I also had a bad experience with Niemann Perry Salon. It was a couple years ago, I had an appointment for a hair cut and blow out. I arrived and stood at the counter a full minute waiting on the teenage girl behind the counter to finish her texting and speak to me. She never looked up at all, not even after I gave up and sat down. I waited almost 20 minutes with no acknowledgement until a girl came up front asking where her 3 o’clock was. Now, it’s not like they were busy, I was the only person in there besides the girl cutting my hair and 2 other employees that were giving eachother pedi’s. I was miffed at being ignored but I went with her anyway. She didn’t say hello, kiss my foot or anything. Just asked what I wanted. I told her I wanted an angled cut and a blow out because I had plans that evening. It was my first visit there and I kinda expected her to evaluate my face shape and do a little consultation, at least ask me something but she just started cutting. I’m glad we were on the same page, imagine what I would have ended up with if not. She finished the cut and took the cape off and told me to pay up front. I asked about the blow out and she told me she didn’t do blow outs and besides, they were busy. My hair is super curly and I wanted it straight for an event but instead, I left with wet hair and excuses. When I paid, the same texter was there and never spoke a word except«sign here, this is your copy». For the last month I have been trying to get them to take me off their email list but for some reason they won’t. I get them at least twice a week and usually 3 –4 of the same message. I keep telling them they were rude to me that one visit and I’ll never be back, but they keep sending them. Geez I hate that salon even more than I did 2 years ago!!!

I went for a Brazilian NOT an INJURY!!! I was SO excited — I had never had a Brazilian before and I had heard such great things about getting one. My journey began at Niemann Perry Salon in Rockwall as I had found them via a quick Google search, and I was ready to begin my new adventure! When I arrived at Niemann Perry Salon on 5÷3÷12 for my Brazilian, I was asked to have a seat because they were running 10 minutes behind. A few minutes later, I was asked to wait another 20 minutes and it was suggested that I «go get some lunch» — are you kidding me? I have an appointment! I don’t mind waiting a bit — but«go get some lunch…»? I should have left and cut my losses and left when I had the chance, but I waited and was called back 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was handed a sticky bottle of fluid and a paper towel by one of two giggly girls and told to «go clean yourself»… after I ‘cleaned myself’, I returned to the room and positioned myself on the table in a strange, messy room with plush carpet. One of the giggly girls said«ouch that’s too hot», when she tested the wax on her own arm. WHAT?! Is this going to be okay? Surely, they know what they are doing?! A few minutes later, the waxing was underway. The pattern was… apply wax, press on a fabric strip, pull my skin taught with all 4 hands(between both giggly girls) and RIP! Their gloves were so sticky and pulled on my skin every time they lifted their hands off me to get more wax and strips. About 15 minutes into the process, both giggly girls left the room… A minute later, they returned and told me I had started my cycle and they would not be able to continue with the service. WHAT?! Embarrassed, I dressed, paid for the service with a generous tip, scheduled an appointment a few days later to finish the service and left with half a Brazilian. Once home, I looked in the mirror and discovered that I had not started my cycle… I was bleeding from a tear on my private!!! The giggly girls and the too hot wax gave me a torn private! I was in shock! I called back to the salon to tell the giggly girl about my injury. She said — and I quote — «yeah, that happens sometimes». Surely not! I asked a friend who goes to European Wax if that ever happens to her and she said no. I called European Wax and asked if a torn private is a common occurance and she said absolutely not! Now more upset, I called back to Neimann Perry and spoke to the manager, Lizette. She asked me to come back to the salon so she could see my injury. Gladly! I hopped in my car and drove back to Neimann Perry, and climbed back onto the table and showed Lizette my injury. She poked around my private with a popsicle stick and said it was likely due to the wax being too hot. She said she had already spoken to the salon owner about my injury. He was out of town, but due back that day. She said she would speak with him and that he would contact me. As you may have guessed, neither the salon owner, nor the manager have called me back. Even after I called back to the salon a week later to cancel my appointment to finish the service(no way was I EVER going back there for any reason!) did the owner return my call. 2 weeks later, me and my half of a Brazilian visited European Wax in Plano — and oh the difference — night and day! Now the staff at European Wax knows how to give an amazing Brazilian — the esthetician was extremely professional and did a perfect job! I told all the staff I encountered there the horror story of my visit to Neimann Perry salon and they were mortified — said that should have never happened. The manager and owner of Neimann Perry salon do not care what their staff did to me, they did not offer a refund or any kind of compensation or even just a simple apology. The moral of the story is — if you want a professional Brazilian that does not inflict any bodily injury, do NOT go to Neimann Perry salon, go to European Wax.
