First let me say, that I am in fact a steak snob. I truly believe that if some idiot were to order a filet mignon or prime rib well done, that they should be asked to leave. The wife and I decided to take a chance on this steak house, since we did not want to drive downtown and deal with the traffic /parking, as well as a bill that would exceed $ 125 for two. We were seated promptly, and had the bartender as our waiter. He was very professional, and cordial, and took the time to explain how fresh the foods were without a long drawn out story. I ordered the Filet Mignon with Lobster sauce on top, along with creamed spinach and blue cheese salad as sides. Wow. Side salad was awesome — Romaine lettuce leaves with creamy blue cheese and chunks, bacon, and tomatoes. Yum. Creamed spinach was awesome as well. The steak melted in my mouth. There were chunks of lobster meat on top of the steak in the béarnaise sauce. My wife also ordered a filet mignon. The ONLY reason I did not give this place 5⁄5 stars, is that the béarnaise sauce on top of the steak was a tad bit spicy in my opinion for this type of sauce — seemed like a tad too much cayenne pepper or similar. Also, I ordered the 8 ounce steak, and I received the 6 ounce steak(and charged for 6 ounce). I didn’t mind in the end, since I was full and it cost $ 4 less anyways. We left dropping a measly $ 65 for dinner for two. ½ of what I would have paid downtown at a chop house. Will definitely be back!

My parents and I decided to come here on Tuesday night, 1÷19÷16, around 6:55PM. We were in the shopping center adjacent, and our other choices were Applebee’s, Logan’s Roadhouse, Red Lobster, which all seemed really busy. There was no wait and we were seated right away. The service was fair to start. The waitress brought us our drinks and when my mother did not like the drink she ordered, the waitress removed it from our bill at her own suggestion. My mother and I weren’t very hungry, but my father was. If you’re not very hungry and looking for something light, this is not really the place to go, we knew that but thought that we could find something that might work. Since there aren’t any«light» fairs offered here, and even the main course salads where too heavy, and we were not that hungry, my mother and I decided to order from the«Side Chopped Salad» section of the menu, under sides, because it had a «Mixed Greens Salad» option. The waitress brought us our food and hightailed it of there. The salads that my mother and I received consisted of iceberg lettuce, no other greens. So we called the waitress back. Me: «Excuse me, but we ordered the Mixed Green salad.» Waitress: «That is the mixed greens salad.» Me: «Really? This is an iceberg lettuce salad, there are no mixed greens in here. Do you see any mixed greens?» Waitress(with attitude): «No. Don’t ask me, I didn’t make the salad. The people in the back make the salad, and that is how they make it. I just serve what they give me, I don’t make it, and more blah, blah, blahs.»(Digging her own grave) Me(remaining calm and trying to talk to her so that she would understand that I am not blaming her): «We ordered this salad because the menu stated Mixed Greens, if we had known that it was iceberg lettuce, we would not have ordered it.» Waitress(attitude again): «Well if you don’t like it, I can take it back and have them make it with the other greens, but that is how that salad is made, more blah, blah, blah…» and bunch of other stuff that was nonsense and trying to cover her herself. Longhorn Steakhouse, if you are going to be so descriptive as to state that your side salad is a mixed green salad, and then serve an iceberg salad in its place, this is considered a misrepresentation of the product at hand or false advertising. It makes me feel that if I ever come back here, I going to have to have the wait staff describe in detail, any item I am interested in ordering just so I am no disappointed and deceived when my meal arrives. Below is the iceberg salad that received instead of the«Mixed Green» side salad that we ordered.

Found was terrific. Very good steak. The problem that we just discovered are 3 charges on our credit card for this restraunt on this date. We will be disputing these charges. A group of us took a guest out to eat. We asked that our bill include an additional charge be added to it. They did not do as we requested. They brought us 1 bill with one charge. My wife tipped them and that was it. If our CC company refunds all 3 I will return and pay this bill in person, dealing directly with the manager. Please watch your charges, keep your receipt, and write out the total amount on the restraunts copy. It’s possible they have a honesty issue. This would be a real problem. John

We went here again last night and the steaks were perfect as always. I usually try to avoid chain restaurants. But this is my daughter and grandsons favorite place to go. I work mostly on the west coast so whenever I come to town they want to go here. Last night I had the ribeye with the Parmesan crust. It was cooked to perfection and you could cut it with a fork. 1 star off for service as I think many of their waitpeople are new. Last night was my grandsons birthday and they brought him and ice cream sunday which was very nice but nobody sang happy birthday. I would have liked a little more celebration.

After a 30 min wait in a packed waiting area, we were finally seated. This was on a Fri. night, so we were expecting this anyway. I could see there were about 5 empty booths and tables, but people were still waiting. I suppose they didn’t have enough waiters or waitresses to cover the whole restaurant. I ordered a well done steak-no pink, and had told the waiter to have it butterflied so it wouldn’t toughen under the longer cooking time. The steak came out great, it was tender yet cooked throughout without any pink. My husband had the strawberry salad and veggies which he had ordered individually since they don’t have a vegetable plate. Everything was very good, and the waiter was pretty good about checking on us, but I could see he had a lot of tables to cover, and therefore took a little longer to refill my tea. I will say that my mashed potatoes were very good, but there was a well of butter/oleo in the middle of it that was too greasy for me. Next time I will order the baked potato with butter on the side.

The steakhouse was very pleasant. It is really open akin to a large dining room so just about every table is in the open. The waitress Nicole was very nice and efficient and a good sense of humor. This was not our first time to this chain and had menus items already in mind. I had the hand chopped salad and sirloin and shrimp Combo while my wide have the fillet minion. We ordered medium rare when I found out that it should of been medium because the medium rare is really a rare cooked steak. This chain is somewhat inconsistent in this manner from one store to another so be sure to ask the wait person before you order your steak. Other that this snafu the meal was delicious. The manager did come over after the attempt to refine didi not produce the desired results and assured us that he was indeed sorry. We didn’t make. Stink about it but w should of got a scoop of some thing sweet to remove the sour taste left in my gullet. We’ ll be back and try again.

This has been our go-to place on steak nights, unless we have a Steiner ranch budget, which don’t happen very often. I prefer the NY strip and it is always a sure bet. The wife, on the other hand considers herself the steak coinnossieur and gets something different every time. Tonight she got the flo’s fillet. She ordered medium rare and got medium well. I pointed it out and they immediately had another on the grill. On top of that the server bought my next round. I don’t expect perfection, just a great effort. This place gets it.

My dining partner was given a Darden gift card and we choose to eat here. I thought all family chain steakhouses were the same. I was pleasantly wrong! The atmosphere and the food quality is far superior to most I have been too. I was also pleased with a rather extensive menu and the ability to customize my meal. The bread they brought out was delicious as were our fried corn appetizer. The salad was large and fresh and they had a wide variety of dressings. I was able to pick out a lighter option. I ordered my steak rare and it came out perfect. Not over cooked or under cooked. It was seasoned to perfection and melted in my mouth. It was also a good cut compared to what I have been served elsewhere. No gristle or fat. My rice pilaf was also fantastic. I really loved the atmosphere and the excellent service from our server. I wish I had remembered his name. We will definitely be back!

out by myself … sat at the bar and ordered seasonal muscles which were tasty however when I picked up the«garlic toast» it was just white toast and cold. I told the bartender so she went to order garlic toast and was told by the manager that the muscles came with plain toast. … I told her the menu states this and asked for the manager to come over. I showed him and asked why she was told by him and he denied telling her this. I have been here before and the service was not stellar but this takes the cake I’d say steer clear of this location.. it is chance that the service will be below par

Nice atmosphere. Pricey menu. Been here a few times because my sister loves it. I think it’s over priced and over rated. I always order steak of course. It has been over cooked twice. They do replace it, which takes forever. Service is always good, and the manager or whoever he is, is great. I personally prefer Texas roadhouse! Better prices and food!

I’m really a fan of this location of the Longhorn chain. It is in a very well kept building and has an excellent wait staff. Wifey and I have visited here multiple times since it opened and have enjoyed many selections on their menu. The steaks are always well done, I love the bread, and my wife is a fan of several of the seafood appetizers as well. They seem to take care with the sides they prepare with the meals as well, and not just as an afterthought. I will be back, thanks!

GLUTENALLERGIESSTAYAWAY!!! I really do like the people that I have encountered here, but I have to post this. I called a week in advance and asked if they could accommodate a gluten allergy and they said that they could. I took my wife, who has celiac’s disease, and again they reassured me that they could accommodate her needs. Not even 20 minutes after my wife and I leave the restaurant she breaks out in a sweat and a full on gluten attack. This is ongoing now and will likely lead to an awful night for my wife! Like I said, the people have always been very friendly and accommodating, but they clearly have no clue on how to serve or prepare food for a person with a gluten allergy. If you or a loved one suffers from a similar condition I would avoid this place like the plague.

Stopped in here because we wanted something meaty and potatoe-y and we were in the area. We were promptly seated in a comfortable booth and had very good service the whole time. They had a special with a meal with either an appetizer or desert for 12.99, with an upgrade to a filet for 20 bucks. Sold! Seemed on the cheap side so I didn’t expect that much. First, some amazing bread and butter came out. We had two servings of that. We decided to try both appetizer and dessert and split the chili fries. Tasty! The salads came out next and they were REALLY good. Your typical steakhouse salad, but really tasty and pretty large. Then, the main course. I got a filet and mashed potatoes and oh my — either I got lucky with the cut or they just do them right because it rivaled steaks I’ve had at twice the price. The taters were buttery and awesome. We packaged up the dessert for later and the carrot cake was still great the next day. Totally awesome meal for the price. Tons of things on the menu I also want to try. I’ll definitely be back.

ZEROSTARSGIVENIF I COULD! This place was absolutely horrible. It was my first time here and we decided to stop by before catching a movie. Although a steakhouse, I wasn’t in the mood for steak but the bf was, so I agreed to go and order something else. I ordered the shrimp and lobster pasta. Our waiter stopped by several times mentioning that our food would come out soon because their kitchen was«backed up». When it finally came, not shocking, it was cold! I of course asked for it to be heated up, I figured rubbery lobster and chewy noodles after being microwaved is better than cold food right? NOPE! It was still terrible. Didn’t even eat it. To add fuel to the fire, when the manager brought back my plate she had the audacity to say to me «You know we aren’t known for our pastas, try the steak next time.» … Uhh, so just because you’re known for your steaks, everything else on your menu customers should expect less than what they’re paying for? BTW, my bf ordered a steak and THAT was terrible. I can’t believe she gave such a snarky comment. We of course missed our movie. Never coming again.

Asked for water no lemon. Got water with lemon. Asked for a ribeye cooked like the outlaw ribeye. Twice Ivan(the waiter) brought me a ribeye with some kind of tomato crap on it. 3rd time I got the second steak over cooked with the tomato crap that I could taste, scraped off. I’ll never go back.

I am very frustrated with visit today. First my Waiter was pretty good, great personality and cool guy. In the beginning of the meal when ordering, I ordered the Beefsteak Tomato and Bacon Salad(BTW very deceiving name, there is not Beefsteak in it-they are referring only to the Big Tomato. They should really call it a Big Tomato Salad with 3 pieces of bacon!), and I asked how much the Grilled Corn would be to add. I asked if it was The $ 1.59 of full price and he told me it would be $ 1.59. A few minutes later he comes back to the table and tells me, no it would actually be $ 3.99. I explained to him that I based my order on his response and he needed to honor what he told me. In addition when ordering the corn I told him the picture looked great and I needed to make sure that they knew I wanted it to have the same amount of seasoning and sauce on my corn. It needed to look pretty close to that picture. Well, when the corn arrives it looked like something I made at home with steamed corn a few splashes of sauce, and bits of seasonings. I immediately told him to take it back and if he needed the picture to take it with him to the chef so he could get this right. They took it back and well lets say it wasn’t much better at all. I was all good, I guess, you know. I can live with this. But then I get my check and in stead of them actually fully correcting the price they the discounted my ticket .95 cents. Now I may not have gotten the best grades, but .95−3.99 is 3.04 and not the cost I was told, and promised for the corn of $ 1.59. I did not even make waves. I was on my lunch break and really didn’t have time, but it was very frustrating. Not happy about that! Really debating on the rating, because the salad was ok, The waiter was pleasant, but I am very frustrated, so I will rate it a 2. Needs some work!

Stopped by or a father’s day meal and had a pleasant experience. First off, we called in ahead of time and they said the wait would be approximately 30 minutes. We showed up 5 minutes later and for whatever reason they sat us immediately. Needless to say, the hostess was nice. When seated, we were greeted by a very nice and talkative waitress. She always smiled and checked on us constantly. The complimentary bread was delicious. I ordered an 18oz bone in ribeye medium rare. The steak and sides came fresh and delicious. Parts of the steak came out more rare than medium but it tasted great so I didn’t complain. I put in another item after the initial order and I think she forgot it but I was full so I didn’t complain. Overall I was happy with my visit. The wait staff is friendly and the food was good(ribeye, mashed potatoes). I would recommend this location as a decent steakhouse to satisfy a craving from time to time

Very good for a chain! I have been here 3 times and enjoyed each visit. Staff was great and food was delicious. Good steaks, sides, salads and appetizers– haven’t had a dessert. Last visit we had the Porterhouse for 2 and while it was really good, I think it might’ve been cheaper to get 2 separate meals for the amount of actual steak vs. bone.

**Disclaimer: This is review is for happy hour only! I have never visited this establishment during any other time.** I’ve been to Longhorn Steakhouse a couple times for happy hour. We discovered it randomly and it is in Round Rock so off the usual happy hour path(aka less crowded). The happy hour is only available at the bar and each time I go I don’t have any issues finding a seat. The bartender is very nice and friendly. Longhorn Steakhouse has great prices on apps($ 2-$ 4). Not only are the prices great but they taste great and the portion sizes are great for two. Off the happy hour menu I’ve had the following: Spicy chicken bites Crispy jalapeño shooters Sweet corn fritters All three are fantastic. So I go here for happy hour but the drinks I’ve had aren’t on the happy hour menu. Don’t fret there are happy hour drink specials. I’ll keep this newly discovered gem on the happy hour list as it is good food, good service, great prices, and not too far from where I live.

I’ve given Longhorn the requisite three visits before finalizing my opinion. Each return with the hopes of improvement. No dice… I should have learned after my first couple visits, but thought I’d give it another shot and maybe stray outside the box a wee bit. Without going into great detail about the specific meals I’ve had, I’ll explain the general negative points which were represented in each visit. 1. Corporate restaurants, whether you like them or not, on consistency. Nothing about Longhorn is consistent… in their inconsistency. 2. They somehow cannot manage to get the temps correct. Overcooked, every time. The first visit, I mentioned it and waited for the corrected steak. It took about half an hour to receive another overcooked steak. At that point I was already hangry and my companions were done… so I ate it and moved on. Second visit, overcooked. Returned it and was presented with a severely UNDERcooked steak. Ok grillmonkey… you want to be a smartass, fine. I sent it back and was rewarded with a leatherlike steak that was clearly prepared by Chef Mike. This time, I didn’t even finish my meal.(hold this thought) My third and final time was not of my own choice. This time, I decided to change up and go for a burger. The Primetime…“piled high with shaved prime rib”…direct menu quote… this moves us to #3 3. Piled high??? Barely. The prime rib was scant and dry. The burger… yup, you guessed it… overcooked. Seriously, how can you work at a steak house and have no idea how to gauge your temps? 4. Service lacks… what’s that word? Oh… personality. Robotic and just plain apathetic. 5. The place is not clean. Empty restaurant… dirty unbussed tables… why? Save your time and frustration. Choose anywhere else.
