When you need someone that can get out stains others can’t and want to get what you pay for, this is the guy. I refer to him as the chemist because he has the right chemical for the right stain and gets stains out that other don’t. He does more than just spray a stain, he actually gets down on his hands and knees and scrubs the carpet when needed. Sure he may be a bit pricey at times but when it comes to carpet cleaning you get what you pay for and this guy is worth every penny. If you are dumb enough to think that someone can give you a reasonable price over the phone without looking at the job you are more a fool than I am. Being a busy property manager who managers hundreds of properties and doesn’t have the time to mess around with getting someone to come back because you are not happen doesn’t make any sense.

We contacted Golden Gate carpet cleaning and received a quote to clean a couch. We were quoted a hundred dollars (for a couch) over the phone and thought that was acceptable, albeit a bit high for a single couch, we agreed to service. Upon arrival of the cleaner, he stated the couch was «In roughy shape» and told us it would cost 225 to be cleaned. A 125% increase then the quote over the phone. Best part was he kept saying it was because we eat on the couch, however we do not eat a single item on our couch and eat every meal at our dinner table. Also, I just shampooed the couch a month ago but and it looks no better than when I did it. Still spots and looks no different. Beware of this rip off company.

Mike came out & did a great job & was very nice to work with. The price was lower than a recommended competitor. I would definitely recommend him & will use him again.

Asked Mike (owner) for a phone estimate. Told him exactly how many rooms and gave approximate sizes and was given a price range that I was happy with. It was NEVER mentioned that the price would be higher or that he would measure all the rooms and then give an exact quote. I was shocked when the price was $ 45 more than highest initial estimate. All the bedrooms are small BUT the 4^th bedroom is my youngest sons and you can barely walk in and out of this room. So $ 300 to clean 3 small bedrooms and 10 ½ stairs.
Yes, I learned my lesson. Next time I will have a carpet cleaner come and just give me an exact price quote. BUT in this scenario, the owner should be clear and mention what is procedures are in determining pricing.
