Came here during the middle of the day when they are listed and posted as open… And they were closed. LAME.

I use to go to this place all the time and I enjoyed it. But the lady at the counter has become unbearable and uncaring of returning customers. They treated me so nasty and I always come in, leave a tip, and treat them courteously. I’d advise you stay miles away from this place and try another. They don’t care about customers whatsoever! I am surprised these place even exists. They are lucky the lowest star I can give them is one because if I could it would be zero. These people are the rudest, and nastiest for no apparent reason. This place deserves to be closed.

We go here pretty often and the food is always good. They could be a bit friendlier with their guests.

My husband is a Mongolian BBQ connoisseur so if there’s a Mongolian BBQ in the area we have probably tried it. We recently moved to Rocklin and drive by this place daily, often saying«hey, we should try that place,» probably daily. We finally gave this place a shot last week and we weren’t impressed. We came in post lunch rush, I’d assume, because the place was practically empty. The restaurant is pretty decent in size and clean, which is some of the positives. The price is very affordable which is another positive; it was around 16 $ for lunch for two. Some not so great things are that the variety of stuff/veggies/meats/toppings are not very ample. I like a variety of things in my bowl and I felt limited. They did have tofu, which I love, so that’s a plus. Second not so great thing is that the guy cooking on the giant BBQ only did one spin on the BBQ, making me question whether my goods were indeed cooked and also leaving my noodle bowl more of a soup bowl. Also, we sat and ate half of our bowl before the server brought over the rice & won tons, which may I remind you the place was empty. I don’t care so much about the rice but my husband needs it so he wasn’t pleased to wait so long. Also, I absolutely hate a strict no doggy bag policy. I feel like if you only get one bowl they should be alright with a doggy bag, since that food is being thrown away soooo… But I know some places are very strict and this is one. I never eat a whole bowl and I just want my sad leftovers to come home with me and not be wasted. I get the policy if someone is making more than one trip around, but oh well. Maybe we will give it another shot, maybe not. Sometimes you get a bad vibe from a place and this was one of those instances.

Crazy old b*tch kicked me out because I wasn’t going to eat. I needed to throw something away and didn’t want to litter, she goes up to me and kicks me out, I wasn’t doing anything bad or threatening –_– one star because employees are assholes, the food tastes like shit. DONOTFUCKINGCOMEHERE and plus I am sick now from the food since the won-tons were stale

I use to like this place. But they’ve become stingy and greedy. My girlfriend took two bites out of her bowl and they refused to give her a box. That is such a waste of food and you’re not even getting what you pay for. They couldn’t have the decency to let one slide. It would’ve been different if she ate more but Fuck it im not coming back to this place

This is the best Mongolian BBQ we have found around Sacramento and we’ve been to multiple. The service was great, very fresh food and very clean! We will definitely be returning to this restaurant soon!

Highly recommend!!! I don’t eat meat and I did not feel at all deprived, there are so many fresh wonderful veggies that my bowl was spilling all over the place. Also the chef cooked my tofu to perfection. I often get debilitating stomach aches when I eat Mongolian barbecue and buffets where food is sitting out, but I didn’t here, so I know that the veggies were fresh and without preservatives! The sauce was delicious and tasted homemade and not watery at all, and it’s pretty simple that if you want more flavor just add more sauce, the water will evaporate on the grill and all the spices will stay! The appetizers were good but I just let my dad eat them because I wanted to have as much room as possible for the amazing noodles. The prices are of course amazing! I wish any restaurants in Palo Alto were such a good deal. I’m so glad that I stopped here on my way home to Tahoe from school, I’m definitely going to stop by every time I make the drive. Thanks and see you soon, Mongolian BBQ!

Ive been to other Mongolian barbecues and they’ve been better to this place, it seems that the only employees they have is an old lady and 1 cook ive never seen anyone else and thats not fair to the establishment. It was kindve generic what they had meat and different oils that were kindve blan and the old lady is always on you so that you dont do anything they dont want you to do. The place will be empty on a friday. I wouldnt visit this place often

Great place, plenty of seating and parking. The staff was extremely kind but it’s very family style so if you are looking for professional tip demanding servers you will be disappointed. The tables were squeaky clean as was the entire restaurant including the food areas. The food was very fresh and lots to choose from. The vegetables were uniformly cut so they all cooked evenly. The chef was great, nothing burned in my meal, nothing was tough from poor grill techniques. We really enjoyed it. For those knocking this restaurant for bland food, did you fail to remember YOU seasoned your food, not them. I cant see how you can blame the staff for your failure, ridiculous. For those knocking this restaurant for watered down sauces, I completely disagree with you. If you are looking for the bottled preservative laden sauces, you won’t find it here. I agree you won’t find 40 different commercial sauces but what you do have to choose from is good quality. I used the cooking wine, ginger, sugar water and the sesame oil. I added the pineapple right before handing it to the chef and I added the fresh ginger after receiving my hot cooked bowl. I loved every well seasoned bite as did my toddler. Our meals were great and well seasoned. I loved the vegetable rice, the egg drop soup and appetizers. Family of 3 ate very well and left stuffed for under $ 22.

The food is so bland and the customer service is bad. I went there with my co worker to get some food to go and after we got back to work I tried my noodles and they were tasteless. I drove back there to get some more sauce and it didn’t help at all. I think they water down there sauce I’m not sure but I normally love Mongolian bbq but this place just didn’t cut it for me. I will never go back.

Place is clean, plenty of seating and parking. Vegetables are fresh. But, it’s obvious that they water down their sauces. My husband and I load our bowls with sauce, and even with doing that, the food was bland. The soup was horrible. Wontons stale. Egg rolls were ok. They definitely take pride in the cleanliness of their restaurant, I just wish they would take more pride in the food! Won’t be back.

2nd time here, first time they had only been open a couple of weeks, food was bland, soup actually cold, wontons stale, customer service was extremely lacking bordering on rude. Yes I know we put on our own spices. But seemed watered down, I eat at Mongolian BBQs quite regularly so am very familiar with procedures. There were only a few patrons at lunch hour. My second visit many months later. Almost exactly the same. Food was still bland and I added twice my usual spices. Soup was Luke warm at best. Wonton were stale. Walked in cook said sit anywhere, put down my jacket keys etc. And went to make my food, when I got back waitress pointed to another table where she sat out water and soup and said you must eat over there. Still very few patrons, know idea how place has survived this long. So many better places to eat. It is a pretty clean place, food looked fresh. So if you don’t like any kind of spicy food this place is for you. Or below average service.

I’ll probably come back, but I wouldn’t go out of my way. We came here on a weekday night and were seated promptly. They start you out with the normal Mongolian BBQ appetisers, and everything was decent, though the rice seemed a little past its prime, almost stale. On the plus side, my girlfriend really liked the dough cookie thingie. As far as the main course, decent noodles, veggies seemed pretty fresh, and meat was average. The flavoring seems a little watered down; I tried my hardest to make it spicy and just couldn’t. Meh. Lunch is single serving, dinner is all you can eat(no doggie bags!).

The meat and veggie selection is great. Could stand to have more spice selections. However the soup was bland, dough cookie was odd, and crispy won tons apps were stale. We were the only people(2 adults, 2 kids) in the place on a Friday night. Disappointed. Maybe location has something to do with low patronage.

Went here for the first time last night and was nervous about trying somewhere new. When we pulled into the parking lot there were no other vehicles but we still took a chance. I am happy to say that we were pleasantly surprised. All items were stocked, everything looked fresh and the older gentleman and lady were kind. We filled our bowls with meat, noodles, veggies, sauce and had a delightful meal. They also served soup and a bowl of rice with our dinner. I would say this was probably the cleanest Mongolian BBQ that I have ever been at. We will definitely return again. Dinner was $ 9.25 per person 9yrs and up.

Now my favorite mongolian place is in Auburn, but since this place is near my house I thought I would give it a try. I thought«heck, all mongolian food must taste the same if your making it right!?» WRONG!!! I did everything I would do at my favorite place and the food tasted extremely bland, even with a bunch of the sauces and garlic! Idk if their noodles don’t absorb the flavor or what, but it was extremely unappetizing. The soup they gave us tasted like water and the tempura chips(?) were stale instead of crispy. The only reason I give them 2 stars is because the place was very clean, friendly, and their beef wasn’t as chewy as other places I’ve been. I still won’t be coming back though…

I have eaten at every Mongolian in the area and was very impressed by this new gem in Rocklin! Enough to say it is the best! Lots of variety of items, sauces that were not watered down, fresh tofu, peanuts, sesame seeds, chili paste and garlic, what more could you want. OHAND, I swear the meats tasted fresher than any other place I have been to. Perhaps I was just really in the mood, I will follow up with an update after visiting again but until then I have to highly recommend the food at this BBQ. And AUCE dinner for $ 9.95… that is a great deal! The service was attentive but not friendly… but hey, that is typical of the BBQ I have been to so no stars marked down for it! YUM! PS — everything was fresh! The wotons were crispy and hot, soup was hot(didn’t try the biscuit) and even the fortune cookies were the unwrapped type and totally fresh!
