I ordered a calzone from here and oh boy was that a mistake. I paid actual money for a half baked raw dough on the inside calzone. I hate leaving bad reviews but I am shocked that I paid for food that I had to re cook to make it edible.

Great customer service but this pizza is just not good. Doesn’t even taste like Pontillos pizza.

Have only tried the buffalo chicken specialty pizza, but it was dang good. Heard that the original cheese is a must as well, will add that to try next time around.

I enjoyed this place so much, but since they took themselves off grub hub since I am deaf I wont be ordering from them anymore cause online ordering is what this generation does today. until they bring back up online ordering i wont be eating there ever again sad to see it go.

I very rarely get«angry» at businesses or use Unilocal to malign establishments because I’ve worked in restaurants and know how hard it is to please people sometimes. But this Pontillos delivered the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a long time and it warrants a public complaint simply so that others don’t have to go through this. We called two different Pontillos to pre-order Superbowl pizza. Both branches had employees that were totally unfamiliar with the specials advertised online. The Alexander St location was unwilling to honor the special. The Mt Hope location was, and they said they would deliver on the night of the Superbowl at 7pm. Fast forward to 36 hours later, five hours before our Superbowl party. Pontillos calls us saying, «Sorry, we can’t deliver to you.» When we argued that we had ordered the pizza for delivery more than 24 hours in advance and that it was already confirmed for delivery, a fairly rude employee with an edge of «I don’t really care» in his voice said, «sorry, I dont know what to tell you, it’s the busiest day of the year, I can’t help you.» Yeah, moron, that’s why we had the foresight and courtesy to call in advance — so if there were problems we would KNOW. We wouldn’t have ordered the pizza if we knew this. Now we’re kinda stuck. Terrible terrible customer service. By the way, never tell the customer«I can’t help you» and leave it at that without apologizing or offering something to make up for it. It’s a surefire way of turning customers away. Big fail, Pontillos.

Definitely a pizza place I missed when I left Rochester, Pontillo’s is a great local chain. I returned recently and had a mushroom pizza and there was an abundance of cheese, but at the same time, wasn’t too much to make the pizza too heavy. The wings aren’t the biggest, but for a fast food place, they’re pretty good. They’re well-fried and the sauce is decent. The service is generally pretty good and the people are usually friendly. The guy at the counter was surprised that someone out-of-town knew of this place. Since there are a ton of locations around the Rochacha area, I don’t think I can say it’s a hidden jewel. :-P For the price and promptness of the food, Pontillo’s is a great place for pizza & wings.
