in buffalo. BUT that’s about it. I went and tried this place after hearing all the hype. Tell you what the only mighty thing about this place is the mighty dump I took right after eating this garbage, excellent cure for constipation. I completely understand that any fast food pretentious taco joint in US isn’t meant to be authentic but at least have the decency to served me fully cooked meat with at least a hint of pepper or salt. I promise you that everything at this place has ZERO flavor in it. Even Mcds nuclear cheese has better taste to it than this.

I heard this place was supposed to be incredible. I was sorely disappointed. If I want to go out for cheap Mexican ever again, I won’t be going here. Their burritos are bland and sloppy, even for fast food standards. I went the first time, figured I had a bad experience given the downtrodden staff or something, and gave it a second chance. The food was still awful, the staff still disgruntled at their stations in life. I’ve never been back. The only thing this place has going for them is the Loganberry juice, and I’d much rather buy it at a store than give them patronage for it.

It’s American fast food tacos. Not gourmet, not like your abuela makes. Good when you’re a college kid, drunk, hungover, or hate the other taco joint in town. I love Mighty Taco. Always tasty. Always know what to expect. And Loganberry. Boom.

Tacos are ok but i am miffed by the Buffalo NY popularity. Are they just clueless to anything else? Nachos cold room temp in a plastic bag??? Did i just hit 7 – 11? Taco bells nachos & cheese destroy this place lol. Luv welcone to Moes way better too. I dont get it & im betting the place is closed in rochester this time next year or sooner…

Which they do have good food, mighty buffito is my choice, the fact that you have to pay extra for toppings isn’t my cup of tea. I don’t understand this, why not just make it all included instead of having the employees offering the toppings as if they are already on it, only to get the receipt seeing they cost extra for lettuce. Taco Bell for me here on out.

One word«AWFUL» Avoid going there at all costs. Most of the food have a taste of frozen food, something I can pick up from walmart frozen section, it’s quite disgusting. I’ve never been to the one in buffalo but after my experience to this one, I won’t step foot into another mighty taco.

Service was crap here. The girl at the counter had no interest in what I was telling her I wanted, which was a rather large order for my family. We got it to go and when we got home, nothing was right except the nachos and cheese sauce and the veggie burrito. We originally ordered a taco salad and and the family pack of burritos and one veggie burrito on the side. When we got home and opened everything up, he veggie burrito to was there but the family pack burritos we ordered were tacos and the taco salad was nachos. We called the establishment to let them know. They offered to help us if we bring everything back. But we live in North Greece and wasn’t worth it to come all the way back out to Henrietta. I feel like after a screw up like that they should have helped us out a little more. When I worked in fast food if someone had an issue with their order we used to take their name and number and put it on a bulletin board in the back and told them then had 30 days and they can come back for their credit. I know they have their policies being a chain restaurant but I was really not pleased with the person who was taking our order. She could have at least acted like she wanted to be there or wanted to help. Instead she brushed us off, didn’t care and screwed up most of the order, resulting in me giving 2 stars. And the 2 stars are because the food that they did get right was good and the manager we spoke with on the phone would be willing to help us if we came back. He could have said to screw off.

I’ve been told eating at Mighty Taco is a rite of passage when you live in Rochester. From what I hear, when it first opened, there were lines around the restaurant to get in(what’s wrong with you Rochester?!). When I went, a few of us had just run a race and we were looking for something cheap and easy afterward. I went with the namesake and had the Mighty Tacos with hot sauce. It was your typical flour tortilla, iceberg lettuce, a sprinkling of tomatoes, and beef that was probably seasoned with an Ortega seasoning packet. Was it bad? No. Was it good? Well, I thought it was better than taco bell, but don’t plan to make this your go-to Mexican restaurant. The food works for the price so I will probably come back the next time I’m super hungry and don’t have much in my wallet. As a side note, I found it a bit concerning that shredded chicken is the cheapest option below the pork and beef. In what world did chicken become cheaper than ground beef!!!

I love a «gringo» taco, crispy corn tortilla, barely seasoned beef, spicy salsa, lettuce and tomato! Sometimes I get it a hankering for one. Since I don’t really get them that hankering often, I rarely have the ingredients at home, like corn tortillas and taco mix, or iceberg lettuce. So far, in Rochester, this is the place that takes care of that craving. It’s not perfect, they need to work on the cheese. But if you ask for extra hot sauce, it’s not bad for a crispy tortilla shell and ground beef American dish. I find this place a step above Taco Bell, and their tacos are better executed than even more local places. They also have Loganberry in their drink selection, so they get extra points for that.

I always round up, which is why it’s getting a 2… Honestly… it’s a 1.5 So… I’ve eaten here several times, it’s cheap, and better than taco bell. That’s not saying much however. First off my expectations were HIGH. The mighty taco’s in Buffalo were an easy 3⁄5(which is about as high as I’d rate any fast food place, so that’s saying a lot), This fell drastically short. The food is mediocre at best. The staff honestly don’t care about their jobs. Most seem rude, rushing, want you to hurry up and leave so they can get back to what I can only imagine is texting or something, what the hell else is there to do at a fast food joint that you want to rush people out for? The restaurant itself is filthy more times than not. One time I went there and there was ONE guy in the place eating, not exactly busy, yet just about every table had bits of lettuce, cheese sauce, or unknown-meat crumbles left on it. Pros — +Cheap +Tacos(Or something close enough) Cons — –Not tacos(Just close enough) –Filthy UPONWRITINGTHIS I REMEMBERANADVENTURE! And therefore am lowering it to a 0.5! So one day, my friend and I wanted tacos. But not having enough cash on us for a decent mexican place like Meriachis a few doors down, we decided to be cheap and hit up the Mighty Taco. It seemed like an okay plan, at least… Until you realize that since the staff don’t really care about their jobs, they probably don’t care much about meat timers either. We spent the next day comparing which one of us more closely resembled the chick from the exorcist with our projectile vomiting. Our food poisoning lasted roughly 2 days. And it wasn’t pleasant at all. When I called to complain I was put on hold for about 10 minutes before I gave up and hung up.(By the way, all I said was«Yes, Hi, I was wondering if there is a manager available to talk to?», which was replied back to with«Yep, can you wait a moment?», generally a moment isn’t 10 minutes, but whatever)

Mighty Taco tastes different when you are sober. I remember it being amazing after the bars in Buffalo when visiting friends. I always get 3MIGHTYTACOS, medium, hardshell beef. I recently have noticed they put AMERICANCHEESE on thier tacos! Never noticed this before. Kinda gross. The service at the Henrietta is hanus. A whole bunch of lazy high schoolers and college kids just moping around. I’m never greeted or thanked. I typically have to report my order 3 times for them to understand(I would like 3 mighty tacos, hard shell, beef, medium… They never understand that the first time… I speak slowly to help them comprehend, it fails each time). I do love thier STRIPCHIPS and hot cheese! Chips are salty and cheese is so flavorful and hot in temperature! I’ve tried the burritos or buffitos. Not impressed for the price. Too expensive and not very good. Small portion. *****Oh and don’t try the ground chicken! Its grubby and gray in color. Oh gross dude. Why is chicken gray? #unsettlingdiscovery Final recap: Mighty Taco is great when you are bombed, just ok/semi-terrible when sober. Have your employees shower, smile and get off thier cell phones(tweeting and probably sexting)… Service will excel 1000%! Mighty Taco Henrietta gets 2 stars. You are probably better off RUNNINGFORTHEBORDER! ;0)
