Lolli and Pops

Big variety of candy. A must if your shopping in this mall. They carry candy that most stores do not have.

Is it bad, that I love this store!!! Anytime Im at this mall on my lunch break, I have to stop in this candy store… They always have free samples, I love that the store is set up by candy category. Hard Candies in one room, chocolates in another, and in the back are the gummies!
I only go into the Chocolate Section, and my recommendations are the Sea Salt Caramel’s covered in Dark Chocolate, as well as the Red Velvet Michigan Cherries, new find were the Chocolate Banana Flavored Gummy Bears!
This is the place to go when you want a treat!
Great customer service and quality every time and the price for a few pieces of chocolate is always usually around 3 bucks!

Full Disclosure: I am not a fan of chocolate. I do not like milk chocolate or dark chocolate. However I LOVE white chocolate. So I picked two items that I thought were white chocolate. They were the Key Lime Pie and Strawberry Shortcake dessert truffles. I ASKED the person (MABIN is on my receipt). If they were white chocolate — she said yes. She may have been distracted because she was on the phone.
When I boarded the train — I bit into the candy and it had a milk chocolate bottom. Yucko.
I don’t mind the price and have paid more for two smaller pieces of white chocolate from chocolatiers.
I asked if they were white — they were not. She should have said ‘they have milk chocolate bottoms.’ It was a waste of money for me.
Now, when I asked her about the caramel apple, she described it and didn’t recommend it to me. So maybe I should have been more clear in what I asked for… in any case. No need for me to return, I’m assuming all of their white chocolate has milk chocolate bottoms.

Heaven for chocolate lover’s. Everytime we visit the mall we have to go in and buy their delicious chocolates. What’s amazing is the variety of chocolate from different parts of the world.

I love it in here!!! So many choices of every kind of candy. The staff tonight, the manager and awesome young man with black framed glasses, were super attentive, helpful, and very knowledgeable about their product. We stocked up for at least a week, need to stop by weekly to keep our candy jar full at home :)

If you’re at the FOC, I highly reccomend you check this place out. Candies from all over the world are sold here! There are 4 different rooms as well, including the Wonka room (with jelly bellys, wonka candy, etc), the Gumball room, the chocolate room, and my favorite, the gummy room. I stopped in to pick up some chocolate covered gummy bears (amazing) and was greeted promptly by the most energetic and passionate employee. I believe her name was Ani (so sorry if I got it wrong). She showed my friends and I around, giving us a tour of each room and samples of anything we asked to try! Her reccomendations were very tasteful and you can tell she was very genuine! 5 stars to this place and Ani’s amazing customer service! Thank you!

Helllo, candy heaven! This is the «candy store for grown-​ups», no annoying bright colors, ugly balloons, or screaming children. They have anything and everything you can possibly want, including to-​die-​for chocolate truffles. The truffles are a bit expensive, but they are huge and SO WORTH IT. I’d spend the money anytime! Plus, the guy working (he was young, in his 20’s, didn’t catch his name) totally loved his job — he was so friendly and gave us free samples of any candy we wanted! YUM!!!

Things had been especially difficult in my life until Lolli and Pops entered it.
I had recently become unemployed and single (no money, no girl) and had been in dire need of a way to win my now ex-girlfriend’s affection back. She comes across as a tomboy but she really has a sweet spot (hehehe) for cute girly things and anything dipped in chocolate (myself included aww yiss). I was at a loss for what to get her when one of the workers helped me out (Shout outs to you, Kyle!) and said I should get her Clodhoppers. So, I purchase two bags for her, write her a nice letter explaining the times and my feelings, and voila! I got the girl, and am on the fast track to putting my life back together!
Thanks again, Kyle from Lolli and Pops! You’re a true bro!

My daughter and I stopped in there because a friend told us about it. We were like two little kids in there. We were approached by Kyle who gave us suggestion and answered a million questions we had. He was so patient and didn’t seem annoyed at all. I will recommend this store to anyone. If you have any questions look for Kyle he can answer them for you. I know where I will be going to get my Easter candy this year.

I was visiting from California and thought I would stop by this store. This store is so cute! It is so funny how happy a candy store can make a person feel. What I like is the customer service experience. I was greeted by Kyle and he was so patient with me. I was overwhelmed with the selection and he let me ask a zillion questions. Thank you Kyle for the great customer service experience =) it is greatly appreciated!

Candyality? Beat it.

The fact of the matter is… it’s Lolli and Pops Über Alles.
Whoever came up with the idea of this place started with OCD, dropped acid and then went to work.
Result?
A masterpiece which is an extremely well organized, regimented candy store broken down room by room as to candy genre. I’m not going to list every type of candy they have because they have them all.
When you walk into this place, you’re going to zeek out and have your eyes pop out of your skull with all the colors exploding and the thoughts of all that sugar coursing through your veins. Drugs, er, I mean sugar, man.
Really, the most eye popping thing and what it all breaks down to is that Lolli and Pops has to have approximately 25 different colors of Sixlets. I’ve never seen anything like it: primary colors, pastels, Halloween colors. When you die, and your soul goes to Heaven, it should ease gently into a kaleidoscope bed of Sixlets. Incredible.
I grabbed a mix of various green and blue colored Sixlets (because these colors taste slightly better) and some milk chocolate covered espresso beans.
Verdict?
One hell of a high kaleidoscope high.

Let me start by saying that Lolli and Pops is what I truly believe heaven must be like. Even from 10 feet in front of the store’s entrance, you can smell the goodness that waits for you inside.
I have been hearing about Lolli and Pops from a co-​worker who’s related to someone that works at the new Fashion Outlet Mall. My co-​workers are perfectly aware of my sweet tooth (or teeth, in my case) and after their first few visits, they highly encouraged me to check out the new candy store in the mall.
I was waiting for this new mall to open from the moment its development was announced back in early 2013, but after I heard about Lolli and Pops, I decided it was a requirement for us to visit as soon as it opened up. After driving near the mall on a weekend a few weeks post-​grand-​opening, I decided that unless someone choppered me to the roof of this place, I would not be visiting this mall anytime soon. I don’t do crowds. There is NOTHING at that mall that would get me to sit in un-​moving traffic to get there… and now I found my kryptonite, Lolli and Pops.
This store is separated by room. You have your «Gummy» Room, your «Gumball» Room, your Wrapped Candy room, and the «Chocolate» Room. *light bulb just went on* I should have my house set up like this place!
This place is pretty much wall-​to-​wall candy. A few basics I noted: Milka bars, international chocolate bars, beautifully decorated Rice Krispie treats, gourmet truffles, white/​milk/​dark chocolate covered everything, gummy bears, gummy worms, gumballs of all kinds, gummy fruits, wrapped novelty candies, giant gummy bears, Pez dispensers galore, taffy, raspberry chocolate covered pretzels, gummy angry birds, peanut butter peanuts, sixlets separated by color, and my personal new favorite: Mango gummy bears! They offer a variety of excellent gift ideas, jars you can fill up with candy and give as gifts, ‘It’s a Girl’ candy bars, butterscotch beer, and all sorts of quirky little trinkets. You can find anything from your Hershey bar or Mike & Ike classics to a grapefruit flavored gourmet gummy bear to a chocolate bar imported from Europe.
Premium Scooped Chocolates: $ 12.99 per lb.
Tips for my fellow shoppers:
–Don’t be afraid to ask for a sample, they seem to encourage it here. They want you to buy and their stuff is excellent, so tasting a sample is the simplest way to get you to buy.
–Spend the $ 5 for «the green card» at the guest services desk; this magic little card will get you a free truffle for every $ 10 you spend in Lolli and Pops. I have yet to eat one of the truffles but I have plans to do so this weekend and I’m about 98% certain I will enjoy it. It’s beautiful and large (in comparison to other truffles I’ve had lately) and all appear to be beautifully decorated with toppings/​nuts, etc.
–There is a reason you will not find a scale anywhere in the store except the checkout counter. They want you to fill up those bags!
–If you are on a budget, don’t be afraid to ask them to weigh your selections at the counter as you shop. They are happy to do it for you. Or be like me and throw your bag on the scale and look in front of the cash register where the scale’s numbers will show up to see you have more than your fair share of triple dipped malted milk balls and gourmet gummy bears.
Tips for store management:
–More signage with pricing; you have to let the shoppers know what they are spending. Signage is minimal and difficult to find. I was very hesitant to pick up anything and put it in my bucket until I knew what it cost. I can only imagine how hard it is to find signage on a busy day.
–Maybe a sign that lets people know you will seal the bags at the check-​out counter, I was looking everywhere for a twist tie to close up my bags of goodies.
–I noticed a lot of items were individually priced, even little candies and that’s great, but I also found things like Laffy Taffy and had no idea how much they cost? So I skipped my purchase there.
All in all, I love this shop. The staff was super helpful and informative. I chatted with them about how much they must love to work here and they totally agreed! I mean… they work in a candy store; how bad could it be?!
I look forward to my next trip here. I foresee Christmas gift purchases. Who am I kidding? I will be using Christmas shopping as an excuse to go here! I’m hanging on to my Green card for dear life just so I can get some more of those truffles!
Way to go, Lolli and Pops, you earned yourself a new loyal customer (actually two because my hubby picked out just as much candy as I did). We’re in trouble…

I am a sucker for candy stores. I love sweet stuff. I love nostalgia. I love artisanal chocolate. And I love fun. Lolli and Pops has all of that and then some more.
I came to the Fashion Outlets of Chicago specifically for this store, and I was not disappointed. In the middle of the store is a large placement of nostalgic candy: candy cigarettes, Goo Goo Clusters, old-​timey Hershey’s bars, Abba Zabbas, etc. Along the walls, I found Chicago-​themed candy, gourmet crisp rice marshmallow treats, gourmet s’more gift sets, boxed chocolates, and International candy.
And there’s more! There are separate rooms for specific types of candy: a jelly bean room, a gummi room (with a super cute Gummi Gumby!), and my favorite, the chocolate room! That’s where you can find bulk chocolate rocks, clusters, chocolate cups, etc. They also have specialty and artisanal candy bars by TCHO and Vosges, among others.
While in line for checkout, I noticed the impressive bottled soda section, and also a butterscotch-​flavored brew. I’ve never read Harry Potter, but I’ve heard about Butterbrew. So what the heck, I decide to get a couple of bottles for me and the SO.
At checkout, I notice the very pretty looking truffles. Well, bye-​bye, paycheck! kimsy needs these today. I pick out Birthday Party, Tuttifrutti, and I tell the cashier to pick another one for me. She recommended the White Russian. The staff is very friendly, and have a lot of fun.
The only thing is that they currently do not have circus peanuts. That’s just fine with me, since circus peanuts are an abomination and do not deserve to be called candy. But the SO loves them, so I will be trekking to Jewel for his stepcandy needs.
I can’t wait to dig into my treats while watching Willy Wonka tonight! I also can’t wait to come back to Lolli and Pops! So much fun!

Very cool place. It has different rooms to visit to gather the treats into bags. There was so much delicious stuff to choose from, and I don’t even eat candy. I do now though. I bought items from the chocolate room like a different nuts covered in chocolate, pretzels covered in raspberry chocolate, a big cookie and cream cupcake, yogurt nuts and mini gram crackers covered with yogurt, malted chocolate and peanut butter balls. There was so much other stuff than that. Yep it was expensive. Two small bags for $ 17. I believe the sign said it was $ 14.99 per pound. They also sell individual truffles for $ 2.95 each but they were huge and decadent.

«retro» candy stores are popping up here and there but this one is really fun. Each room is organized as «gummies,» «gumballs,» etc. The design is really inviting and almost like a hip ice cream parlor. Fun place to stop and look around — and I didn’t think it was too overpriced. Check out the rice krispie «cakes» they are definitely a standout

This candy shop is so delightful, we were quite literally like kids in a candy store. After wading through the massive crowds on opening weekend in the new Fashion Outlets of Chicago mall, Lolli & Pops was like an oasis beckoning us in. My kids seemed to zero in on it on our way to the Nike store, and of course, we had to go in and explore.
On entering, you can see it’s not your run of the mill candy shop. Lolli & Pops has a room designated to specific categories of sweets including Gummies, Chocolates, Jelly Beans (Jelly Belly brand). You can find all kinds of candies and chocolates here, from your grocery store Nestle/​Hershey brands to gourmet like Godiva. Most of the sweets here are self-​serve bulk, weighed by pound, but they also carry many individually packaged treats and goodies, including nostalgic and novelty candies like buttons, lemonheads, mallow bars, etc. They even have a Pez/​Pez Dispenser wall. They have a glass-​display counter with various specialty truffles and chocolates near the register (where they will package for you). In addition to the sweets and treats, they have trinkets and toys, and a variety of beverages, including nostalgic and specialty (i.e., Green River) sodas.
My kids went crazy in the Gummies room, filling a bag with different variety flavored gummy bears (she preferred the sweet cherry over the dark cherry, and exclaimed over the watermelon gummies — first time we’d seen those anywhere). My son picked out a couple of lollipops. I’m a chocolate-​addict myself, so I loaded up a bag of bulk chocolates (6.99/lb, any variety) of milk, white and dark chocolates. They had a delicious milk chocolate amaretto confection that was divine… I picked out one of those but should have taken home more. I also put a few of clodhoppers in my bag and malt ball chocolates (white & milk). My husband got the ginormous turtle, some chocolate covered pretzels, and peanut butter cups and also picked out a few packaged specialty chocolates (can’t remember the brand, but one was a chili-​pepper chocolate, another was blood orange). One thing to note, and I assume this is because of opening weekend and still laying things out/​organizing, but many of the bulk chocolate containers did not have identifying labels on them… there were some interesting looking chocolates I would have liked to try (like one i could have sworn was a rum ball), but I had no idea what they were, so I passed them up.
Gummies were weighed by pound as well, ($ 3.99, I think?) and we ended up paying around $ 17 for the 3 bags that we semi-​filled, the specialty packaged chocolate, and the lollipops. I haven’t been to a candy store in a while, so I don’t have anything to compare to for pricing, but I guess, it was comparable to going to a Fanny May or Godiva (with more variety). In any event, it was a nice splurge in a cute, fun, fancy-​ish Candy Shop, the décor definitely fit, dark wood paneled entrance, well organized shelves and displays, motifs for each wall. It was a nice splurge (and worth the calories!).
