Still fast friendly service and great burgers. Milk shake I think is over priced for what you are getting(not even a full glass) but overall a good go-to when in the mood for burgers.

Two steps above Burger Fi, Five Guys etc. and way ahead of the greasy spoons. Put a burger in a bowl if you’re eating healthy — sub chicken, turkey, veg or tuna for beef. This is the best burger in N Fulton.

It’;s ok. They have taken something as simple as making burgers and complicated it by justifying it with their own concept. Its a little over priced but he food is tasty.

I love the burger options at the Counter and get take out frequently. Since I don’t eat beef, I enjoy being able to get turkey or the house made vegan veggie. It’s not cheap, though. I usually get take out because I find the«ambiance» there unpleasant. The metal chairs and poor acoustics do not make for a nice evening out. The take out service is pleasant and efficient.

I ordered the salad bowl and chose my toppings. It was one of the best salads I’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time.

We love eating here. Great helpful staff, fresh yummy food, you can’t ask for more. The kids love their meals, we love the mini burger beer combo on Tuesdays. Great place, great vibe!

Hadn’t been here since 2013, so was really excited to revisit. Went for lunch, and arrived long before the place got crowded. Waitress took our drink orders first and then food orders. My friend ordered ½ lb burger plate, and ordered a turkey burger w/jalapeño, grilled pineapple, grilled onions and gruyère. Our orders took FOREVER…30 minutes later, her burger is actually 1⁄3 lb and they gave me grilled chicken instead of turkey burger. Waited another 5 mins for them to redo. Tasted good, but the experience left a bad taste. Hoping this was just a bad day, and will indulge them one more time, since I work nearby.

We eat here regularly. Fresh and interesting ingredients make great burgers. So many toppings and sauces to choose from. Love that you can put your burger in a bowl of lettuce, and they have different types of lettuce, not to mention all the types of rolls available. We especially love going on Tuesdays for the mini burgers /beer combos. 4 tasty sliders and 4 mini beers, quite a meal. Love the fries here too, shoestring and sweet potato. They have a combo plate where you can get both. Both managers are great and not in the office. They regularly interact with customers and staff. This is our favorite burger place, buts it so much more than a burger place.

If you don’t like your burger here you have only one person to blame: you since you are in charge of designing your own custom burger. Think of this place as an upscale version of Fuddruckers. The toppings are numerous and very good and their sauces are incredible. You also have a lot of choices for bread and cheese. This place also serves great milkshakes. Service is amazing. One time my wife and I came in 10 minutes before they closed and they welcomed us with open arms and did not pressured us to hurry up.

Great burgers that you can customize to your liking, the food has never been a disappointment here. They have their own menu or you can«create your own» burger, which is generally what I do as it’s fun and you can pick almost any side you can think of to put on your burger. The burgers are juicy, and the toppings/sides are fresh and tasty. The staff is great, and the atmosphere is clean and bright. The only reason I took two stars off is the price, it’s way over-priced for a burger. I like getting a burger, but not for ~$ 17 a burger.

We had two burgers built custom with more ingredients than you can bite into! I highly recommend this place. It’s a destination for sure! The staff is very proud of there burgers. The restaurant itself is very clean and atmosphere is fun and inviting! The presentation of the burgers was spot on! These burgers you won’t want to share for sure!

I’ll start by saying the prices here are a little more than I would have wished, but the quality and service were great. I really enjoyed all the menu options and I chose to crest my own burger which was delicious. They let you choose whether you have a bun or bunless and has many different types of buns such as multigrain, Hawaiian roll, pretzel bun, English muffin, etc. Then you choose your meat which can be a burger, chicken, and a few other options. They have many sauces to pick from and lots of toppings such as fresh jalapeños, grilled pineapple, guacamole, avocado, red peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, and much much more. They also have many cheeses. I love my burger I wouldn’t say there was anything special about the actual taste of the beef, but with the spicy jack cheese, grilled pineapple, hot wing sauce, tomatoes, spinach, red peppers and fresh jalapeños it was a delicious combination. I also really enjoyed the sweet potato fries I got as my side which added another $ 3 to the bill, but absolutely worth it. I will definitely be returning to try something else here. Service was amazing and the overall time for the burger to come out wasn’t too bad. The restaurant itself is pretty cool and has a bar with TVs. They also do takeout and have online ordering.

In the midst of a business trip I made a pit stop to The Counter and it’s easily one of the best burgers I’ve had. Order a burger exactly the way you like it. Exotic meats like bison, sauces like Thai peanut and sweet sriracha, and crispy shoestring fries. The Counter also offers a nice variety of draft beers and milk shakes, all for reasonable prices(at least by New York and New Jersey standards). In a convenient location and wide parking lot go and grab a burger!

SOOO overpriced. The burgers were fine, nowhere near great. We had 2 — 1⁄3 burgers with regular toppings, one order of fries, 2 kid meals, 4 sodas, and one milkshake for the kids to share. The total was $ 88. That’s insane, because it was not worth that much. Conclusion: overpriced above average burgers.

From our house — this place almost the same distance from the best burger in ATL(Grindhouse) — but in the opposite direction, but we go north more than we go into the city… and the wife loves burgers, so I think it will be a new stop… Was it good? Yes. Great/Top 10 Burger of all time? No. You make the call — 2 above average burgers(one 1/3lb, one ½ lb), one order onion rings, one order of sweet potato fries, one order fried pickles, 1 deviled egg, 2 soft drinks — $ 56 with tip. Grindhouse doesn’t have eggs(not sure on pickles, either) — but similar order there under $ 35, and WAY better… Cheeseburger Bobby’s/Smash-burger both in the under $ 35 category, and I did not see a substantial difference between The Counter and these two establishments. So, not bad… but I thought it was overpriced.

With all the reinvented and reimagined burger joints, this place sets high on my scale. There just cannot be enough words to describe how good the food is here. Everything that we have had here: ahi, tuna, bison, beef, fries, onion straws, sweet potato fries, milk shakes, draft beer, everything is good. They began as a unique create-your-own burger joint, but they have since expanded the menu quite a bit. They now have starters which we sampled last time in. We had the deviled eggs and the Southwest cheddar cheese spread — delicious. Then it is on to what we come here for — the burgers. The Counter gives you options in burger weight ranging from 1/3, ½, and 1 lb. You go ahead and attempt to eat the 1 lb is you want to. I normally get the ½ lb and I like mine topped with either Tillamook Cheddar or Gouda cheese, sauteed mushrooms, sauteed red onion, and Applewood smoked bacon. The burgers are all cooked to order so I can get the temperature to a nice pink medium. The wife usually opts for one of their Market Selections which is usually some type of fish, but this time she went with the recently added bison burger. Again, delicious! This place is not cheap, but they set the bar high and they meet all expectations and in some cases soar beyond.

This place is a paradise for burger lovers. I am a vegetarian and do visit regularly here(at least once a month). It’s not one of those burger joints where a veggie burger means putting a black bean/soya patty along with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions in a bun. Here you can customize your burger the way you want it, and you can’t go wrong with any customization. This place has always served the best veggie burgers that I have eaten in Atlanta area. Recently, a close competition has opened nearby @Avalon ;o) hard to say which one is better than the other!

Man did I have a good burger yesterday! It was my first visit to The Counter and I had a great experience. The staff is out-of-this-world awesome. I mean, like seriously, they could train other servers and hosts/hostesses on how to treat customers. I love the concept of building your own burger, I’m not sure why anyone would be confused by their menu(as mentioned in other reviews). There is a large selection of burgers and other sandwiches in the front of the menu but if you want your own creation then you take the menu in back and check off what kind of meat and which toppings you’d like. It really couldn’t be simpler. Makes me wish this was available at ALL restaurants! I custom built a bison burger with all sorts of yummy toppings(praise the Lord, they have alfalfa sprouts!! I). It was a fuzz on the dry side but it was my own fault, I ordered it well-done as that is the way you should always have ground meat. It was HUGE. They put together an awesome burger and I could only eat half. I finished it off late last night. Yum! *side note– this is not the place for a first date, only go here with people with whom you are comfortable. You WILL have burger all over your face, they are big burgers overflowing with yummy goodness. I had an order of sweet potato fries, they were pretty standard. My dining partner had the onion strings, their version of onion rings, and OMG next time we go that’s all I’m going to order. The onion strings alone are worth the trip there. We also shared a banana split milkshake that was everything you could ask for in a shake. There are so many great things about The Counter, its a shame they are so expensive. This is not a place you’d probably want to have a big family dinner on a regular basis as you can expect your burger to be $ 20 – 25, and then with sides and drinks you run up quite a tab, it was over $ 50 for just the two of us. I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we will likely be back but, unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be back often. It is not difficult to get good burgers at half or even a quarter of the price. I feel like I need to reiterate that the customer service, from beginning to end, is stellar and the place was very clean and attractive. Thanks all!

«If your reviews are looking like essays, start a blog. I can’t read your life story on my phone before ordering from the menu» Time & Date of visit: 2:30 pm on a Friday Party Size: 2 Location/Ambiance: It seems that the restaurant at this hour, most of the lunch rush is gone. Which is I think a better idea, especially if it’s your first time. Going through all the options and check boxes can take a bit. Service: Our server, Deirdre, asked if my roommate and I were here our first time, which replied with yes. She then went to explain the setup of the menu and how to order. The burgers/chicken sandwich have the choice of toppings and sides. While the drinks and other starters/entrees are ordered separately. When our food arrived, my burger was missing a bit of the toppings I selected. Our server apologized and went to check in the kitchen, she promptly returned with a dish of the bacon and veggies. Food Highlights: The burgers and chicken sandwich are both given the option of 1/3, ½, and a full pound of weight pre-cooked. How do you manage to cook a full pound of chicken for sandwich is beyond me, maybe on the next try if I’m starving. Then you select everything from type of bread,(or no bread if you just want protein), toppings, sauces, and then a side which adds $ 3. If you are overwhelmed by the amount of choices, there are«pre-constructed» templates of burgers to help you in the menu. Beef burger 1⁄3: It’s a burger place, so let’s see how their main selling dish is. I requested my burger to be cooked medium. The server advised right after, that it will be pink inside slightly. I’m guessing that some people want medium well and confuse it for medium and send it back. The burger was cooked a tad slight over medium from resting, which was fine by me. Throughout each bite, the patty was juicy. I did make sure to drain it a bit before eating and having all the grease on my lap. The tillamook cheddar wasn’t as sharp as I was expecting but played well with the slight saltiness of the bacon I selected. It’s a good burger. Is it the best that Atlanta has to offer, I would have to say no. Though this is biased after having a H&F double cheeseburger. But for the surrounding area for lunch, this is up there for a burger joint. Sweet Potato fries: Texture wise, they were cooked well. Crispy, and light on the grease. A hint of sweetness on the back end. I’m not sure if the horseradish aioli was for the fries or for my burger but it adds a bit of contrast when dipped. Regular table side ketchup goes well if you prefer. Pretty tasty if you crave something other then the default french fries. Nutella and Pretzel Milkshake: Our server also informed me that this is one of the new shakes and that they sell a lot of it. The first sip, and I can see why. The nutella is subtle, not overpowering with a chocolate overload. It still rich, don’t let your guard down on that. Bits of pretzel are smashed just right to add a slight«crispy» texture while still sized enough to slurp through a «Boba Tea» straw. The best comparison would be biting a slightly melted kit-kat. Definitely a sugar rush waiting at the end of this. I think having it to go as a dessert, would have been better then with my meal. Total Bill w/Tip & Tax: A 1⁄3 burger and a 1⁄3 chicken sandwich, fries, 2 shakes and a coke, the tab came up to around $ 44 something. $ 22.47 on the split before tip. Kind of up there for just a burger for lunch. Summary: With the vast, and maybe over loading, selection of how you can customize your burger/chicken sandwich, expect to pay slightly more then a usual burger place. Is it worth it? I would say yes if you like more than just a simple cheese burger. Even more if your dinner guest is extremely picky.

In an era of «better burger» concepts, the Counter is a pretty fresh perspective. Highlights: You can put your burger on a decent salad: greens, spinach, whatever. They are adding a ton of free toppings you can pick There are all sorts of premium toppings that are worth the $$(avocado, bacon, egg, etc) Get the truffle fries!

It was a long day of meeting with a potential customer. They wanted to treat us out to eat lunch but my boss and I passed. We just wanted to get out and eat something that we wanted near our office. He told me about this customized burger joint. I was like«I don’t eat beef usually. Is there anything else?». He looked at me like I was crazy for asking him. He said, «dude just come and I’m sure they can accommodate you». So we parked our car and went inside. We were promptly greeted by a very friendly hostess who sat us at the bar. I got the menu and started looking through when my boss stopped me and said«the custom menu is in the back.» I took out a clean ordering menu and started checking things off. To my surprise, they offer Ahi Tuna and Bison. I was like«What what what?». Choose Meat: Ahi Tuna Choose Cheese: Spicy Cheddar Choose Sauce: Roasted Garlic Aioli Choose Toppings: Guacamole, Raw onions, Lettuce Choose Sides: Side Salad(yes I passed french fries, sweet potato fries and cole slaw) Choose Bun: Gluten Free!!! I have to say that it was one of the best burgers that I’ve had in YEARS. The spicy cheddar and roasted garlic aioli was a perfect combo. Gluten free bun added texture and not overpowering the tuna and the sauce. Raw onion brought out much more flavor and texture also. What a great lunch. I want to return to try their pre-made burgers and see if they can do better than my customized ahi tuna burger.
