Wags To Riches

Received a message from the owner and she apologized for the incident. She even offered to take care of our vet bill! We are not looking for compensation, but a «i’m sorry» goes a long way. Thank you for righting a wrong, wags!

My Shih Tzu always looks like a champ when he returns from Wags to Riches. I love that the grooming and kennel areas are not hidden behind closed doors. This place has no secrets! :)

We have a mini schnauzer and have taken him here for years… love them and their attitudes. Always a positive experience and so thankful they take care of our family… our little schnauzer has sizeures but we never worry about him in their care! Thanks Wags to Riches for providing excellent care!

I just got a dog whose human mom passed away. The dog is going through a lot of adjustments. So I asked if I could stay with her and they told me I could wait in the lobby and that it would be 4 hours. I also asked how long she would be in the crates and they said in between tasks like the 2 soakings, cut, etc. I just couldn’t let this little dog go through all that. I now have a groomer who lets me stay and watch. I’m learning how to care for this type of dog. No waiting in crates. I mean really, when I get a haircut I don’t wait in a crate while others are being tended to. I hope they can hear this as constructive feedback.

My beautiful Persian got her second trip to the spa (Wags to Riches) last Saturday. This time, the groomer said she would take her right away so I asked if I could just stay, and they said definitely. I was astounded how mellow she was as she is basically a cat that will only allow someone she knows too hold her for a very short period of time before she is off on her next adventure. She laid on the table and seemed to love being clipped to her lioness cut once again. Even more surprising is there were several dogs waiting to be picked up or groomed and she has never been around dogs. The atmosphere, the professionalism of her groomer was fantastic and she looked beautiful and ready for these hot summer days when we left. Just an awesome grooming service and groomers that will even take cats as clients are very limited. Definitely will be going back to WTR over and over.

Two weeks to get an appointment? Meh, me thinks not… I brought my dog in here for a 1^st visit and got in right away. Tried to call for appt #2 and was told they book out 2wks in advance. Is this a doctor’s office? They did a fine job grooming, but nothing remarkable to share.

The same thing that happened to Lukas happened to us as well! It was an awful experience, it was so refreshing to go somewhere else. There are really nice groomers out there unfortunately wags to riches is not one of them. I am a big time animal lover and they always come first!! b

Had to comment about this fantastic place! We have been taking our dog Kuno (mini schnauzer) here for a couple years now and couldn’t be more satisfied! We were just in there last week and cannot say enough good things! We went to many groomers before and our pup came back with hurt paws and now we can’t touch them plus bad haircuts… Wags to Riches has saved us! ! Our dog LOVES his groomer, they are nice each and every time we go in there and they continue to be lifesavers treating and grooming our dog exactly how he should be treated! Thank you so much for all you do… now we can take our pup there and know he is in good hands! And they are able to touch his paws… the only ones :)

I have a little Yorkie and a Cairn Terrier… when we moved from Auburn to Rocklin, I had to find a pet grooming place! After several disappointing visits to Petco, I decided it was time to find a «real place.» Many times at Petco, my dogs would come back looking absolutely horrifying… they’d cut my Cairn’s hair into a Scotty cut, etc.
I booked an appointment for Piper, my Yorkie, and had to wait 2 weeks for her appointment… which was cutting it. She looked pretty scruffy! Piper’s personality is super outgoing, friendly, she’s my little «social butterfly» but compared to her going to Petco (where she suddenly was hesitant and nervous, shaky, etc) and Wags to Riches, she was so happy! She was prancing around and I could feel that she felt comfortable and happy there, which made me feel confident in leaving her there. Katie is the woman who cuts Pipers hair and I’ve been so satisfied and happy each time. The staff has been communicative, friendly and professional. I’ve taken Piper there about 3 – 4 times and each time, Piper looks just adorable. I’ve also taken Lucy, my Cairn, there about twice (her hair doesn’t grow as fast as Piper’s which results in fewer visits) and they do a perfect job on her cut too. They both have always looked great! I love that they also take the dogs out for a potty-​break, too.
My only complaints are that they are usually booked for a few weeks & a little pricey. Piper and Lucy are both $ 55 (9lb & 18 lb dogs). With tip, a visit to Wags to Riches ends up to be about $ 130. Ouch.

I have taken my cat here twice now and have been very pleased both times. The first time we just had them cut out the mats, so he looked pretty funky, but they did what we asked and I’m sure our cat felt better so I can’t complain. Today we had them do the lion cut because this short haired cat mats up like no other short hair cat I’ve ever seen! I love this cut on him! He does look pretty funny, but in a cute way and I know he feels SOOOOO much better because he actually wants me to pet his back again.
Now let me tell you about this cat. He’s kinda crazy, plain and simple. I tried cutting his mats out myself and he would try to bite or scratch me, hence why I had to find a groomer. I was scared for them. The first time they did it while I waited so I got to see and WOW, he actually let them do it! No one got attacked, I was shocked, lol! I didn’t get to see the second time because this was a longer process, so we went had had breakfast while they did their job. Charlie, my cat, never seems stressed when I pick him up and bring him home. He’s actually in a good mood when I bring him home, which is always nice.
The business is clean. All the animals I see in there look like their happy. The customer service is great. I always get in on the same day I call. I am very happy with this place and I highly recommend them.

Great groomers, the work is not only great but consistent every time. Our dogs love going. We love the people and they ALWAYS treat our dogs (kids to us) wonderfully.

We take our pooch here and are very satisfied with the level of service they provide. I only gave them 4 out of 5 because:
1. They are always booked
2. They are a little expensive.
The quality and level of service make up for both complaints.

Wags does a great job with our mini-​poodle. It is a little pricier than our last groomer and they are in demand (usually appts are more than a week out), but they do a very good job grooming. Some cuts have been better than others, but overall they have all been good. They also get points for being the only place in Rocklin to carry Canidae dog food.

After I adopted my Westie, Milo, from the Placer SPCA, I decided that I was going to take him to a groomer. I would’ve rather done it myself, but I have no experience in bathing or grooming dogs. Not to mention that Milo had some pretty painful-​looking mats in his fur. The shelter recommended this place because Wags to Riches uses all-​natural shampoos and conditioners. So I called up the shop, and you need an appointment because they are very busy. The price quoted to me was $ 52, but more if there were mats. The price was a little steep for me (thinking it would cost me more cause of Milo’s mats), but I scheduled an appt anyway.
Milo’s grooming session took them 3 hours — I was expecting to just wait at the store, but I guess grooming takes a while. When I came back to pick up Milo, he looked so handsome and so clean! While before his fur was matted and not-​quite-​Westie-​white, after his fur was so soft, shiny, and white! They did a really amazing job on him. They even gave him a cute little bow on his collar. And I ended up paying less than what they quoted me on the phone!
