Solid, if unspectacular, fried chicken & fixins. I usually go through the drive-thru once a week to bring home a couple of pieces of chicken for lunch just so to get me out of the house for a few minutes. Chicken is usually cooked pretty well and do like the spicy option. But it’s amazing how hard it is to successfully communicate an order through the drive-thru. At least they’re pretty good at recapping the order as soon as you order it and again at the pick-up window in case there are any problems.

Kameron was one of the nicest cashiers I’ve ever met in my life. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Great customer service!

I visited this location today for lunch, went through the drive thru and this will be my LAST visit to the Popeye’s in Rockwall! After multiple trips to this location where the order is never correct and poor customer service, I’m done. I pulled up to the menu board, I was the only car(no line), the restaurant wasn’t packed either. As I pull up, the person over the speaker is having a conversation in Spanish to another employee, just chatting away. I said«hello???» and they answered me, asked for my order twice, and said«pull forward» Never told me how much it was. I pull up to the window(I ordered the new rip’n chicken which was supposed to be on special but I guess this was not a participating Popeyes, go figure, the meal is supposed to come with chicken, side, drink, and a ghost pepper ranch sauce). The manager whose nametag said Humberto opens the window and quickly spouts off the price in such a thick accent that I can barely understand him, and shuts the window. I gather together the cash and change of the amount I thought he said, he opens the window and I ask for confirmation on how much it was because I didn’t understand what he said for the change. He says the amount again and rolled his eyes at me! I handed him the money and he hands me the food and drink and slammed the window. I sat there waiting for his attention because I needed honey. Humberto the manager finally opens the window again and says«yes?» I said«can I please get some honey?», he handed me two disgustingly sticky packets of honey and slammed the window again”. Also, my drink was only half full and no sauce that was supposed to be included. I’m sorry but if the managers at this location don’t even have a shred of decency and customer service skills, they don’t deserve my money

The chicken is consistently good(as you’d expect from a franchise), but the performance of the crew is always iffy. We never use the drive-thru so that’s not the problem. I’d gladly pay more for the food if they’d use it to hire better workers.

If I could a give a Minus number of stars, that would be perfect. The Rockwall, Tx Popeye’s has the worst customer service. Nothing new, has been this way for years. They are slow, rude, and could care less about serving the public. Male or female it doesn’t matter, you sit at the speaker forever and after going Hello 15 times, they finally answer. You then have to repeat the order at least twice to communicate. Then you get to sit at the window for another few minutes before they tell you to move forward so their little bell will quit ringing showing they have waited on the customer. Several cars will be parked ahead waiting also. I will stop going for another few months to get past the frustration. It is a shame because the chicken is good.

Perfectly adequate fried chicken if your concerns are price & quantity(which it often it is). This is my go-to place when I need to pick up lunch for a group. Biscuits are good. Some sides are good, too. The mashed potatoes are blah, but the cajun gravy is fine. I admit I have never tried their drive-thru. I always go in. Maybe that is why I have a better experience than the other Unilocalers?

Waited for my chicken 15 minutes because they appear to shut down the kitchen at least an hour before closing. There were 4 other cars waiting in parking lot for their orders. This has happened twice in the last month. When I got home the order was wrong. Was told the mgr. would call back in the a.m. Just as I expected, no call. Called the mgr directly and she refused to have the owner call me and took no responsibility for the delays or incorrect order. I ultimately filed a complaint with the corporate office. This is a franchise store so who knows if they care. Would you really trust your family’s health to these knuckleheads?
