One of the best burgers ever! The fries seem to have no seasoning on them but the onion rings are pretty amazing. I go nearly every Thursday. The staff is super nice and can be pretty funny too!

The Rhea’s special is the best burger in town. The it’s in the griddle. I’m not sure how they pass their health inspection and I don’t care. Also, double bonus, their ice is like slushie ice.

Food was fantastic, however I had beyond terrible service. I was in there eating with two friends, one of which was not ordering and was just joining us. Upon ordering(just two people) the waiter went into the back and told the cook that we were«gringos». I cannot believe that I would be referred to as something so offensive.

A great«hole in the wall» type atmosphere with a delicious, hearty American diner menu!!!

Good for burgers, fries and a coke. It is a modest sized pattie. But, you can order a double if you are extra hunger. Very casual, good service. Also, you can sit at the bar. And, location is great. Parking is a plenty.

This review will be simple, like the menu here: Rhea’s does have the best burger in Roswell, like their sign says. Nothing fancy. Just a delicious and appropriately-greasy patty grilled on a flat-top stove served on Texas Toast(which they call French bread. I’ll not quibble over terminology.) Vegetarians don’t bother. Health nuts: this is where you come to splurge.

Definitely a hole in the wall feel. Burgers were okay but not great. I prefer lucky’s or vortex.

Felt like I needed a shower after visiting this establishment. Afterward looked up the last time this place was inspected and found it was October 2013!!! After looking for ‘burgers’ in and around Roswell found this one… OMG this place is FILTHY. I was astounded by the # of people there and my daughter just wanted to eat so we stayed. Everything you touch feels like there is grime all over it. Even the styrofoam cups we were given drinks in. And yes everything comes on styrofoam. My daughter’s plate had a melted spot on it. The chairs and furniture are old, dilapidated and simply filthy from people touching the chairs to pull them in and out. Carpet looked soaked with the dirt and grease in the air. Plus food was just ground into the carpet in places. Bathroom was gross as well. Just appalling!

I guess you can just about use any kind of bread as a burger bun but french bread/texas toast for burger bun was great. Milk shakes were great. Service was good. Would prefer burger places like these over fancy shmancy overpriced burger joints that leave you feeling like there isn’t enough food in your stomach after a petite and pretty burger. Plan to visit their original, hole in the wall, Rhea’s 1 soon.

Drive past this place for the past five years and never ventured in until the other night. What a pleasant surprise. No frills on the inside. I’m talking about as basic as they come. I was a bit worried since there were no other customers dining in. We decided just to get our food to go. Upon arriving home and digging into burgers, dogs, fries, onion rings and even a shake we were very pleased. Best part is how the food is very affordable. We will eat here again soon. Try this spot out if you drive by and haven’t given it a shot yet.

This place has quick service, awesome burgers and it’s pretty clean. I think they use the perfect meat ratio for the burgers(80⁄20) which is what an ideal burger should have. Being from California, I wouldn’t say that it was the best burger I’ve ever had(because duh in-n-out burger) but it’ll do while I’m in Atlanta.

I would match up Rhea’s burgers against any burger that costs twice as much(or more). The burgers are made-to-order, juicy, and the veggies are always fresh and crispy. There’s no pretension or douchey affectation, as there is in abundance at «gastropubs» where gastroslubs shell out $ 20 on burgers and fries from potatoes harvested by toxin-free plows pulled by aurochs. Or whatever. The fries are frozen crinkle-cut, your drink will arrive in a styrofoam cup that makes the ozone layer weep, and the ambiance is reminiscent of a friend’s garage… a disorganized friend. None of this matters. What matters is the incredible burgers. They’re probably not the best burgers that I have ever had, but they’re the best burgers in Roswell. I’ve been to Rhea’s 2 and 3 and can discern no significant difference in the burgers. You’d be safe going to either location.

I’ve always passed Rhea’s in Roswell, but finally stopped by this past weekend. We originally tried the Rhea’s in downtown Roswell by Canton Street, but their closed on Sundays. This Rhea’s, however, is open 7 days a week. Located next to Bruster’s and a «We Buy Gold,» place, it’s an outparcel building facing W. Crossville, in front of Trader’s Joes and next to Taco Mac. We said Taco Mac would be our back-up plan is Rhea’s didn’t work out. When we walked in, we were confused. Do we seat ourselves? Do we wait to be seated? There was no signage indicating what to do. We stood there awkwardly for awhile and finally just sat at the counter. At first glance, this place is old. Nothing hangs on the walls. The bar stools at the counter seem to have been claimed from a garage sale. The TV, is a 27″ tube TV that hangs precariously from the ceiling and doesn’t work. There are no booths here, just tables and chairs. The chairs have seen better days. Faded and worn green padding is on all the chairs with tables that also look like they are from a garage sale. Every piece of furniture in this place is outdated. On each table is the bare minimum. Salt, pepper, ketchup and a menu. The menu is printed double-sided and laminated, then placed in a small picture holder. What you see is what you get. The menu is really small. Burgers, a hot dog, chicken fingers, Philly cheese steak, BLT and grilled cheese are your main options. For sides, fries, onion rings and coleslaw. They have a kid’s menu, some milkshakes and drinks. That’s it. The place was pretty full and people kept coming in. There were only three people working, two cooks and a server/cashier. The server lady was busy, so one of the cooks finally came over to us. He didn’t introduce himself. No greetings. He lifted his eyebrows in a gesture of, «What do you want?» We ordered two waters to begin with while we looked at the menu. He nodded and walked away. Maybe he doesn’t speak English? He didn’t get our drink orders, instead he went back to the grill. The server woman brought us our drinks. She smiled, said hi and was generally pleasant. Not a minute later, the cook came back with two waters, saw ours and realized he was too slow. He set them aside on the counter and took our order. I got the Philly cheese steak with all the fixin’s and he ordered the Rhea’s Special. Both with fries. It took maybe 10 minutes for our food. Served on styrofoam plates with no silverware, my Philly cheese steak looked like it was going to break the plate. Loaded with so much cheese, pepper and mushrooms that it was bursting from the sides, it was difficult to know where to start with my sandwich. The other half of the plate was fries. The cheese steak was really good. The bun was slightly toasted and had a nice firmness to it. And it was chock-full of sliced steak, melted cheese, peppers and mushrooms. Each bite was delicious and very filling. The fries, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. Like another Unilocaler said, these fries are frozen crinkle fries. How do I know? When sitting at the counter, I saw two deep freezers against the wall by the window. I saw one of the cooks open it and take out a huge bag of frozen crinkle fries. The whole freezers was full of fries. There was no seasoning on the fries. Just bland fries potatoes. Ketchup was necessary to save them. From my vantage point, I could also see under the counters. Cleaner supplies on the bottom shelf — good. But everything else was disorganized and haphazardly thrown about. All their supplies come from Sam’s Club and are Great Value brand. Nothing is made from scratch here. You’re just paying someone else to cook your food. And the good thing about that is the cheap prices. This place is superdy, duperdy cheap! Milkshakes for $ 2.50. My meal was $ 7.99. His meal was ~$ 6. Water is free. Because everything is store-bought and served on disposable plates and with only three people working, they cut their overhead costs and pass the savings into you. The quality isn’t top-notch, I definitely don’t agree with the«Best Burger in Roswell» claim, but it’s a decent burger at a good price. From what we saw, this place is very popular despite their originality. We saw a LOT of families and older couples in this place. It’s family friendly and perfect for a cheap dinner or lunch. And, you can always pop over to Bruster’s for dessert!

After reading all the 5 star reviews here, I stopped by Rhea’s for lunch… What the heck!!! Not even close to a 5 star. First, let me just say that I am more than willing to bestow 5 stars on a dive, provided they are worthy… and when you fail to serve a single scratch made item(minus the ground beef), its not gonna go above 4. When you fail to serve quality frozen/non scratch items, not gonna go above 3. When you serve ridge cut frozen fries that I would suspect they got from Costco(and not the good kind… the kind you get at your kids baseball game from the consession stand), you aint going above 2 star… even if the flavor is ok. Nothing in this place was scratch made. The«french bread» was texas toast from a bag, the fries(yuck). While I’m not going to endorse any particular place in this review, there is a certain«chain» down the way a bit that at least has fresh cut, seasoned fries… yes, Rhea didn’t even season the fries! Right out of the fryer and on to the plate. The cook wore a shirt that said something to the affect of «If you don’t like the food, there’s the door.» Fortunately, the door was right where I left it on the way in. Don’t waste your time, trust me.

Rhea’s 3 is a dive burger joint next to one of those WEBUYGOLD places in a shopping center in Roswell. You’d miss it if you didn’t look for it. It’s tucked away next to an Arby’s. We actually spotted it while on a job in Roswell, looking out the window of the Arbys and decided to hit it on the way back from the site. Now, I’ve read the reviews others have left, and I’ve had 5 guys, I’ve had square 1 burger. and I like to think I know what a good burger is. and let me tell you. THIS is a GOODBURGER! The atmosphere is. well. smelly. smelly, crusty, run down, no penny left un-pinched, no unnecessary finishing in place. You walk in and you think«eugh! wow. should we go somewhere else?» But let me tell you. DON’T TURNAROUND! SITDOWN! EAT! You’ll LOVE it. Like many have said, Rhea’s has what they call«french toast» bread as an option. This is actually texas toast. I recommend it! The patties appear to be hand patted. They’re a bit thin.(double is recommended for the hungry, or. .pretty much anyone that’s over 95 pounds in weight.) but they’re delicious. Service is prompt and friendly. So, here’s what you do if you find yourself in Roswell at lunch time: 1. Find Rhea’s 3. 2. Go inside 3. Order the double with french toast, onion rings, and a side of coleslaw. 4. LOVEIT!
