We were in the area after hiking at Vickery Creek. Unilocal let us know this place was just a couple miles away. Yummy mexican. We had the beef burrito and the steak fajita quesadilla. I loved the extra bar with salsa and pickled jalapeño options. We’ll return when in the area again.

Tasty fast casual Mexican food for a very affordable price. I appreciate the extra effort the friendly & nice staff gives me, since I usually order their lunchtime«Speedy Gonzalez» customized for me being a vegetarian. They have a salsa bar, but you do have to order the chips. Lots of food choices. My carnivore husband raves about the«molcajete», and loves the burrito fajita. And the jalepenos, heh. I look forward to trying more of the vegetarian options on their menu!

Our favorite place to go for a quick bite when we are in the Roswell area. The steak fajita burrito is my favorite and my girlfriend likes the Mexican tacos. Can’t go wrong with either. The real draw is the salsa bar though. Any of their dishes covered in the guacamole salsa is killer. The ambiance is a little meh, but at least it’s not cheesy Mexican décor.

Love everything I have eaten there. Great salsas, enchiladas, tacos, ceviche — everything! The black bean enchiladas are one of my favorite dishes there & I’m not a vegetarian. This is a casual spot with excellent food & very reasonable prices.

I had DUST-Chicken soup… yum right. The employee swept and created a big dust cloud while I was eating. When I asked him in Spanish to wait until later to do it because people were eating, he continued to sweep. «I need to do it,» he replied. Not during lunch rush– try in between lunch and dinner when the place is empty. Just my luck, I actually have a dust allergy too. If anyone has it, dust creates severe intense itching in your body, kinda like poison oak; joy to have to go back to work like that but oh well. Fine– have it your way. The guy didn’t care. So I left and thus the one star. They might have good food but don’t disrespect customers like that. That’s how you lose customers. There are a million restaurants on your road, okay maybe not a million, but a good thousand, that would appreciate my repeat business better than this stubborn guy. Is he the owner? Yikes. Owners should know why they lose customers. Thank God for Unilocal

Love this place. They have the best Mexican in this area in my opinion. However, check your order before you leave! They are always crazy busy and bound to mess something up. I would say 8 out of 10 of my orders something was a little off, but it’s good so I keep going, lol.

Love this place! So glad I work super close to it. The fact that they deliver is even better. I get food from here regularly and they have yet to disappoint. There was a little confusion with my delivery order but aside from that all has been good. Their salsa bar is fantastic as well.

LOVELOVELOVE Mr. Taco(Roswell) — — – we had the steak tacos and the Molcajete with the delicious salsas, sauces and mole sauce. This place is «AUTHENTIC» and fabulous. We will be back again very soon! Had a great time! This was our very first visit and it exceeded our expectations. (oh and the restaurant was PACKEDCHOCKFULL on a Sunday night and yet the service was superb!).

I’ve been only once but the food was absolutely amazing! I will definitely be going again. It was pretty busy when I went and the staff was quite busy so they weren’t able to clean the tables immediately but it was very worth it especially with the price of the food and the quality of the meal too

Service is non exist and the beef in the tacos and chalupa seas extremely salty. I stopped going here after ordering and then taking 45 minutes to get my food while folks came in after me and got their orders. I think there must be a serious language barrier here that causes issues with getting orders correct. I will be going to El Patron from now on.

A very casual, no frills restaurant with good food. I had the Tlalpeno soup(good but could use more rice) and the cheese dip(simple, comforting). I really like the variety Mr. Taco offers and their complimentary salsa’s are top notch. I will definitely be coming back for more!

Great authentic Mexican food and a mile long fresh salsa bar! Great flavors and nice and spicy. Not for gringo palates!

Mr. Taco is great for take out or delivery. Dine in, kinda bright, just booths but lotsa local Hispanics which means the food is good. Excellent chiles poblanos and other authentic Mexican fare in big portions at great prices. They have an extensive salsa bar(most are WAY too HOT for most gringos but still really tempting). Ordering on the phone has been challenging in the past, but more recently VERY efficient and large orders delivered with accuracy. Mexican food delivery is a rarity, and we are glad to have Mr. Taco in our neighborhood because it is excellent food as well!

«If your reviews are sounding like essays, start a blog. I can’t read your life story on my phone before ordering from the menu.» [Time & Date of visit]: Multiple weekday and weekend afternoons [Party Size]: 2 – 3 [Location/Ambiance]: Better than a hole in the wall, just due to how messy it can be. The booths are small and maybe fits 4 people max on the left of the restaurant. And 2 on the right. A TV is usually on the Telemundo channel with various soap opera’s and is pretty loud. We usually luck out and order our food and grab a table before a crowd appears. [Service]: Fast casual kind of setup. Order at the counter and pick your own sauces and beverage. While the food is brought out to you via a table number. Tip can be added when paid at the counter. You also leave the plates on the table after finished dining. There aren’t any bussers, so sometimes they don’t do a good job of cleaning after a table leaves. You might be waiting on a table and plates are still sitting there. And yes, the cashiers do speak English clearly. No translators needed. [Food Highlights]: Just to try out all the selection of protein choices, I’ve mainly just ordered taco’s. 3 – 4 is usually enough to fill me up. Most meats are minced up. Exception being shrimp, though the pieces are small. Unless stated otherwise, all tacos come with cilantro and diced onions, and are double stacked on white corn tortilla’s I believe. Though protein choices might be jumbled up on the menu; for burrito’s, you can still order them for taco’s and vice versa. The salsa bar also doesn’t have anything mild to me, it’s all medium and up lol. Even the pico de gayo has a slight kick. Tacos: Pork Pastor — One of my favorites and consistent on the flavor for all the times that I have ordered it. Comes in a type of red marinate, I’m not sure of how to describe it aside from being yummy. Chorizo — Another favorite, as well as consistent. It’s not a slice of chorizo, but deconstructed and in crumbles. Barbacoa(beef) — soft, stewed beef pieces that come in chunks. Not always consistent, but good nevertheless. Camarones /Shrimp — It’s been a hit or a miss sometimes. Sometimes it’s blackened, sometimes it’s just skillet grilled I presumed. I prefer San Pancho’s version instead. Carne Asada — Usually overcooked and chewy. I prefer the other types of meats instead. [Total Bill w/Tip & Tax]: 4 taco’s, it’s less than $ 10. {Summary}: Mr. Taco might sound a bit cheesy and fit for more of taqueria that is adjoined to a gas station I think, but both locations are on point for authentic Mexican street taco’s. The menu is vast though it’s just a la cart or a plate with rice and beans w/a side of shredded lettuce, tomato and sour cream. The value and flavor of the food is on par. Cleanliness might err a few people, and hold up any tables during the lunch rush. But they are worth a visit for lunch and dinner, even when crowded.

Cheese dip was average but most of our party enjoyed the chips it came with. We tried two salsas from the free salsa bar — the guacamole and green tomatillo, and both were very good. The Mexican burrito with cochinita pibil was dry and nothing special but the refried beans it came with were excellent. We tried 3 Mexican tacos — the amount of cilantro and onion was balanced. Of the 3, the cochinita pibil was the favorite, but the pastor was also very good. The cecina beef was pretty tough. The last member of our party had the Tlalpeno soup, which was as good as the other reviews suggest, and the tostada de tingo, which she also enjoyed. Well priced and a very casual atmosphere. They also have a great selection of sodas with real sugar.

Everything we have tried is great. They have authentic Mexican cuisine as well as Tex-Mex. The salsa bar is wonderful– the medium salsa has a really good flavor and has just enough heat for me. You do need to order chips– but don’t skip them, because you need to try the different salsas. My husband loves the Mexican tacos. This is a go-to for Mexican food when we are in the area.

Cheap place for good food. I had two taco supremes and the total was $ 3.10(supreme is beef or chicken, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream on either a hard or soft shell). I would return. They have a salsa bar too, where you can try all their salsas.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 6 years since I wrote my first review of Mr. Taco. Some things have changed — they’ve refreshed the store front and printed a nice fancy menu in English above the cash registers — and some things haven’t — the Tlalpeno Soup! As part of the Farewell Tour of my favorite lunch spots, I again visited recently for that soup. It’s the same flavorful broth, fresh veggies, rice, cheese, chicken, adobo pepper and avocado. It’s a classic, so comforting on a cold winter’s day. The guacamole on the salsa bar is more of a thin sauce than a chunky dip, but it’s still great for dipping your tortillas. They now offer chips with your soup(as opposed to just corn or flour tortillas). Still a great spot, and I’m happy to see it thriving!

After getting hit with a Mexican craving, I used Unilocal to find a taco place near my house(about 4 miles) and this one had great reviews. I was looking for something on the more authentic side, so reading the reviews really helped make the decision to come here. It reminds me of a little taco place up near Riverside that’s attached to a gas station, and which has some of the best tacos I have eaten. While these tacos weren’t quite as good, they were definitely the same style. Fresh ingredients, two corn tortilla loaded with meat and stacked together for maximum stability, and similar price(around $ 1.50−1.90 per taco). I got three tacos, and saved the last one for a later meal. I got the chicken, steak, and pastor(marinated pork). My favorite was the pastor. The marinated pork, understandably, was just far superior in taste to the other meats, which were a little under seasoned but still good. THEVERDICT: Really delicious Mexican-style food. Despite the cheesy Americanized name, this place is a small place with great food at affordable prices. Three tacos will run you around $ 6, and they easily fill someone my size up. There’s also a salsa bar, which is a nice touch. If I have anyone looking for authentic style tacos, this is the place I’ll take them. It’s no frills, fast service, and affordable.

The food has no flavor at all. I asked 4 a mixed sea food ceviche and it was 80% onions and tomatoes and 20% sea food. After 20 min I got my ceviche and they told me that they didn’t have fish… What ceviche with no fish??? Wtf!!! I’m going to come back there are more places around like San poncho, 3 hermanos, sofi cocina. Etc don’t go to mr taco !!!
