Delicious! A little pricey but always a wonderful experience! The rolls are delicious, and the environment is just super fun! This place is great to go to for birthdays!

Bring a $ 20 to grease the hostess or be a close friend if you hope to be seated. Zero oversight on hostess staff. Several young friends of the employees were seated long before us. Quoted 25 minute wait. Reality was 51 minutes. Asked for sushi bar, seated in the Chuck E Cheese area in the rear of the restaurant. Wiping the stale cheerio from my phone as the little snot next to us is playing laser wars. We have dined at Mikuni for years. This will be our last visit. Although the quality is exceptional, you’re better off sacrificing it for an enjoyable dining experience.

Great food I love this spot! Great for getting together with friends or even a date. Nice but not formal and offers a decent price point, about $ 15 each without drinks for a roll or lunch special. The quality makes the price with while and the staff has alway been great for me.

Negatives: Was not impressed with this place. The food was ok. Not terribly bad but not wow this is great for the amount of money they charge. I had higher expectations for this place since I go to the one on eureka often and they are awesome. However this place was very loud, like scream across the table to talk loud. Super crazy busy in a packed sardine sorta of way. It was my sons 18th birthday and I was really disappointed at the overall experience and price that went with it. Positive: Waitress and serving staff was really good. Won’t go back.

What I order: — Freaky Edamame — Veg Ten Roll with soy wrap and Fair Oaks sauce — Tempura Pros: — Located in the shopping center, which is great when you’re shopping. — Park. In. The. Back. Don’t be the asshat driving around the middle street for 40 minutes for a spot. — Consistent food. All the Mikuni restaurants are very consistent. — Freaky Edamame. I could eat that all day long. Cons: — Food comes out as soon as it’s ready. Which can be great. Or you’re that person who’s been waiting for 15 – 20 mins after everyone else at your table has been served. –Busy busy. Be prepared. It’s loud. It’s busy.

Go for your birthday! I highly recommend this delicious place for a birthday, date, actually go anytime you can because this place is out of bounds. With so many places nearby that serve delicious food but this one stands out if you want some delicious Japanese food. Oh my goodness was the sushi fresh and the bentos delicious. Not only was the food delicious, the staff was really nice and helpful. We had an issue with our seats and they quickly moved us and had us sat down in a better location when they noticed our discomfort. This place was worth it though I would say to make reservations for they are packed. That is not to say the food took a long time to arrive because it was quick and smooth. Definitely coming back :]

This past weekend, my brother and his fiancé took me out to go eat here. I was excited as we were having sushi and raw oyster with a few drinks. Oh my god, tell me why I feel like I was ripped off! My raw oyster was so small. It wasn’t even the size of the Asian soup spoon. On top of that, it was $ 15.00 for 4 pieces. I’ve gone to other sushi restaurants and paid less for some good decent raw oysters. The sushi was good but raw oysters are disappointment.

Was our first time yesterday to eat there at night. Nice, cool ambience. Great selection of Japanese tapas. What we ate were delicious and fresh –Japanese peppers, edamame, sashimi, ribs, hamachi kama, agedashi tofu, mochi. These went well with our beer and wine. Service was good and relaxed(felt no rush to finish up fast). A great place to chill.

As many of you know(and look at my reviews) I love sushi and take a great deal of pride finding and reviewing sushi restaurants. This one was totally different from most of the others in than while the food was great and I’d love to go back the entire downside was price and service. I went in early on a Saturday, alone so I realize they probably knew I wouldn’t be a huge money maker but I sat what seemed like forever to order and longer to get a drink. The food as I said was good or better but WOW the price. Way too high. Come on $ 8 for a veggie roll? and 11 for a rainbow that tend to cost $ 5 – 6 and $ 6 – 9 elsewhere

My first time here at Mikuni, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to order since I’m not a sushi fan, my server John(I don’t normally name drop servers, but he was very pleasant and helpful) suggested I go with the Chicken Teriyaki so I did. Wow! I was very happy with his suggestion, very fresh tasting quality chicken. I will definitely be back, may even try some sushi!

I’ll admit, I’m a sushi snob, so this just satisfied our craving when visiting Roseville. We had the Mel roll and the Fair Oaks roll. We also had yaki udon(not authentic but tasty) and tonkatsu which was fine. Good customer service. The back of the restaurant is a little weird though in that it doesn’t really match the rest of the restaurant in terms of décor and lighting — kind of like an afterthought. Maybe this place used to be a Denny’s or something and they didn’t bother to fix the back…

Best customer service ever! The sushi was incredible the customer service that came with it was outstanding. I am joining the re-ward club right away because I know I’ll be back time and time again. I’d like to say thank you to the manager for all of his wisdom and attention. Great job this place is the best. Also, If you’re like me and you love a great bloody Mary on Sunday morning then this is the place to go!

Claudia served us most recently. She was good. Kept up with table requests. Checked in on the table, kitchen, and bar staff frequently. She maintained the level of service I have come to expect. Drink was a pitcher ot dragon berry mojito. Drink took some time to arrive but cool mint refreshing. Ordered a spider roll, freaky edamame, and train wreck roll. Food was seasoned delicious, and more than filling. Balance of sauce to rolls. Chefs have all gotten consistent. Rolls hold. Not using sauce to offsetting bad flavors. More to enhance. Overall still worth every visit.

So… like many Unilocalers I love food and enjoy many different types of sustenance. This review is regarding the one restaurant that I actually CRAVE to eat. When I think about Mikuni Kaizen and their MONEYROLL my mouth waters(Yes its watering as I type this). I will admit that I am not a sushi expert by any means but can tell you that the Money Roll is the best roll I’ve had in my life! We normally pair the roll with one to two orders of their pork belly pot stickers which are not far behind in how wonderful they are. We have traveled to San Francisco a couple of time in the last 6 months and have scheduled out drive back to Reno so that we can stop and eat at Mikuni’s. The price of the roll was very similar to any run of the mill sushi restaurant so you stomach can enjoy itself without indigestion from the bill. The atmosphere is relaxed with an upbeat vibe. You can tell its the local place to go with your friends to talk and have a great meal. I just wish you were in Reno!

Oh how I wish you were in Reno although it makes visiting Roseville even more fun! Located in the Fountains, it is a perfect place for lunch or dinner after a day of shopping. We love to start with the Money Roll. I am not sure if it is on the menu but if you ask for it, they will make it up for you. Fresh salmon on top with a crunchy fired topping and filled with crab, avocado and other deliciousness… this plate has hubby’s mouth watering before we get there! The dipping sauce that is served with it, is the star of this roll’s show! I love small plates so this restaurant is awesome in my eyes with a lot of different options. The pork belly skewers are always cooked perfectly and melt in your mouth. They have a full bar, sushi bar, inside and outside seating. The servers are all very well versed in their menu and always provide wonderful customer service. This restaurant is on our must visits when on the way to San Francisco or Napa.

Blueberry sparkling sake. That was the highlight of my lunch. Server forgot or didn’t hear part of my sister’s order, so we never got it. All the fish in my sashimi lunch combo had the same mushy consistency, making me think it’s not being properly refrigerated. It’s really dark and weird inside the dining area. Didn’t enjoy it. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but I’m not really compelled to return.

Great Sushi! I have hit all the Mikuni spots in the area and they are all great! Mikuni Kaizen in the Roseville Fountains is in a nice spot with an outside area. Great selection of rolls. The Spicy Johnny is my favorite but the others are crazy good too. I actually tried one of the Bento boxes this time and that was really good too. The garlic edamame is a treat! Service has always been good at this location whether at the sushi bar or at a table. Definitely worth a stop.
