Very upset that the ladies working were talking smack in Spanish. They did not realize I spoke Spanish. Come on who does that anymore! I can’t wait for chipotle to open because I’m never ever coming here again. Oh yeah and they messed up my order

Been coming here since it opened. Worse and worse. Took home nachos today. Paid $ 6.31 to find a plate of stale, dry tortilla chips. No cheese-about three sprinkles, no beans literally a tablespoon. Awful. Music blaring as always. Floors being swept but dirty-black dirt covered. Employees unfriendly always busy gossiping. Will now be going to Rubio’s and Baja Fresh.

This shopping center has been undergoing renovations for some time. The store location is near Starbucks and Sports Authority — it’s tucked in the back corner. It’s clean and feels similar to all the other La Salsa locations. I like the salsa bar, they give you plenty of options to drown your food in, and there is a nice range of how salsa spiciness. The food is relatively healthy and a good value. I like the California burrito, it tends to fill me up, and it comes with a little personal bag of tortilla chips. If you need a fix of Mexican food, this is an adequate choice.

For fast food places this Mexican restaurant is pretty decent. Specially their fish tacos and steak tacos I also enjoy having their fish burritos. They have a great salsa bar which you could help yourself too. Also another amazing thing about this restaurant is that their chips are not salty at all which is a rarity in Mexican food places. I would highly recommend this Mexican fast food place I was pleasantly surprised how good it was.

This is not exactly authentic taco shop Mexican food but it’s still really good. My family and I have been here a few times and on each visit the food was good and the employees were friendly. My favorites are taquitos and flautas with guacamole and sour cream. If you get one of their plastic reusable cups, you get specials on refills.

My kids love to come here, so we come quite a bit. I really like the Taco Salad and my kids usually get the quesadillas. My one big complaint is the Iced Tea. I hate the Gold Peak tea out of those machines. The La Salsa that closed down the hill always had both fresh-brewed and the Gold Peak, so I was really sorry when they closed and we only had this choice for location.

The food is good, but the service lacks. Very rude cashier«Jackie»… She clearly does not like her job, she needs to work on her tonality with customers. I’m surprised she still works here.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the South Bay. Another La Salsa and some other indie Mexican restaurants in my neighbor closed down while ago since Chipotle opened, so I have to drive all the way up to the hill to get their food. But I don’t mind as it’s worth driving here. I especially like their fresh Taco salad with BBQ chicken as well as their Salsa bar. Recommended if you had enough of Chipotle.

La Salsa is the fast food Mexican offering in Peninsula Center near Starbuck’s(pretty much everything else in this end of the Center has closed). They have 10 – 12 tables inside as well as tables outside. It looks like every other La Salsa you have seen… white tile, white counters, white walls and white tables. There was no wait when we came in for dinner pick up to the home. The staff is oka– not effusively friendly and not very accurate. They gave me change for my first order mistake which resulted in an overcharge. The second order error was not discovered until I was home. I had the Guadalajara shrimp enchiladas with pinto beans and salad in lieu of rice. I was really happy with the little salad that I had. It was about half a cup of chopped romaine with some tomatoes and was perfect. The pinto beans are also very good… well seasoned, lean and not gritty. The enchiladas are very disappointing. There is maybe 4 or 5 bites of shrimp but huge mouthfuls of avocado, of which I am not a fan. The sauce is good — it is green — but there is very little of it. Very little. There are two tortillas and crema and cotija. These need more sauce, more meat and less avocado. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. The salsa is bad. It is under seasoned and watery. I tried the roasted tomato, the medium tomato, and the verde. All were bleh. The chips are also bleh… almost stale. I ordered a quesadilla for my little girl with black beans. Originally they charged me for the adult version, which I corrected before we left. When I got home, I discovered that they gave me rice instead o beans. Two errors on a very simple request. Overall, the food here is okay to meh and he service is meh, so I give it 2 stars. Don’t bother.

This was my first time here and the food was good. I really liked the salsa bar. They have a medium restraunt style salsa that was amazing. The service was great also.

I happened to be in the neighborhood(July 23rd, 2014) and decided to eat here with a friend as my first experience was pretty good. This time however wasn’t so good. I had the same cashier as last time, whom has a nametag without a name on it due to it being scratched out and it was an overall unpleasant experience. The food was still alright, but the cashier seemed to be annoyed with our presence. He didn’t really communicate with us at all, but instead was continuously speaking with the cooks while we waited for him to acknowledge us. Once acknowledged, he didn’t even speak. He just made eye contact, lifted his head up slightly that kind of suggested, «What do you want?» without actually asking. We ordered and he didn’t even tell us the total, we had to look at the machine to see it. Seems minor, but the bigger picture shows that we had an entire transaction without a single word ever being spoken to us. It made the experience pretty awkward. We then sat down to eat and the entire time he was just chatting it up with the cooks, while both of them continued to watch us eat quite often. It was uncomfortable to say the least. This second experience actually was a turning point for me as I most likely will not be returning. The first experience wasn’t too bad but there was also a manager on site that day, whereas there wasn’t a manager this time. The difference really shows.

Speaking to this specific La Salsa, it is absolutely delicious. I go so often, that a couple of the cashiers know my order by heart(which is really special). I get the California, ranchero style, no rice, and with black beans. The salsa bar, for a chain like this one, is very hight quality.

Lots of tables and an extensive salsa bar. It gets the job done when you’re craving some generic Mexican burrito on your lunch break.

Where should i start… it started in the summer of ’69, just got back from ‘nam and i was looking for something to eat. I was walking around with my war luggage having just gotten off the plane and starving. i dont know whats worse, the hunger after getting off a 17 hour flight or guerilla warfare. like an unstoppable farce i was on the hunt for a burrito. 1970. im still looking for the burrito of all burritos. need a haircut. christmas 1971. got a haircut. did i mention i lost both my legs in ‘nam so walking around looking for a burrito is hard which just shows how determined i am to find this burrito. skip forward to 1985, prosthetic legs are introduced into the world. 1994, thanks to the GI bill i qualified for one prosthetic leg. i know look like a flamingo on the search for a burrito. 1995 – 2011 i was with an amazing woman who ended up running away with my best friend and my one good leg. i am no longer a flamingo. 2012, i qualified for my second leg. i look like a flamingo again 2013, i smell a bean cooking, a single pinto bean. a singo if you will. but more than a singo is necessary for a burrito. i see an old crumpled up napkin and i use it to clean up the blood from my nub and wipe my tears. i miss my woman. 2014, i still have the old bloody napkin. i finally read the print on it. «la salsa» it reads. i have heard whispers of this place. i wonder what la salsa means. i hope they have burritos. ive had so many over the years, so many tastes, so many flavors, so many aromas, so many disappointments. disappointment after disappointment has hardened me. more than vietnam, more than the love of my life leaving with my best friend and my prosthetic leg with nothing to show for it aside from one little stump. next to the one i already had. my insides have hardened like a crab apple. the salt on my wounds doesnt even burn even more. who cares this salsa place had another bad burrito, ill just add it to the list. January 11th, 2014, i finally go to la salsa. the menu says they have burritos so i order a california burrito, being the proud Californian that I am I get the california burrito with black beans, to match my black soul. i forget how poetic i am sometimes. i should write a poem. my burrito arrives swiftly. i take a seat, and bite into the burrito. a single tear rolls down my face and onto the table. this is the burrito i have been searching for. after 45 long, dramatic, disappointing, depressed, deep, dark years from the depths of hell, through my ptsd, my missing legs, the wench of a woman who stole my heart and my leg and my best friend, through all that i finally found hope. finally giving reason to waking every morning. i might finally get a dog. maybe even a power wheelchair. im tired of rolling around on a skateboard. maybe ill learn to ride a bike. ill take up finger painting at the local art center. grow a beard, shave it off. grow it again. shave it again. i can do whatever i want now because this burrito has made my life. the world is my tortilla, and it’s up to me to fill it with dreams, hopes, laughs, love, friends, flamingoes, papayas, and more la salsa burritos. if it were up to me there would be a la salsa on every corner. no forget that. every store would be a la salsa. and the only thing they would have would be the california burrito with black beans. 2017, im still eating this burrito. its so big, maybe i should use it for my leg. i got a dog by the way. i named him flamingo. 2018. flamingo ate my burrito leg and ran off. just like a woman. cant live with ‘em, cant live without em’ huh. anyways, just to keep this nice and short, thanks for the great burrito. Now time to get my free mexico city taco.

DON’T DOIT! What can I say? We were craving some sort of Mexican, and this is where we ended up. Really bad customer service… Cook and register fighting in front of customers. Bad attitude from lady working the register. We should have left right then and there, but then we made the biggest mistake ever which is placing an order. Disgusting… Be kind to yourself and eat some where else!

Just wanted to warn anyone with allergies too stay away from La Salsa. I went in today and asked to see the allergy menu, they informed me they did not have one. They have a list with all the ingredients but they will not show it to you because of «trade secrets». I showed them a list of our allergies and they blew me off and refused to tell me what if anything was safe to eat. Needless to say it was an awful experience. The server’s name was Brenda

Not really a big fan of La Salsa or Baja Fresh or the like, but I have to say the food was pretty good on this visit. I had the Two Tacos Platter. I got it with steak. The tacos were pretty big and really tasty. I tried it with some mild salsa and medium salsa. They have a Cranberry Salsa, but I wasn’t feeling it because it didn’t seem fitting to the ethnicity of the food. Service was a bit slow. Waited a little longer than I thought we should have. Otherwise, a good fresh tasting meal. 3.65 Stars.

Soft taco with grilled shrimp. That was my meal for the day. Two of them, in fact. I was ravenous, doing errands all morning on an empty stomach, could not imagine poking around T J Maxx, my last stop, faint from hunger. Fast food never tasted so good. The tacos were even topped with a generous slice of avocado. They had the perfect amount of shredded cheese and cabbage. I squeezed lime wedges on top. I love the salsa at La Salsa that is made with just tomato, onion and cilantro. I ate three little bowls of it with a spoon, like soup. I rarely drink soda, but today I went for broke and had a root beer. Shrimp tacos and root beer. It doesn’t get any better. Life is effin sweet.
