Came here with my 10 year old, who is a self professed burger connoisseur. Started with onion rings(fantastic) and wedge salad(way better than expected in a burger joint). She had cheeseburger and fries which were both really good. Buns were buttery and toasted to perfection. I had the Saltimbocca burger(veal patties, prosciutto, tomatoes, mozzarella) with sage mayo and a fried sage leaf as an extra bonus. Absolutely loved it. Will be back for sure.

Went there once and that’s enough. Overpriced, overrated, and overly terrible. The bun for the burger I got was saturated in grease. You could literally squeeze it out like a wet sponge. The burger looked like it was fried in oil as well. The sweet potato fries were soggy, limp, greasy, and over-seasoned. I got a vanilla milk shake and it seemed like 90% milk. Insult to injury that they charged you almost 7 $ for it.

Great burger. Exceeded my expectations. Burger was juicy and tender and just excellent overall. Don’t need any fancy toppings to make this stand out.

This small place is just perfect for a burger craving. Also has unique sides you have to try. You are always welcomed warmly and sincerely thanked for coming in. A real fave.

The bacon and cheese burger was good, but it was a little oversalted. I really enjoyed the fries with the herb aioli. Service was okay.

We had a salad, three different burgers, and three different sides. It was all excellent. Burgers, toppings, and bun were perfect. The fries(regular and sweet potato) were delicious. My favorite were the onion rings. Also, service as polite and quick. We’ll be back!

The food is amazing; however, the wait time is horrible! It took at least 30 – 45 minutes just to get our order when there were only 6 customers inside the restaurant. The décor is pretty cool as you feel like you are in a Coca-Cola museum with all of the old school products.

I went to Stax Burger in Roswell, my grandson and his grandmother to have a burger. We got there and was we had to wait to be seated for about ten minutes. Then we decided to take it to go. We felt rushed and once I got home I realized my mushrooms where burned. I called the restaurant to complain and I was told by someone that picked up the phone, so what you what me to do. I decided to call back for a manager and for over thirty minutes no one would answer the phone. That was my first visit and will never and I will pass the word.

FANTASTICBURGERS. Rivals Rhea’s for the best burger in town… and wins. The problem is, that is the only factor in their favor. Everything else on the menu(literally everything) is garbage. I have tried different items each time but I am unable to find anything above terrible. Service is poor, with the restaurant rarely staffing more than one waiter at a time. And the resturant smells like a sewer… The burger is enough to pull this restaurant to 4 stars… just beware everything else.

/TL;DR A bit atypical for a burger place, but that’s what makes it cool. Check out the sides; you’ll see what I mean. Servings are un-American!(That is to say, on the smallish side.) /ATMOSPHERE Not entirely sure since we went outside about as soon as we went in. It was a rather quiet afternoon there so as far as I’m concerned, it was quite nice. The strip mall location is a little bizarre. /FOOD We threw down the blue burger as well as the pork and chorizo. I thought both were more than alright but nothing really spectacular. They were presented well, but it was much like going to Flip. Nothing which would really make me want to deviate from the standard fare. I just love a burger done perfectly without all the fanfare. The sides were amazing though. We went with the jalapeño coleslaw and the mac and cheese. I think my favorite part of the meal was the coleslaw. I could eat endless bowls of it. The mac and cheese, comprised of American cheddar and goat cheese along with crispy pancetta, was on the level with places like Bones. Better, maybe. /SERVICE Friendly and attentive. We were practically the only table though so it’s hard to know what it’s like when it gets busy. The server was one of the restaurant owners so it was fun to sit and chat awhile. HOWTOREADMYREVIEWS: 1 Star — Does not approach edible. Enter at your own risk. 2 Stars — If I’m in the area, I’d pick something else. 3 Stars — I would stop by if I happen to be in the area. 4 Stars — I would pick this place out of other places nearby. 5 Stars — I would go out of my way to dine here.

My friend raved about the Groove Burger and I just had to try it myself. Had a hard time finding the restaurant initially because it’s tucked in a strip shopping center with no clear signage. If you can’t find it, it’s behind(to be exact — to the northeast of) Hola! Taqueria and Bar. Groove Burger — a burger with beef patty, PORKBELLY(!), cheese and a fried egg(with RUNNYYOLK!), served on a grilled cheese sandwich, with another grilled cheese sandwich on the side. Yup, all the decadent and unhealthy stuff in one burger! It was DELICIOUS! especially the pork belly — seasoned with lots of pepper! Not to mention, the egg yolk dripping down all the goodies… YUM! I ordered a side order of sweet potato fries. The taste is exactly how it should taste like, but the texture fell waaaaaay short. It was soft and soggy… bummer. The horseradish dipping sauce is meh… nothing special(Maybe anything would taste bad on soggy fries). Overall, I would eat the burger everyday for the rest of my life. However, due to the poor signage and soggy fries, I can only give it a 3 Star. it’s really a 3.5 Star, but I just can’t justify giving it a 4 Star considering the caliber of restaurants getting 4 Stars in my reviews.

Great beef burgers. Trying variations next time. Great wine prices. Onion rings a bit thick, told we can ask for thinner. Definitely will be back.

I’ve eaten here seven times since discovering this jewel in Jan 2015. Six times with the wife and we took friends twice. I’ve never had a bad experience. The burgers are exotic and always interesting, but to me, it’s mostly about the sides! We always get the sautéed brussel sprouts and usually get the fried okra, but have to show some restraint when choosing between the immense onion rings, the calamari or yet another side. A couple of times I’ve had the wedge salad and three sides(and took food home). I had the scampi burger four times. It’s built on a base of shrimp and includes a very thinly sliced lemon which is battered and deep fried. It defies my definition of «burger» except it’s served on a bun and there’s lettuce and a tomato slice involved. Many items come with their own sauce. I can understand why other reviews run lukewarm. I’ve been there when only one other table was occupied and I’ve been there when the inside tables were full, and staffing seems to be an issue. When there’s only one apparent server and a big crowd, the service suffers. I’ve also been there when the brussel sprouts were rich in garlic(the way I really like them) but a couple of times they had very light garlic, but they’re still good. One review said everything was salted/seasoned to the max. That’s probably an exaggeration, but all I can say is welcome to the South! My wife and I usually spend less than $ 40(including tip) to eat here, so it’s about the same price as eating at Mellow Mushroom. At these prices, you pay your money and take your chances. If you visit on an inconsistent night, just try again.

Our new burger spot. So I normally go to burger fi and love that place but the food here is even better. It doesn’t have the«cool» décor but its a nice place. I ordered the regular staxx burger with salt and vinegar and a beer. My fiancé ordered the the shrimp burger and we both loved it. Both had so much flavor we were impressed. Service was a bit slow but well worth it. Think they were just short handed for dinner rush. Will definitely be back.

Stax just doesn’t stax up. I was disappointed. It was clean and the service was great, but the food was subpar. And by subpar I mean really salty. I got the Nacho Burger and onion rings. My wife went for a regular burger with fries. We both agreed everything was salted/seasoned to the max. It’s too bad because the place had a charm to it, but the food wasn’t anything we’d come back for. There are so many burger places to choose from, you can find something much better than Stax.

With the increasing popularity of gourmet burger bars, there are plenty of options for you to choose from in Roswell. I wouldn’t choose this one again. We came in on a Friday night and were immediately greeted with the pungent smell of ammonia, not burgers or fries. It was quite off-putting, but we had heard decent things about Stax and it was on my list of places to try for years. They sat us at a table off to the side where we could view the eclectic mix of decorations. Not quite sure what ambiance Stax is trying to convey, but is is completely random and intermixed. Popular filament lighting hangs from the ceiling with Coca-Cola signs on the wall next to oil paintings. The music was 90s alternative and really loud for the 3 tables of patrons attempting to talk. After perusing the menu and asking the server for his recommendations, we ordered a wedge salad and salt and pepper calamari to start. The Wedge was solid with both lettuce and bacon fresh and crisp. The salt and pepper calamari stood on its own and didnt even need the accompanying sauces. We tried a couple of the gourmet burgers off the list and opted for the heavenly fries mentioned so often. The fries were perfectly brown and crispy with a side of aioli that was strong and delicious. In heaven! But, our burger patties were insanely dry, overlooked, and literally had no flavor. We actually pulled them out of the buns to try alone. Definitely a let down. I also had pork belly on my burger with grilled cheese’s as buns. The pork belly, unlike the bacon earlier, was beyond overcooked to the point of crumbling and the grilled cheese was cold, dry, and had zero flavor whatsoever. While the food was hit or miss, we definitely wanted to try a shake with the burgers. We opted for the dark chocolate shake which comes with toasted marshmallows on top. Oh boy, the first bite into the toasted marshmallows brought back visions of S’Mores, but when we got to the shake it tasted like a powder mix. The flavor was very week and the consistency runny. We ate the marshmallows and left the shake in the glass. Overall, they have a nice patio and some of the dishes are worth a visit, but not sure I will come back for the trial and error it would take to find them.

«Okay, he either said, „move to the back of the throat,“ or he „wants a root beer float“.» — Finding Nemo(2003) I must say, they do know how to make a good burger, but the place was absolutely desolate. I worry when I walk into a place at 1pm on a Friday and it is empty that the 1 person you see working is playing on their cell phone. It was raining, but should that really make a difference? Obviously, we were seated right away — it was me and my niece(12, almost 13 at the time) and we were famished. She is a plain Jane when it comes to burgers, just give her a juicy burger with a thick slice of melty cheddar and she is happy. She also got the Dark chocolate shake with the burnt marshmallows on top — again, happiness abounded. I got her some fries as well and she was well satiated. I opted for the Mushroom Swiss burger. sweet potato fries and a root beer float. The burger was delicious. The meat well-seasoned, the toppings were a bit sparse, however. Albeit tasty, I expect the toppings to be spilling out the sides when I order something of this nature. It also was cooked more than the Medium Rare I requested. When I am the only customer in the place, how do you over cook the burger unless you are busy watching TV or texting your girlfriend in the back? The root beer float really hit the spot on a hot and somewhat muggy August afternoon and the sweet potato fries were not quite crispy enough on the outside, but they had a good flavor — the aioli was a nice touch. Our experience was good, not great. We should have been well taken care of — again, the only people in the place — and our waters were not quickly replenished. We only received 1 set of refills on those. We did have food left over and I asked for boxes and the bill. The bill was brought and I had to ask again for the boxes. I’ll give them a go again, but maybe they need to be busy to care to be attentive? Not sure, but the food has potential.

Stax is tucked in one of the older shopping centers off of Holcomb Bridge. It’s easy to miss with minimal road presence, but I certainly felt rewarded for trying it. The environment is low key. The waiter was relaxed, but attentive. It had the feel of a European café. The menu was more eclectic than I was expecting and had a totally fusion vibe. The menu is a la carte, but the prices correspond nicely so that meals are still affordable and on par with other casual dining. The food was really great — not phenomenal — but truly delicious. I ordered a bizarre combination of the blue burger(two thin patties, blue cheese, bacon, and grilled onions — a classic) and the ten vegetable fried rice as my side. Both were very tasty and fresh. I wasn’t honestly expecting the food to be as good as it was. I was expecting just another burger joint and this was anything but. I will definitely return and would recommend the place.

Finally made my way to Roswell to try this place out with my bf. First Impression, this place is small. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but there is only a handful of seating inside and outside the store. I decided to come here after reading and looking through pictures on Unilocal.Overall, this place is a lot smaller than I thought. We went inside and noticed that the store is pretty empty for a Saturday night. I have to admit I was a bit scared, because at this point I was skeptical about the food. I ordered the PORK&CHIRIZO burger, which turns out to be top notch. The pork and chorizo: Potato disc, fried egg and ketchup. When our food arrived, I couldn’t help but notice how good everything looked. I love how they serve their burgers without the bun on top, to show you everything on the burger. My Pork & Chirizo burger looked like a glorious mess of deliciousness and the Dark Chocolate Milkshakes my bf ordered was very mouthwatering. The fries we ordered to split were so plentiful that we should have ordered a single serving. Oh, and the Onion Rings are HUGE! It was big on onions and small on batter. Our dining experience was pretty quiet because our mouths were stuffed for food. No need to talk when we both wanted to savor the food. Unfortunately, we didn’t finish our fries. We kept eating them, even though we were full. The fries were hand-cut and perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just an overall classic burger meal. Overall, their burgers are hearty. The price was reasonable, and I thought the service was great(even though I read on Unilocal that a lot of people have been complaining about their service). We would definitely come back, and recommend this place to anyone.
