Tasty fried chicken strips. My parents favorite fried chicken place. Great tea, rolls and gravy.

Their chicken strips are the best! All the sides are delicious. The fried chicken is by far the best for a fast food place. No getting off from your car, your order and food are brought right to your car. Excellent service!!!

If you pay with a debit or credit card, be sure to check your account. Mine was charged twice. Can’t tell me when it will be corrected. No corporate phone number?! Only way to talk to someone above the store manager is to leave your name and phone number. What kind of scam is this?

Sweet baby Jesus, just eat here. Everything is good(even the salad, get it with crispy chicken and balsamic vinaigrette) except the mac n cheese which is just meh. Oh yeah, and get some sweet tea, too.

I had a chicken salad for lunch, it was about 11:30 so I was in & out of the drive-thru very fast which was very nice to not wait in line for once. The salad was ok, it needed more lettuce for my likings. But over all the chicken was flavorful & very moist & tender. I’d get it again like I always do!!!

The workers here are as courteous as it gets, and the service is excellent. The only reason I don’t give a full 5 stars is because the chicken can be pretty greasy. But I still frequently eat there because you can avoid most of the grease by simply ordering either their breasts or the chicken strips, which is what I always do. Their breasts are greasier than some other people’s breasts, but breasts tend to be a dry kind of meat to begin with, so Bush’s breasts are just right and taste excellent to me. Hmm, maybe they deserve 5 stars, but still, since I’m limiting myself to those two menu items only(breasts and chicken strips), it maybe doesn’t deserve the full 5 stars for that reason, but their breasts and strips are excellent, so on that basis, it’s a fine place to dine at.

I eat fried chicken at multiple places ranging from Popeyes, KFC, chicken express, Raising Cane’s, etc. With that being said, Bush’s Chicken is one of my all-time favorites. This location’s food is just as good as the other places. The location is clean and the staff here is really young(like high school kids) but they’re really nice and courteous to all the customers. One unique aspect of them that I noticed that they are very big on community. They’re always having some kind of food drive or donation linked with Round Rock High School(across the street). I absolutely love the«Chicken Tender dinners» here. They’re so nice and crispy. They have lots of flavor here and are not overly dripping with grease like other places. The sides here are also excellent. They have all of the favorites like fries, mash potatoes, corn, cole slaw but there’s also some unique ones like the pepper poppers and fried okra. The«fried okra“here is one of my favorites and I can’t get enough of it. Also, don’t forget to get«Bush’s Famous Sweet or Un-sweet Tea». I’m a big iced tea lover and you can purchase it at the location in gallons! I’d definitely recommend Bush’s if you’re craving some fried chicken and you want to support a Texas business! P. S. They’re always mailing out coupons so it’s not hard to get super sweet deals on family dinners!

The Unilocaler who Unilocaled ‘Sweet Baby Jesus!’ was absolutely right! Probably the best crunchy chicken thighs I’ve tasted thus far. Mom and I also had crunchy fried okra and it was fabulous. I have also never seen a chicken place, not to mention a non-pancake restaurant, serve honey sauce at your table. Tried combining it with ketchup and hot sauce, dipped the chicken… it was heavenly. Their concept of paper towel vs. napkin entices one to just eat chicken with no finess, makes it an even sumptuous experience. This joint matches or beats KFC for sure.

I’ve never had there fried chicken but there fried Chicken Gizzards are worth every penny. Always crunchy, toasty, and freshly fried. There drive thru service is always great(never gone inside). Hoping to one day not be in such a rush for I can truly enjoy what they’ve got to offer

I don’t eat a whole lot of fried chicken but when I do, I like to eat it at a good place. Somewhere that’s clean and not greasy. Hubby was a given a coupon for Bush’s so we thought why not give it a try. Walked in and I was inhaling the lovely smell of fried chicken, not the heavy greasy smell when you walk into Popeyes or Church’s. The place was busy. I got the 2 piece meal with coleslaw. The chicken was cooked perfect. It wasn’t greasy and it had a perfect crisp. Yes I am a fan and plan to be back… soon.

The crust on the chicken is ooohhhh so good. I love this place. The food is always hot and fresh. The drinks are priced great for the size. No complaints from me.

I live near by, and occasionally when I’ve needed something quick and easy, and not a burger, I think to myself«Lets give Bush’s another try. I always leave feeling slightly disappointed I went here. It’s not bad by any means and they have a somewhat varied chicken/sides menu. But it always seems like for the price, I could get something from KFC down the road for slightly less and be just as happy. It’s not bad chicken, and the sides are okay, but it’s nothing special. I guess my biggest dislike is when going through the drive-thru you are met by a carhop, before you can really look at the menu and decide what you want, kinda awkward.

You can’t find better southern fast food than this ladies and gents. They have great batter for their chicken fingers and everything appears fresh every time. I’ve ordered(which is more than I’d like to admit).

Not only is the food always on point, the service is great! Tonite we ordered from the drive thru and we were told park of our order would talk 20mins. Instead of providing us with a half-hearted apology, Kyle was sincere and very accommodating while we waited. He also checked on us a few times to make sure we were ok. It’s so rare these days to find such awesome customer service-kudos to Bush’s for hiring such a great employee!

I love this place. It’s not convenient to where I live but we still manage to pick up from here about once a month. I’m never disappointed in the chicken tenders and fried okra. ½ sweet tea and ½ regular tea is perfect too. It’s not 5 stars because the gravy is kind of hit or miss. But everything else is just right.

Originating out of Waco, by Keith Bush, who has apparently sold out to Hammock Partners LLC, which is headquartered in Austin, Bush’s Chicken is using the slogan; «Fried Chicken Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This». I got news for you boys, it does, starting at my house. That’s a whole new argument though. Located right beside the car wash and a Sonic, and across from RR High, Bush’s is conveniently located on the busy trek of RR620. I’ve eaten here several times, and, each time I have been greatly disappointed. I’m not sure why I’ve never reviewed them before now. I ignored this chain for a year or more, until tonight. I realized that there are so many businesses around me that I frequent, but, I never(or rarely) check in or review. Let this be the year of improvement. When Bush’s first opened, I went through the drive-thru and got us some chicken and fries. They put the chicken on top of the fries in the same box. What you ended up with was soggy limp fries and greasy bland chicken. I was never impressed with the chicken and fries here. They use the crinkle fries that you would expect to be all things crisp, but, they are limp as all get out. As for the chicken? Seriously? Here is a quote from their web site: «Our sacred mission is to serve the best fried chicken in our markets. Our high quality fresh chicken, proprietary marination mixes, batter, and cooking techniques are unmatched in the industry.» Oh baby, they got that all wrong! I went through the drive-thru today and got us some legs and breasts and, of course, fries. They have separated the fries from the chicken by putting them in a separate bag. Still the same olé soggy limp fries that will make you wanna fry slap someone! The chicken seems to have gotten greasier, saltier, and, still lacks of flavor. I picked up my breast to have a bite and the damn thing disintegrated! The skin slid off as I was biting down causing me to damn near drop my breast. The meat was so salty, greasy, bland, and, somehow dry. Eeew. Hands down, the worst chicken and fries I have ever eaten. Seriously people, check out Gus’, Popeyes, or Church’s for your fast food chicken fix. Welcome Bush’s, to my «Nasty List»!

Stopped here for some fried chicken livers for my wife and she loved them. I asked her how she could tell the difference between a «good» chicken liver versus a «bad» one since they all taste bad, would you believe that she disagreed with me? Maybe I should have said that we had a fowl difference of opinion. I had the chicken tenders and they were excellent and good to the last bite. Good gravy too. …yes ma’am…on a side note, we had a young lady come out and take our order at the drive through lane… kinda neat. The food was good n we both loved it. Will definitely eat here again.

This chicken was ok to me. My love was craving it … strange as how this was our first time ever having it. FOOD: he ordered the actual chicken while I ordered the tenders. The mac n cheese was overcooked(noodles overboiled) and needed more flavor.. I’m not one for gravy but my fiancée loved it. So kudos to them for that. Will I be back. sure but after I try Golden chick and chicken express.. .
