Steak ‘n Shake

One member of our party ordered a grill cheese sandwich, the cheese was not even melted. Now tell me who doesn’t know how to cook a grilled cheese sandwich? LOL. On a side note the mens bathroom was one of the nastiest bathrooms I have seen in a family restaurant. I don’t think its had possibly been cleaned in weeks.

Nice people working here but the girl seemed real slow on getting our order correct. The fries were «really salty.» I ordered the portobello & swiss burger and it was delicious.

I had to wait for 3 minutes to be seated and I am still waiting. There are five tenants here that could help. I will update as the situation unfolds.
Update: it’s been 35 minutes and still no stakes or shakes. Very disappointed
Update 2: got our shakes… 50 minutes later never coming back

Please don’t come here! They say open 24 hours but when u come at 3am they put you on hold for 10 mins in the drive thru. Say hello a couple of times with no response! 15 min later u pull up to the widow and nobody answers. Talk about false advertising! They should be ashamed of themselves! Don’t come here! It’s a complete joke and waste of time! I’m tempted to make a complaint!

I used to work at a Steak N Shake when I was a teenager so I know how it can be really slow at times and hard to find help but one time at this location I sat in line for literally 30 minutes got my food sat in line for another 10 minutes and got so irritated that I just drove off without my milkshake that I had already paid for. You need more staff and you shouldn’t expect one person to do 5 jobs.

Great place and a ok service. Everything we ordered comes right. The Nutella milk shake was just delicious. The best thing is that there was just a few costumers in the afternoon!

Came for lunch, was seated but for 20-​minutes no one came to take my drink order, food order, NOTHING!!! They weren’t that busy but the staff seems to be out of it. I got up and left, went to Burger King just up the road. This will be my last visit to this Steak and Shake! Horrible service, if you actually get any service. I had to give them 1-​star, zero stars wasn’t an option.

If I could give this location zero stars I would. Third time is a charm and it will the last time I ever go there again. LAST TIME! 4:
15 Wednesday, I arrive with my two kids. Maybe two tables occupied, and we waited to be seated for about five minutes. We then get to a table directly in the sun. I ask the waitress to close the blinds and she had to ask someone… my daughter then eeks about a tiny bug. No problem, kill it, move on until I notice twenty more under the menu stand and salt pepper. Disgusting! Not sure why I just didn’t walk out at that point. We get seated at another table and wait fifteen minutes to be acknowledge! You try waiting with two littles ones for that long. Once our order is in… well that would be another 25 mins without receiving our shakes. I’m then told our shakes would get paid for, then the waiter tells me the manager is going to pay for our meal. One hour later we get up to leave and in fact do still have to pay for our meal. Just trust me… Don’t ever step foot into this place!

The food was good I really love Steak ‘n Shake but the service was kind of slow. Our waiter was nice and all but it was still slow. It wasn’t packed either.

We have been loyal customers since we moved up here 2 years ago… BUT that’s coming to an end. First of all, drive through is horribly slow & only seems to get worse. Our last four orders have been wrong & not worth the time to go back & get it corrected. Calling to complain does no good since nobody answers the phone. Going inside isn’t any better. Total chaos & nobody seems to have a clue what’s going on. This location has REALLY gone downhill.
The one positive is that the food is still good (IF you get what you ordered!!).
I think this may be a leadership issue. We’ll take our business elsewhere from now on.

Every time I purchase food from here the food is greasy sloppy and unorganized. It bothers me
Because nobody in management ever has anything to say when I bring it up to them. They just apologize Andsay it’s due to being so busy. Really? The only reason they received 2 stars is for the nice girls who work the drivethru and are always smiling

I have no idea why I even go here periodically. This has got to be one of the worst sns around. Service is horrible. I’m not sure if the problem is with the waitstaff or management. Nobody really seems to care much. This place won’t win any cleanliness awards anytime soon. Tables go extended amount of time without being cleaned off. If it wasn’t for my kids demanding a shake I would never return.

Came in on a busy Sunday. Waited over an hour for food. Saw one couple yell at waitress and get up and leave. One man walked up to kitchen window and asked if he could take his food that had been sitting there for several minutes. Staff unorganized, poor management, WAY understaffed.

I’ve only visited the drive-​thru, and as others have mentioned, the service is a little slow.
But the food is good, the prices are low and it’s open ²⁴⁄₇.

Been waiting 30 minutes for one burger and fries. I am still waiting. How in the world can they have a drive thru with these awful wait times? Waited 10 min for a milkshake that was barley even cold. This place is laughable

9:00am not one customer on the store. 5 employees including a manager. I order an egg and cheese biscuit through the drive through. The egg on my sandwich which some employee choose to give me was at least an hour old. It looked like a fake rubber egg. I took it into the store and asked the manager what is this. The poor guy was like a deer on the headlights. Uh i don’t know. Uh I’m sorry. Uh I don’t know who made it. Do you want your money back? He couldn’t explain why if there were no customers in the store I would get some old rancid piece of crap. Where’s the training? Uh I’m sorry. Hope Steal n Shake is happy with the money they are paying these losers. Take a look at the pic I posted. Yummy!!!

I came all the way from New Jersey to grab some famous Frisco melt. Left a bit disappointed. The meat patties in the melt was laughable, barely any meat in the sandwich! The sauce wasn’t enough either. I’m sadden by this because having a Frisco melt was one of the highlights of coming down here.
The shakes also was so sweet and tasted like it was made from powder.

IN AND OUT BURGER!
They should just change the name of this location to In and Out because today I walked in and out. I never made it to the counter because as soon as I entered the lobby, I noticed the filthy mat and dried mud on the floor.
As I opened the second door to approach the counter, I noticed that the store was filthy with dried mud and visible dirt and trash all over the floor and extending into the dining area. I immediately did an about face and left the restaurant because that type of neglect and sloppiness is UNACCEPTABLE!
Why is yesterday’s mud and last month’s dirt still on the floor? If they would allow this type of situation in an area clearly visible to customers, just imagine what it must look like behind closed doors, (in the kitchen).
No thanks, I will just stay hungry for a while longer.

I’m giving them 2 stars because the actual food (burgers, fries) and shakes are good (mainly my kids like this place). Other than that, this place is a disaster. Poor/​slow service inside and unbelievably dirty and disgusting floors and bathrooms. I can’t believe the Manager doesn’t realize how disgusting their floors are… when your shoes stick to the floor, or hit slippery parts, you know you have a problem. Apparently the condition of their floors, the unclean bathrooms, and the occasional unclean table tops and seats do not concern the Manager or his team. Well, it concerns me and my wife and we will no longer be going inside to eat — and only go through drive thru for the kids.

Good food. Nice service. Slow service.
