The food is good considering that it’s a pub, I never sit at a table, I usually come here for the chili, and the service used to be OK but, lately there is an older lady at the bar. Her services and personal skills are the worst. She should not be allowed to be front of the house. In the time I was here 2 people left do to here poor service and attitude.

Overall experience? So-so. Upon arrival, my father and I were waiting to be seated. We waited there a good minute for the hostess when she was actually just hanging out by the bar. There werent really any customers in the restaurant either. Our waiter was decent though. Kind of a quiet guy, but he got the job done. Food was pretty good(I got the juicy ribeye) but it felt like a century before it actually came out. Definitely wouldn’t want to come here on a busy night that’s for sure. When we left we weren’t greeted the typical«have a good night» because the hostess was chilling by the bar again. The place just didn’t give me any good vibes.

Have gone here a few times, it’s a pub so the reviews that claim the food isn’t good well, it’s a pub. For the price it’s good food, portions are good and wait staff is nice. My husband and I did the 2 dinners and 1 bottle of wine for 29.99 last night, we were both happy and even bought a dessert. Can’t beat walking out the door for 45 bucks, full & happy!

The food and the service were awesome. My wife and I had the Balsamic Steak. I had it with mashed potatoes and she had it with french fries. Both steaks where cooked to the exact order. For a small place in a mall the food here was really good. I would eat here again.

My lady and I visited Muldoon’s last night(12⁄21) at 9:30pm after doing a little XMAS shopping. We were sat at 9:30 and by 9:45 no one came to greet us and take our drink orders. The place wasn’t even busy. There were two or three servers hanging out near the front and I attempted to make eye contact a few times. I could’ve gotten up and walked over to them and asked them for service, but really that’s not my job… We decided to leave because it was getting late and I assumed if we were getting this kind of service from the beginning, who knows how long it would take to get our food. It may have been the end of the evening for them… Maybe they were closing… But they shouldn’t have sat us and wasted 20 – 30 minutes of our time. PS the menu looked great and I was really looking forward to that chili and a beer after shopping for hours. Oh well…

Another place I frequent on a regular basis. Great Irish pub. I always feel at home here staff knows me as always friendly. Let’s talk about that burgers. For $ 8.95 you get a huge delicious burger with mushrooms and onions. Very good rolls and buns. They also give you a big potato. Great food great value. Seafood fiesta is another special we love. My only thing is for $ 24 that should give you some vegetables with a seafood dish rather than charge you additional for theplate of vegetables.

The food here is usually very good however the service leaves a lot to be desired especially if you have children. If you dare enter their restaurant with kids they seat you off in the back corner by yourself as if you have some sort of disease. This has happened to us multiple times here. Our last experience they brought our kids’ food out a full 10 minutes before ours without even asking and then the waitress took my daughter’s plate from her before she was done. When my daughter got upset and we told her she just shrugged her shoulders and handed us our check. The manager showed absolutely no interest in what we had to say as well.

over-priced glass of white wine is $ 7 which is insane. I originally wanted the taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich on the menu. I asked the waiter if the egg can be scrambled instead of fried. The waiter asked the kitchen and they said NO, which I find very strange. So I ordered a BLT instead for $ 8 which is ALSO over priced. Total for lunch was $ 15.50(not including tip) for a BLT and a glass of wine. Not worth it. I won’t be going back any time soon.

I must say a restaurant inside the mall doesn’t start with the best reputation. My boyfriend was a little hesitate to try this place out and so was I. Before coming I’ve only heard good things about the place so I figured it was a nice place to try. We had a very pleasant experience. I ordered steak salad and he had the chicken Ramano sandwich both were delicious. The service was good and prices extremely reasonable. I must say this place changed my opinions of mall restaurants might just have to try some others.

Muldoon’s is located inside the mall. It’s connected to Macy’s. We were on our way to a different restaurant when we were told it would be 1.5 hour wait. Since we needed to catch a movie as well we called ahead to here and they said«No wait». That was red flag #1. So we met another couple who were already seated(which we realized after) and the host(ess) was no where to be found. Once we located our friends, we sat down in the back. Muldoon’s needs an update. It was dark and just had that feel of dinginess. The bar area was small(sitting at actual bar) but there were small tables around it. Fully stocked. Apps: Onion rings(which they forgot to place the order for us so we scored a comp order at entrée time) and pierogi’s(sauteed with onions and bacon) were actually the best part of the meal. They give you only 5. Entrée: The wife had a wilted lettuce Muldoon salad. Very disappointing. I had a bacon cheeseburger which was disappointing as well. The fries were very good. The burger had a metallic taste to it. It was cooked correctly but everything else was a fail. Service: Good. Refilled our drinks promptly but were quick on the draw a couple of times on taking plates away. We weren’t finished with our meals and they nearly took our plates 2x. Prices: Average. Odds of coming back: Slim. They have a lot of work to do. Improve the food and location and maybe we will be back.

For a restaurant located in a Macy’s the food is amazingly good. They have another location which is also excellent. The service is quite good at this location as well.

Don’t bother… never got our meal. Service was terrible. Plenty of better choices in the area… pick any of them and save yourself the trouble.

Been here plenty of times in the past, food was always good. Visited here tonight, and was extremely disappointed. Service was disappointing, never even asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. French Onion soup was just ok, lacking a bit of flavor although the croûton was the highlight. Muldoon sampler had very good«fall off the bone» ribs, accompanied by an extremely bland fatty steak. The best part of the meal was the Black and Tan! I will not be returning.

Dirty. Expensive. Poor food. Last visit the cooks forgot to put any of the dressing on our wraps and salads. Found a 6″ hair in my wrap and got everyone at our table lost their taste for this place. Lots of other places to go unless you feel overwelming need to overpay for tastless food in a dirty and cliché’ hole in the wall restaurant in the basement of Macy’s. This was our second try for this restaurant, and won’t be back again.

If your girlfriend or wife dragged you to the mall to do some shopping, you can slip into Muldoon’s for a quick beer! I don’t think anything is special about the food here other than it’s certainly a step up from eating in the McDonalds or the Food Court of the Mall. One nuisance is that they don’t have a bathroom in Muldoon’s. You literally have to walk out of the restaurant to the other side of the corridor it’s located at and use the Macy’s bathroom. The best part about Muldoon’s and the reason I give it 3 stars is because it is a good place(I think the only place in the Rockaway Mall) to get a drink when you take a break from shopping. The bar also has fun trivia always running on a couple of monitors and I would imagine trivia nights and karaōke too.

For starters the location takes away from what it’s potential could be. On the other hand it may draw in extras during shopping seasons. Yes, the service is on the slower side, but was still friendly and thorough. Got seated right away when Red Robin wanted 45 min to an hour to seat a two top. The atmosphere is plain, but old world tavern feeling with exposed beams and such. You’re not walking into an Irish TGIFridays here. More TVs on the walls than anything. The smell was great we thought. Smells like a steakhouse should. The food was excellent. You need to get the specials. The wife got a turkey burger and yes it looked average at best, but she orders them a lot and I have seen much worse elsewhere. I on the other hand got the Prime Rib special. Size was above average on the portions. Salad was real fresh and crisp. The steak itself was the best I have eaten in many years. We go out all the time, and for the price right on for what we got. That said, the price is a dollar or two higher than some other establishments, but if the rest of the meals are like mine was I would not mind paying the difference. Lets face it you are not going to get a decent dinner with salad for under $ 20 too many places. That is unless you want to be asked what what size drink you want.

Just about average for another«Irish Pub» concept buried on the bottom floor of Macy’s. The prices were shockingly high for the type of fare offered. So, be prepared. We went for the fool-proof turkey burger with fries. Clearly a frozen patty, frozen clear coated fries… but cooked fine. The service was attentive and polite. There is no indication of any Irish fare here, BTW. We won’t come back here mainly because we’re rarely in the area.

Great place quietly tucked in the back of Macy’s. For a long time this has been the only option to have a drink and eat something beyond typical fast food. During the busy holiday season there are not as many people so it is easier to get a table than other places the mall.

Not bad food, terrible service by inexperienced and young wait staff. Save your money and visit the Quiet Man in Cover.
