The food was phenomenal! As an ITPer it is rare that I travel to the burbs for good food, but thankfully the Northpoint IMAX sweetened the deal… lucked up and grabbed a reservation before the movie. Everything in previous reviews are true. Scallops, chicken, mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, bourbon ice cream… delicious! Matt is amazing

Belated review from our experience in November 2013. My boyfriend ordered a special — something like rabbit and dumplings — which was ridiculously undercooked. The rabbit meat was undercooked and dumplings were raw and floury in the middle. Unfortunately he didn’t want to send it back, but we won’t return due to this experience. :/

Food was excellent but atmosphere ruined the effect. Froze to death at a table literally two inches from the front door. Shrimp and Grits was very good and so was the She Crab Soup. I called for a reservation and they never called back. WTF. I guess they have so many customers they don’t care. I will go back in summer and won’t bother with a reservation

Still a very good restaurant. However, the fried chicken I had there a couple of weeks ago was way over breaded. Based on my experience with fried chicken, I would venture to guess that they use some type of a wet batter-it was definitely way too thick on my chicken versus the chicken ordered by another dinner guest. When I pulled off a piece of the very thick crust, you could see the still wet batter underneath. Additionally, another dinner guest had the pork chop, which was overcooked, thereby making it a bit tough and chewy. Quality control was lacking on this particular day. I wasn’t crazy about the kale salad either, with the buttermilk dressing. Normally, this restaurant is excellent.

Best fried chicken. Hands down. We sampled some amazing tacos with a sauce that lifted me straight up to heaven! The dessert is fabulous too. We tried so many things and not one thing was just meh; ALL dishes were amazing!!! The server was on point, we loved the intimacy of the restaurant and I hope to heck I get to go back to Georgia someday to revisit the pearl of Roswell.

Always amazing, especially when dining early in the evening at the bar. Tonight Kelly was delightful. She not only made perfect cocktails but expertly guided me though the menu for a great meal. Thanks!

Well well well… since our friends know us really well, last Christmas we got a gift card from this restaurant. Our great friend thought it was a great date spot and we would love it, sooo,… took us 6 months to come haha. I hate that it took us this long because it was an amazing and enjoyable experience, let me explain. First, we got there at 5:45pm since that’s the only time we could get our reservations for. Pulled up to the back of the building to park, and glad that we could find a spot. Got in and quickly got seated. Our waitress Sarah was the bomb, she brought out the menu and quickly explained everything the restaurant was about, amongst specials of the day. We later put in our drink orders in and chilled over conversation. A staff members brought out some complementarty cheese sticks for us to try, and those were great. After looking over the menu we decided to get an appetizer, and the provisions plate caught our attention as it changes everyday. The plate yesterday had brats with pickled relish, Gouda cheese, a brat spread and some bread, great plate, I believe we finished everrrrything on it, extra bread and all! Later, after putting our entrees in, Sarah brought out the dishes; I got the Shrimp and Grits, which consists of grilled Gulf shrimp, stone ground grits, Udderly Cool Dairy gouda and tomato-bacon sauce… delicious! My wife ordered Fried Chicken, Southern fried, pastured all-natural chicken with Mac ‘n Cheese(Velveeta bechamel, toasted). Portion size was huggeee for her, and had to box half of the meal home. But, she was raving about how good it was. Lastly, after reading a ton of reviews everyone kept talking about the bourbon and how good it was, so, i had to check it out for myself somehow. Looked at the dessert menu and the Bourbon Butter Pecan was available, so ordered some and it was the best ice cream I’ve ever had, hands down(Sorry Jeni’s) Overall, really nice place. Has the neighborhood restaurant feel. its tucked in in Downtown Roswell. Staff was great. Menu was simple and straight to the menu. They carry a «Simple. Seasonal. Southern.» philosophy, which I really appreciated and enjoyed very much, We will be food citizens of this area in the months to come! Parking: Very important, if your reservation is early then you can find a spot behind the restaurant(About 10 – 15 spots total) and then people park behind you or right next to the building on the gravel entrance. Had a little bit of an issue coming out as cars were so tight in there, but we made it. Just an observation for people coming here! 4.5 Stars from me!

The food was great. The parking, ehh, not so much. Get there early or you’ll be driving around looking for a place to park. But back to the good stuff. Such a great place to eat and unwind with some classic southern favorites and some unique twists. The drinks are good, but they are proud of them. It’ll cost you a little more if you’re a bourbon fan. I recommend sitting on the front porch if it’s available.

I have been wanting to eat here for months. My husband surprised me with reservations here for our 6 year anniversary. Signature dishes are the fried chicken and the country fried steak, which is what we ordered. The country fried steak comes with Vidalia onions gravy and a wedge salad. Literally the best thing ever. The fried chicken comes with your choice of side. My husband got Mac and cheese and it was delicious. The fried chicken was flavorful and tasted so fresh. I ordered a mint Mojito and they picked the mint fresh for the drink, it tasted so fresh. Foe dessert we ordered the blonde with ice cream and pecans. Came in a skillet, it was just extremely hot and just didn’t taste as good because it was so hot. The staff is very attentive and nice. They are always refilling and taking plates right when you finish or need it. Would highly recommend. They also give you your check in a southern literature book. And encourage you to write in it and make your mark.

I was very excited to visit Table & Main. I actually booked my reservation months in advance anticipating my trip to Atlanta to house hunt for my upcoming move and my fiancé’ birthday. The location is adorable. The layout is super cute. What was not adorable is the awful table our hostess sat us at. In the corner of the main dining room we were sat against a wall in the corner. There were a bunch of open tables near the windows and an awesome looking outdoor area. Still kicking myself for not saying something sooner but I do hate to complain sometimes and I anticipated a divine meal. Well the meal wasn’t divine but parts were great. The great you ask? The meatloaf meatballs hands down incredible. So so good. They deserve 10 stars. My hubby ordered shrimp and grits and I ordered a burger + mac and cheese. The burger with bacon jam was awesome and very well cooked + seasoned. The«gas station» fries were AWFUL. Completely hard in the middle and it was such a shame because the small bites from the ends were delicious. The shrimp and grits were also very good but a bit pikey on the portion. 5 shrimp?!? The mac and cheese dropped this review one whole star. Our waitress who clearly told us how long she’s been here and it was obvious how proud she is of the menu etc(which is fantastic) didn’t take the mac off the bill when I told her I couldn’t eat it because it was crazy insane bland aka under seasoned(that’s what I said). She did ask if I wanted something else but no I don’t. I want bad ass mac & cheese… Not something else. I literally dropped a star when I saw the check about 5 mins ago. That’s not customer service or southern hospitality. I was very disappointed overall.

Southern comfort food beats all. It’s even better when you feel like you’re eating right at home. Literally. The restaurant itself is a cozy house with tables and a small bar inside. Only downside is that parking is so limited and the parking lot in the back is pretty small. Otherwise, the food is spot on. For an appetizer, my friend and I got the Hog ‘n Quilts(bbq pork in chive crepes with a vinegar sauce). Very generous portions and quite tasty! For our entrees, I got the fried chicken with mac n’ cheese and my friend got the beef. Both were delicious. Note: the fried chicken is MASSIVE. Two huge things of chicken, and you’re just in awe as soon as it’s set in front of you. You won’t be disappointed. Service was alright, nothing spectacular, and a little bit lacking. I would definitely come back here if I am in Roswell. Every bite was worth it!

We come back here just about every time we’re in Roswell and for good reason. Their fried chicken still hasn’t been conquered and probably the best item(the crab chowder) still leaves me with happy food memories. It’s fun to come with friends or families, experiment with their cocktails and extensive bourbon list, share the dishes around the table, and order a few sides to pass around. Reminds me of some of the better new-American Brooklyn restaurants with a southern, unapologetic twist.

Summary: Bourbon drinks, bourbon whip cream, and southern charm Southern heart-felt charm is served up with a shot of bourbon at this southern tavern called Table & Main. Chef Justin White wanted to take me out to a nice place and he knew I would love it. As soon as we entered, I felt like I was going to a southern friend’s home. The hospitality and service was excellent all throughout. Our server was very knowledgeable and kind and provided great recommendations and information about our meal. I even got to meet the chef de cuisine named Woody Back and he was really friendly. The support staff here are great and always kept my water filled, my drinks and meal in appropriate timing, and anticipated our needs. Here are the items that we got and I would recommend all of them. Most especially I would recommend the Dark Chocolate Pudding with Bourbon Whip Cream. Drinks wise, we got the Manhattan and the«Girly Drink». Of course I would get the Girly Drink, because I like girly drinks like sex on the beaches and cosmos. I usually don’t like Bourbon because it is too strong for me, but this was great! I learned how great bourbon probably is when your throat hurts(since it burned a little in a good way). Chef Justin White’s Manhattan was too strong for me, so the Girly Drink was perfect. Food wise, She-Crab Soup: This soup has a chili oil kick. You wouldn’t expect it to have the spice by looking at it, but the creamy soup tastes amazing and the crab inside is fresh. Hogs in a Blanket: I thought it was okay. I liked the pulled pork and it was great with the vegetables it comes with, but the chive-crêpe was a little different. I have only had sweet crepes before, so it was different. Southern-Fried Chicken: Chef Justin White really encouraged me to try this! It tasted great! The serving size is HUGE. If you get this, you can share with someone. They give you two huge pieces of chicken. The seasoning was great. It wasn’t over-cooked. It was juicy and the chicken itself was fresh quality. You can really tell the ingredients are high quality. I enjoyed leftovers the next day and the day after. Collard-Greens: these were surprisingly awesome! They have a little sweet taste. I didn’t expect them to be so great. Beats Salad: These were simple and healthy-tasting. They came with a little bit of goat cheese and nuts and were the lightest of all the foods we tried. This is the epitome of fresh. Macaroni & Cheese: These were great too! I liked the little macaroni pieces and the bread crumbs on top. The cheese wasn’t too overwhelming for me. I was just too full to really enjoy these. It took bringing these to work the next day for lunch to fully appreciate the mac & cheese. Dark Chocolate Pudding with Bourbon Whip Cream: I didn’t grow up in the south, but this dessert is suppose to be reminiscent of your grandmother’s chocolate pudding that she made you when you were young. It tasted AMAZING! The bourbon whip cream gives it an interesting kick and the dark chocolate tastes great. I savored every bite.

The fried chicken here is unbelievably good, I grew up in the south but haven’t lived in a southern state from nearly 30 years. I always try to find great fried chicken in San Francisco but I am always sorely disappointed. I eagerly anticipated this meal and hoped it would live up to my heightened expectations for fried chicken in Atlanta. In short, I was blown away! The flavors, the crispy skin and juicy meat all came together in a beautiful way. As a pleasant surprise, Table & Main stocks some fantastic boutique California wines. I was shocked to find an Anderson Valley Pinot Noir from Copain on the wine list. I just happened to visit Copain a few months ago on a trip to Mendocino County and I was stunned to find this tiny wine producer on a wine list in Georgia. Kudos to Table & Main on all fronts!

A welcome respite from the busy urban life and the uniformity of a cubicle. This restaurant has defined Southern hospitality for me. Set in a country house surrounded by the a thick cluster of trees, this restaurant feel like I’m visiting someone’s home for a special dinner. I was greeted warmly by the hostess. My table wasn’t ready so I sat at the bar and ordered an Arnold Palmer. They didn’t have lemonade but made something similar with sweet tea, sours, and sugar. Awesome! We were seated promptly after our party all arrived. It was too bad it was raining or we could have sat on the patio. Food: — She-crab soup — Warm and smooth soup. Loved the crab its in the soup. The chili oil gave it a nice quick. Sweet, nutty, and salty. Tasted like refined cream soup. — Fried Chicken w/grilled corn — The reason I came here and it did not disappoint. Tender chicken. Crispy, sweet, tangy batter. And the grilled corn was amazing. I loved the grilled flavor and the chili sauce that came with it. — Peach Hand Pie — Delicious sour cream blueberry ice cream. It went really well the fried peach pie. Our server was gracious and warm. He introduced us to dishes and let us know about their tradition of having the guests sign Southern literature. Would gladly come back when I’m here for business again.

Nestled in downtown historic Roswell, you will find a wonderful Southern food restaurant called Table & Main. It looks like someone’s cute house at first glance. There’s a driveway to the right of the restaurant that leads you down to their very small parking lot. If you can’t find parking in the lot there is $ 3 parking at the Antique mall a few blocks down. My first visit was last Wednesday night for our«Farewell Georgia» dinner with a friend. Of course we chose a Southern food restaurant to eat at because where we’re moving to, Southern/Soul food restaurants are scarce. From the moment we walked into Table & Main the service was excellent. We had reservations at 7:30 pm, and we were promptly seated. I love the«southern home» with a touch of upscale ambiance this place has. They have a good cocktail menu with bourbon being the primary ingredient. They also have a decent beer & wine menu, but I would go for one of their bourbon cocktails. I ordered«The Girly Drink» which was bourbon and sparkling wine. I really liked it and I’m not much of a Bourbon fan. We had the fried okra as an appetizer and it was delicious! It came with two dipping sauces and a side of «bread and butter» pickle slices. For my entrée I had to order the Fried Chicken with a side of Mac & Cheese. Make sure you come hungry because it is a big portion! The chicken tasted amazing! Some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had at a restaurant. My husband ordered the Shrimp and grits and it tasted very good as well! I have never had shrimp and grits with a tomato and bacon sauce on top. It had an interesting flavor. I really like Table & Main. The food is amazing, service is top notch, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. I’m glad we experienced it in our last days living in Georgia.

Man oh man. This was GOOD. Cool little house tucked away on Canton St in Roswell. She-Crab Soup and the Hog ‘n Quilts to start was a solid choice; man, that soup was incredible. Both recommendations of our waiter, who was quite the salesman and very cool. And then the chicken. Wow. I have the appetite of a champion and I could barely finish. Fried Green Tomatoes on the side made it all the better. Lightly fried, deliciously seasoned … incredibly not greasy for a meal consisting completely of fried food. And the service here was fantastic. The food came out at light-speed(probably because it’s so darn busy), but they let us take our time ordering and didn’t rush us out when we were done. We literally sat around and chatted for an hour without ever being bothered except to refill our waters. Atmosphere is great, too — I loved the«check in a piece of Southern literature» touch. We got ‘Fried Green Tomatoes’. The ‘house’ vibe is super cool, too, although it does make the place a bit cramped and the parking can be a challenge. Wouldn’t be an issue if this place wasn’t so popular, but it doesn’t seem like that’s gonna happen anytime soon!

If you were to search«good looking» using an online encyclopedia, I would imagine Table and Main having several entries. Its looks are not just limited to its charming interior and exterior, but the food and staff as well. T H E S C E N E I’m convinced that Ryan(the owner) hand selects every one of the staff based on how good looking they are. Not the gritty, overly-sexual look you find at Tilted Kilt, but the humble and wholesome guy/girl next door look. Our waiter was so good looking I jokingly asked him to find us another server! He had the whole Ryan Gosling vibe going and what guy wants his wife looking at a dude like that for the next hour! Turns out my 18 year old Goddaughter was the one who caught the goo-goo eyes. Every time he came to the table and flashed his smile I thought she was going to faint. I spent the afternoon at Old Mill Park taking graduation pics of her and afterwards we decided to come get a bite to eat. It was a Sunday around 5:30 pm and we were lucky to score a table for 5 without any reservations or wait. — — — — — — - — - - T H E F O O D My previous visit to Table and Main was the last stop of our Burger Tour in 2013. This time, I was anxious to return to try the fried chicken the reviews so raved about. However, I was torn because I also wanted the shrimp n’ grits. Lucky for me my foodie Goddaughter was willing to order either plate and split hers with me. So I got to sample both the dishes I’ve been dreaming of trying ever since my last visit. SOUTHERNFRIEDCHICKEN(5+ Stars) $ 19 — If you’ve heard the chicken here is the best, then believe the hype. It got better and better with each and every succulent bite. I’ve tried«best» fried chicken claims from all over the country, yet many of them wouldn’t be worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as Table & Main’s fried chicken. Definitely ranks in my top 10 favorites.
SHECRABSOUP(4.5 Stars) $ 12 — Beautifully presented and wonderful in taste. The flavor takes me back to a dish I had when I was young called Seafood Newburg, I would love to make a special request and ask if they would add shrimp to this soup and pour it over a plate of white rice. It would be nearly identical to Seafood Newburg and make me one of the happiest customers ever.
SHRIMP&GRITS(4 Stars) $ 18 — I order S&G wherever I go, but oddly I don’t really like grits. If I am to LOVE this meal, the grits have to be so elevated in flavor that they don’t taste like grits at all. The chef here does a great job in accomplishing that, but if I’m being honest, there are a few other places around town where I enjoy them much more. Still, these are truly worthy of a visit.
SCALLOPS(4 Stars) $ 24 — My wife enjoyed them, but didn’t like the dandelion greens that came with this dish. Putting that aside, the fact she actually ate seafood and liked it was a milestone.
HOMEMADEICECREAM Our server gave us a complimentary sample of the Bourbon Butter Pecan. Delicious!
— — — — — — - — - - T H E V E R D I C T The Southern Fried Chicken sealed the deal for me to bump my previous 4-Star rating up a star. I may honestly never order any other entrée on the menu(but that) ever again… not that everything on the menu doesn’t sounds amazing. It’s just if I’m anywhere near this place it’s going to be hard(if not impossible) to shake my new found craving for the delicious juicy flavor of their fried chicken.
