This«Denny’s» is now closed. It was there for many years — which was surprising, given that there are two others nearby(Temple City and El Monte). Sorry to see it go. Many memories.

This place is nice and the waiters/waitresses are very polite. I’ve gone to other places and they always seem to have a problem with my order. In all this place is great.

Remember the days when all the smokers flocked to Denny’s at 3am? Maybe you just came out of a show. Maybe you’re a drug addict. Or maybe you were just damn hungry and nowhere else was open. Remember: «You never go to a Denny’s. You always end up at a Denny’s» 4 stars because their passable food and availability is as predictable as the rising and setting sun. You know exactly what you’re gonna get, and they bring it every time. So mr. & mrs. bags-under-your-eyes. We’ll all see you there!

If you don’t have a bed to sleep in and have a few dollars you should come over to Denny’s for a cheap meal and stay all night long, just don’t fall asleep. Denny’s is a no frills place but it takes in everybody just as long as you are a paying customer.

Went here recently for a birthday party that was held in their banquet rooms… these rooms were very nice and perfect for any kind of special event. The restaurant was very clean, service was good and the food was tasty! Also had their cookie skillet recently and it was great… similar to a pazookie… yum!

I’m always going here with my boyfriend when he gets off of work late at night. The food is great and what can be better than to eat breakfast at night. It’s a good place to meet up with friends and catch up.

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I came here, hoping to get some studying done before class yesterday. Before coming here, I called them asking if they had free wifi(since most do) and someone on the phone said yes. So when I came, I asked to be seated right next to an AC outlet to plug in my laptop’s charger, and the lady gave me a scuffled look, and rolled her eyes. Bitch came back 10 minutes later asking what I wanted. My water was empty and needed a refill, and she didn’t do it. My food came in a timely manner though, but along with my meal, the waitress brought my bill as well. Wtf? That was the last I saw of her for a good 45 minutes. I had to ask the waiters & my waitress 2 times to refill my water, and they still didn’t do it until I was already done with my meal(grilled cheese sandwich) & I was sooo thirsty already, ugh. This is the ONLY place I have NEVER left tip at. Oh, and there’s no wifi –_– I will not EVER return here. Worse Denny’s experience, ever.

I LOVE this place after 12am. It’s the only place were you can get serviced and food late night. Coffee here is always strong and bottomless. After a late night outing. This is the place everyone craves to go and eat. Especially when the girls are all dressed and don’t want McDonalds. The downside is that the menu is arranged in a way where it makes you feel the need for a big, hearty, fifteen-dollar manly meal. Cause if you order anything else, like the $ 2.99 breakfast meal, you’ll feel impotent when it arrives. I ordered the $ 2.99 breakfast meal once– big mistake. I got this steering wheel sized plate with eggs and toast. When I was finished my friend asked me if I was still hungry. After my reply, I could tell she didn’t believe me. I didn’t even believe myself. So I vowed to order the big, hearty, fifteen-dollar manly meal every time I come and I never regret it. Food and service is good. The price hurts but if I’m hungry after 12am, I don’t care.

This has to be the best Denny’s I’ve been to in a long time. Most Denny’s are just average, but when I went to this Denny’s I really felt like family. I got my food, fresh and hot and got great service. One of the Best Denny’s in the area for sure.

Went here to grab a quick bite. The Baconalia Bacon Lettuce and Tomato sand was really good. But what stole the show was the Bacon and Maple Ice Cream Sundae. Probably the best tasting sundae I’ve ever tasted. I guess it’s true, Bacon does make everything taste better.

It’s a Dennys. Yeah I know, that’s what everyone says. This particular Dennys had quite a bit of ups and downs. Back in the 80’s(shoot, I gave away my age LOL) it was actually pretty nice, but it had been going down hill for a loooong time. The food is usually the same… NOT! They used to burn things. Hot meals were being served cold. It would have been a one star rating for sure. It started recovering several years back and I’ve started coming back once in a while. The wait staff started taking care of customers. The food quality became decent. Hot foods were actually hot, and I don’t see burnt foods. Coffee is decent and I love what they’re doing with the menu. They keep changing it up. The standard items don’t change, but they’re adding specials & budget menu too. Overall, I’m giving them 3 stars. What do you expect? It’s a Dennys.

I know, I know… Denny’s? With Denny’s you always know what to expect. The food is what it is. Well…I have to give this particular location 4 stars for two major reasons: 1. This Denny’s location is clean and the staff was very courteous — even at 2am on a Friday night. At this hour, you don’t always get this hospitality and I think it’s worth mentioning! 2. I had a biscuit with gravy and hash browns for $ 2. It was the perfect dish to have while waiting for friends to sober up. They have lots of specials going on right now where they have appetizers, meals and desserts ranging from $ 2 – 6! I really need to deepen my knowledge of local places to go from 11 – 3 am.(If someone makes a list, I’d be eternally grateful!). But I’m glad that I can count on this Denny’s location when me and my friends need a safe place to sober up.

3 friends, $ 20, and the Grand Slam Deal. What does this equal? Three full teenagers. It’s worth it to me. Whenever my friends and I are low on cash, we head over to places like Denny’s. The place smells like pancakes, yay! No long waits. And the service isn’t too bad. Lots of places to sit. Food is good for it’s price. Yup, Denny’s has got it all. Downside: After formal dances like Winter Formal or Prom, high school students will pack into a Denny’s probably. Avoid eating at 1AM during January and May. If you don’t like Denny’s, there’s Hometown Buffet within walking distance and other places to grab a quick bite in this plaza or the one North of it.

Now that I’m officially laid off of work, the word, «free» has new meaning to me. Before, I’d balk at standing in a long line for anything, even at a reduced price: Pink’s hotdogs, Tommy’s hamburgers, Canter’s sandwiches, or Philippe’s beef dips. That said, I had to go to Target to pick-up some my blood pressure meds and decided to offset their effects with a Denny’s free Grand slam breakfast. My Denny’s of choice? The one across the street from my Target store on Rosemead Boulevard. Holy crap, when I got there, I saw a line to the door that would make any nightclub jealous. I almost aborted my breakfast plans, but a space opened up in their lot and I took it as a sign: God knew I was hungry and poor, He WANTED me to be fed. How could I argue? Plus, I was alone so how hard could it be to grab a counter seat? First off, if you’re reading this, it’s probably too late for you. The offer ends at 2pm, but if you happen to catch this review, just know that the line of people are waiting for their TABLES. I waded through that jungle of humanity like a treasure hunter hell bent on finding that solid gold pyramid, got to the counter, and put my name in. It’s a good thing the natives were friendly. I waited outside for maybe ten minutes, got my counter seat, ordered my breakfast(beverages are NOT included; I ordered a coffee and O.J.) and in less than five minutes, I got my two hotcakes, two bacon, two sausage links, and eggs. I was disappointed that I didn’t get my complimentary garnish of parsley, but I wasn’t going to make a huge issue of it. I got there a little before ten o’clock and probably spent less than an hour there, tops. A miracle! What’s weird is that this is probably my best Denny’s experience. Despite the crowds of people, the servers were pretty calm and efficient, resigning themselves to this purgatory, and my breakfast seemed better than usual. Denny’s bacon and sausage are what they are. I tried not to look for images of Jesus or bacon shaped like the Virgin Mary, but I have to say my scrambled eggs were pretty good! What th-? It was weird how they were all buttery, so much so I didn’t need to add salt. Someone was looking out for me. The pancakes were okay, too; but what DOESN’T taste good when it’s doused in butter? Really, I chalk it up to the cooks who were forced to make the same thing over and over and over again. Practice does make perfect, I guess. I’m usually not a huge fan of Denny’s, a last ditch place for me when everything else is closed or I just don’t know any better, but I have to give them kudos for handling all those people. Although my meal was free, I still ended up paying for my cup of joe and the Minute maid orange juice. A dollar ninety-five for coffee and… whatever for O.J.!! My bill came out to less then five dollars($ 4.98), but I left a two dollar tip for my server out of kindness. Was I stupid? I don’t know, but at least I left that place with a clear conscience.

I haven’t been to Denny’s for almost a decade. I always associated them with grubby, typical, non-vegetarian-friendly diner food with a poor presentation. They used to have a limited late night menu, which was even worse. But my boyfriend told me he heard from his friends that Denny’s had a new late night menu that impressed them. So one late night driving back from the beach, I was craving pie and said we should stop in a Denny’s. His friends were right. Denny’s tapped into what young people like myself craved: a sleek presentation, a comfortable yet modern ambiance, friendly service(no grumpy people! I was shocked!), and lots and lots of FRIED food. My boyfriend calls their late night menu snacks, «stoner food.» Yes, after 10 pm, they have potachos and dessert chips/nachos or something funky like that. I stuck with seasoned fries, which came with BBQAND ranch, and an apple pie crisp thing. Both were delish! Their ranch dressing tastes kind of different, but I can’t complain because the well-portioned seasoned fries were a bargain at $ 3.19 or so. I’ve been to this Rosemead Denny’s, which is across from Target, twice and I have been IMPRESSED. The first time, we came back from a horrible dinner at a Japanese restaurant where the food and rude service left a poor taste in our mouths. The Denny’s service was OUT of this WORLD; I couldn’t believe how nice and accommodating they were. Yes, I know, this is Denny’s I’m talking about! And their employees were friendly, happy, and reassured us while the stuck-up Japanese restaurant looked down on us(and had meager portions). My friend ordered a Grand Slam, which allows you to choose what items you want now. Hot dog! That’s the way to go because not everybody loves bacon, sausage, eggs, grits(etc). The food was great, as expected, and the presentation was very inviting. The second time we came back to this location, lightning struck twice because other workers we haven’t seen before were just as friendly to us. I used to associated Denny’s with grumpy workers who hated their jobs — but not anymore! Denny’s has won me over, and this Rosemead location is a hidden gem. It really looks like a diner in there too. I would highly recommend it!
