Place is overrated. Went for the crabcake and shrimp pasta. The pasta was bland and crabcakes were over seasoned. The waiter was nice and the place was very clean. I will give it another try very soon.

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday with the family. During the week there is a lunch menu available, but it is not offered on the weekends. You enter a large waiting area with banquette along the right side and the hostess station straight ahead. The hostess sat us in a large booth in the dining room. There is also a large bar area. Our waiter was very professional and attentive. He took our drinks order right away; there is a large selection of wine, a good number of beers on draft or in bottle, and cocktails. The dining room is dark, nicely decorated and the food menu huge! It took quite a while to make our lunch selections and our waiter gave us plenty of time to decide, checking in often, but not too often. The bar area is sunny with a row of windows along one side. If you are looking for a lighter mood, I would request to be seated in the bar area. The dining room is more of a fine dining experience. There were also two other areas to the right of the main entrance with tables only(no booths) that would be nice for an intimate dinner. One of the rooms is curtained off which would make a great venue for a small, private get together. I didn’t ask about that, so definitely call the restaurant to see if that is available to reserve. So much food I wanted to try. The small plates looked very appetizing, but I wasn’t with that type of group, so I had to pass on those.(*sad) I did start with the onion petals. This is a take on onion rings but instead of rounds, they are large cuts on onion that have the shape of a flower petal. The batter is spicy and comes with a sauce including horseradish and cayan: so a little spicy, but not ‘hot’. It is deep fried, so expect a little ‘greasy’ with this one. The Grilled Chicken Cobb salad was tasty. Served like a chopped salad(lots of small pieces) the chicken has a spicy rub. The flavor combinations were very nice. My dining companion suggested dried cranberries would be a nice compliment to the flavors. My fav had the Chicken Parmesan. He eats a LOT of Chicken Parm and this is among his TOP favorite. The chicken is fried in a spicy coating, has a very light tomato sauce over the chicken, which is then covered with melted cheese, all on top of angel hair pasta in an Alfredo sauce. Not your average Chicken Parm! Seeing as we were at a Louisiana Cajun restaurant, I chose a classic Shrimp Etouffe. This is a very simple dish of shrimp in a dark roué over white rice served with a biscuit. The plentiful shrimp are bite size, the rice cooked perfectly, the roué spicy, the biscuit light and fluffy. For me, this may have been just a bit too spicy, but it was very tasty and definitely represented it’s Cajun heritage well. There is a large selection of dinner items for all types of appetites. Definitely view the menu on-line if you can before your visit. We did not save room for dessert, but there is a display case right outside the waiting area so you can see what is available before you dine. That way you know if you need to save room.

I like this place every time I go! Parking is very easy and the place is close to the main road so pretty easy to get to. They have a lot of drinks, but my favorite is the fish bowl which you can get pretty cheaply during happy hour. Like the name implies it’s a bunch of tasty liquor in a giant fishbowl cup and will definitely get you tipsy :) The décor is great and makes me actually think that I’m in Louisiana(at least I don’t think I’m in Arkansas!). They have comfy booths and an outside area for nice days. They don’t really have many vegetarian options so I usually get the eggplant parmesan, but I love it so I don’t really care. The eggplant has so much flavor from the breading and when mixed with the pasta is literally taste bud nirvana. Also throw in some fried appetizers and you have a happy diner!

Service was terrible, the waiter even complained to us that he had been there since 9 am. Really??? We ate at a table in the bar area and our waiter was not a good one at all! I ordered the Paneed Alligator Strips because I love alligator. The meat wasn’t very good, I had better earlier at the craft fair. Love Cajun food, but won’t visit Copeland’s again.

What can I say about Coplands… other then my last 3 experiences where not good. How can you bring someone cold Appetizers? Here is how! The Waitress explained to us that everything is pre-cooked and then Microwaved at least when it comes to the Appetizers. So do not order Crab Cakes. They might be served to you frozen! I will not go back. I love my food cooked. Not like warm. I also would like to be served fresh food. I might as well stay home and eat a delicious meal from Swan’s

I’ll give them 4* for their food, but 0* for their service. 4 of us dined here about 1 month ago while in NWAR for the craft fairs. We sat in the bar area. Started with the app — artichoke & spinach dip, with mini toasted bow tie pastas(fried) for dipping. This was really good. Unfortunately, after we finished the app, it took 20 minutes for our waiter to find his was back to then take our entrée orders. Why he didn’t get them earlier is a mystery. I had the fried catfish which was good. Once finished, you guessed it, where oh where did our waiter go, or where oh where did he go? He eventually mentioned he’d been there since 9am in the morning. Perhaps he should have taken a nap break at some time during his 12 hour shift.

On Friday October 2 my husband and I ate here. We should have left but it WAS one of our favorite places to eat. We usually stay away from chain restaurants. The service has always been well and food is what you expect for the price. That night my opinion changed, I will never go back and will actively tell others to stay away. We sat right away in the bar area which is usual. The waitress we had was pleasant at first then got flustered. I ordered a rare steak with crawfish, loaded baked potato, raspberry vinaigrette salad with a gluten free lemon drop martini. Waitress 30 minutes after we ordered finally remembered our salads. They came out wilted.(2nd flag) 28 minutes after that our food came out. Waitress never stopped to ask until my husband was done eating. I was still waiting to eat for my crawfish but she never came by for me to tell her.(I told my husband to go ahead and eat) Finally I see a manager walking towards us with intent to talk. I guess our waitress knew we were unhappy even though she NEVER checked on us, offered a drink refill or asked why I wasn’t eating my food. The manager was very nice and apologized. She said our waitress had 3 other complaints besides ours. She offered to comp our entire meal. We declined the offer. My husbands food was as ordered and our one drink each was good. We finally let her comp my meal, we paid for our drinks and my husbands meal. She insisted we get a piece of cheesecake to go. Which we did. (10÷3) Saturday I wasn’t feeling well. Just kind of sluggish and like I had a fog over me. Sunday I was down right sick. By Monday evening I knew it was something a little more serious then a virus. Trust me when I say you don’t want the details. Tuesday first thing I’m at the mercy clinic in Rogers. I was officially diagnosed with Campylobacter. I had to wait on the test to come back on Thursday to find out which antibiotic could fight it. Which ended up being Zithromax 500 mg. Let me just say stool samples are not fun!!! That alone makes me want to give you a negative ten star rating and personally shut you down. I did not stop getting sick until Saturday 10⁄5 at around 11pm. 3 days on antibiotics. So for anyone wanting to eat here. It has been established I got this from Copelands. I had nothing else to eat on Friday, coffee doesn’t count. Thursday I had sushi and ate from the same plate as my family. No one else got sick except me. My doctor turned this over to CDC and the health department finally called me today to start an investigation. For anyone wondering how you get this infection. It comes from undercooked chicken, infected/spoiled meat, untreated water OR fecal matter on your hands then touching food. Thank you Copelands for serving me a sh! t!y meal literally. I hope that after the inspection is done, you are fined heavily and learn a lesson. Watch your employees no excuses!!! For the manager do your job and keep an eye on your employees.

Very pleasant meal here. The menu is rich, that’s New Orleans cuisine, but they’ve got many options. The small plate entrees let you enjoy New Orleans without overdoing it. The fish of the day was firm, a side of broccoli was extra generous. The chopped salad with Apple & blue was generous and the extra shrimp were fresh and properly cooked. We had cheesecake with praline topping, split 5 ways for a perfect bite of something sweet. Dinner for 5 with 3 glasses of wine was $ 113, which I considered pretty reasonable.

They took away the spinach salad. My favorite thing on the menu that I got pretty much every trip — fresh spinach, bacon, hot bacon dressing, and fried onion strings was to die for. They say they cannot make it anymore because they no longer have the spinach. And its place we have things like a chop salad and a wedge salad — the same salad you can get at every freaking restaurant from Chili’s to Morton’s. I won’t downgrade their rating because of this, but I hope they will register my grumpiness. Boo.

Service was really good. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. Prompt attention given to each table. Food was less than desirable. Started with alligator appetizer. Did not taste like the alligator I’ve had before. Very chewy and a tad spicy which the flavor was good but texture not so much. Entrees we tried the fried platter. Fries and onion straws were cool to the touch. Shrimp was really good. Fish was good and crawfish tasty. Also tried the basil chicken pasta. Was mediocre at best. Expected a much better taste. Just ok. Coworker tried the stuffed catfish. Stuffing was very salty as was the creamed spinach. Stuffing was missing the jumbo crab. It may be diced but it was hard to notice.

For Northwest Arkansas this is a five star restaurant experience. Our new favorite place since we moved here from Dallas last year. Have now eaten here at Copelands three times and enjoyed it each time. My wife and I each get the Penthouse salad and split a rib eye steak. The steak is served hot. We also love the sweet potato fries, hush puppies, and the crab beignets. Service has also been excellent all three times!

Wow-very disappointed from what we had heard and read. Dinner reservations for a booth — didn’t know that would be half booth next to the drink station a where everyone walks by. The place was half empty! When we asked for a different booth we were treated badly from then on. Food was average. I loved my eggplant entrée but my wife’s crab cakes were below average. While we were trying to enjoy our crawfish bread appetizer a server through our entrees on the table without saying a word-so much for enjoying our appetizer. Our check($ 70)was on the table before our dessert. The manager seemed more interested in visiting with young waitresses than running the place. My drink was great but would have needed several to enjoy our dinner. Sorry just the truth.

Never received service. Sat at bar and it was filthy. Waited 15 minutes. Guy next to me was served cold food, that was enough for me… So I left. This place used to be great.

Visited Copelands for the 3rd time the other night. Love the atmosphere, and the salad and salmon i have gotten before was good. In the restaurant the staff always seem pleasant. This time my friend and i met for drinks. We sat in the bar. The waiter we had was very knowledgeable of the menu and seemed ok at the beginning. After looking at the menu to split something we couldnt find a healthy option we could agree on so we ordered drinks and two appetizers. When the waiter came back we gave our order and he actually said, thats it? Service went down from there. Our first drinks were ok but we ended returning two drinks after that and got one last drink each that was so horrible we didnt bother to finish. It was very disapointing. I would do dinner or lunch, but definitely no drinks there, going forward.

Excellent! The side salad was a meal. Excellent food, good selection, and great atmosphere. Looks fancier than it is. Steaks a bit pricy but everything else was reasonable. Great New Orleans style drink menu and the bartender was awsome.

came here for a Sunday afternoon brunch, the atmosphere is nice with live band, the breakfast was the highlight… cheese grits were great, can make your own omelette which offers a variety of ingredients. However, the lunch side was very bland for authentic New Orleans food, this can not be what the late great Al Copeland visioned when it came to his fine food. another note mimosas was only $ 2 which is a plus and they were delicious. I would come back here for breakfast only. I believe the price point for $ 22 is a bit high for mediocre food. somewhere between $ 12-$ 15 would better suffice

If you’re looking for a taste of New Orleans(or maybe just home sick) this is the place for you! The ambiance and menu reflect very well of New Orleans, especially on the holidays and mardi gras. I always go for their calamari to start with and then go into the Veal Copeland. They are my favorite dishes on their entire menu, and always fresh when it arrived at the table. The staff is friendly which also adds to the great experiences I’ve had while dining here.

Okay we went last night, our waiter was wonderful, the food was awful, the only thing good about the food was the biscuits they are very good, the crabcakes did not taste like crap they put them on top of my pasta and smothered in the sauce which made them very very soggy, I haven’t been there in a long time I forgot how bad the food was, will not be going back.

Delicious New Orleans style food for a great price. The ambiance puts it over the top with a lot of flare to put you in a fantastic mood while you are there. They even have a desert bar that is fabulous! I would recommend the Tuxedo Cake. Super yummy!

I’ve been here twice now. The 2nd time was just as good as the first experience. The bread/biscuit has a great smell and taste. Maybe next time I’ll check out their steaks.
